    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog / Spitz. Volunteer Your Love, and Save Lives! Would you consider being a fosterhome for an American Eskimo dog? Heart Bandits of Greater Los Angeles rescues many dogs a year from shelters, homeless owners, the streets, and other desperately sad situations. Each dog needs time in a foster home before they can be adopted to a loving family and a foreverhome. As a foster, depending on a dog's needs you might just provide love, food and shelter, or in special cases, be the one to watch over a sick dog's recovery or give basic training to a puppy. It all depends on what kind of dog you would like to help. You can also decide what time-frame to devote to a needy dog: Temp-fostering involves periods of 1-4 weeks when a dog is going to be transferred elsewhere after a short period in your home. Typical fostering is a longer commitment to care for a dog throughout the process of locating a foreverhome; sometimes this only takes a week or two but in other cases can take months. While you foster we will engage with you regarding the process of matching the dog to a new owner; the search will be done via internet networking, public adoption events, email campaigns, individual meet-and-greets, and more. You can save a life and change a life! (Pictured here is Angel, who was rescued and adopted via our fosterhome program. If you are interested in adopting a dog like her from Heart Bandits, we have many to choose from. On this page consult our link labeled "See More Pets" or "Find a Shelter/zipcode 90239" or "Other Pets at Shelter".) If you have questions or would like to learn more, please email our Chapter Director LoriPasch@yahoo.com . She will send you a list of current dogs that need fostering (so that you can look for an appropriate match for your home) and provide a FosterHome Application. *Pictured: This photo is of a dog we previously rescued and found a home for. This dog pictured is in her forever-home and is not available for fostering or adoption. Please contact us for information about our current available dogs. =============================== To arrange a one-on-one meeting with this HEART BANDITS dog: 1. Visit http://heartbandits.com/forms/textadoptap.html Copy/paste the text into your email program, type in your answers, then email it to LoriPasch@yahoo.com (be sure to include the dog's name in the questionnaire) 2. After you have emailed the questionnaire to LoriPasch@yahoo.com , call Lori at 213-200-5158 for your phone interview and schedule your doggie appointment.

    Eddie of Kis...

    rescue
    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). Meet Eddie! Eddie is a very gentle, laid back boy and he would make a wonderful companion dog for the right person. He likes to go on walks and is good on a leash - he's quite sure with an every day walk, he could get VERY good on a leash! Eddie is a little wary and reserved and it does take him some time to warm up to you, but once he does, he adores you and is very loyal. Eddie loves attention and to loves be petted, but he is not really a cuddler or enjoy being picked up. He does not jump up on any furniture and prefers to lay on the floor next to you. Right next to you. At all times. Eddie gets along with other dogs, but does not like assertive male dogs or younger dogs that get in his face. Actually, he is quite smitten with females dogs! We recommend a home where he could be an only dog or have the company of an older adult female dog. He is particularly attached to his male foster and would probably like a home with a male owner. We do not recommend that his forever home have any kids, as their high energy and activity level would be too much commotion for Eddie. If you are interested in learning more about Eddie or adopting him, please contact dyan@eskierescuers.org or complete our online adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. Regina

    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (long coat). Regina is a beautiful, happy little dog who is active and loves the company of other dogs. She also loves her toys and her bed. Because she is so shy with people, Regina is still working on being leashed up to go for walks. But when she's able to do so, she enjoys hitting the trails with Dogtown caregivers and regular volunteers. Regina was born in 2014. She arrived at Best Friends somewhat unsocialized and remains skittish of new people and situations. But she has come a long way at the Sanctuary and is slowly learning to trust people. She's also making progress on housetraining and riding in a car.

    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). Meet Brian of Kissimmee, FL. We estimate Brian to be about 8 years old. Brian is a very nice and well behaved dog. He gets along very well with most other dogs but definitely prefers humans to canine companionship. He loves to be right by your side. He has plenty of energy and loves to run around with his stuffed lamb in his mouth. He enjoys walks, but he is also just as happy sitting on the couch with you, watching televison or takling an afternoon nap together. Brian is quite a talker, so an apartment or condo setting probably wouldn't work for him. The neighbors might not appreciate all that Brian has to say! Brian would make a terrific companion for an adult or older person or couple, looking for an easy going, companion Eskie. Brian's foster says he is just the nicest all-round dog. If you are interested in adopting Brian, please complete our online adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org. Please direct any inquiries to dyan@eskierescuers.org. Rudy of Tall...

    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). Meet Rudy of FL! Rudy is a male estimated to be about 7 years old, and he weighs 24 pounds. Rudy is a very nice, sweet boy and his foster says he is a lot of fun to have around. While he gets along just fine with the foster's other three dogs, he really doesn't play with them, and spends a lot of time playing games on his own. His favorite game is to toss a ball for himself and then retreive it.....over and over again. This solo behavior might go back to his previous life, where he was primarily kept in alone in a pen, with no contact with his sick owner or other dogs. Rudy's ideal home would be a quiet one. Other dogs would be okay, but he'd probably be just as happy, or happier, alone. He seems to favor women over men and doesn't really like strangers.....in true Eskie fashion, he wants to nip at their feet and scare them away. He can be territorial of his home and possessions, so he needs a patient, Eskie experienced owner who is willing to work with him on these issues. He is loving and affectionate with his foster and loves nothing more than sleeping in bed and snuggling with her. If you are interested in Rudy, please complete our online adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org or direct any questions to dyan@eskierescuers.org. Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. For more information Contact ohioeskierescue@outlook.com Our little Bebe is a special dog...looking for that special new Momma. She was born in a Amish puppy mill or backyard breeder that supplies puppies to Petland her in Ohio. She lived in a crate at birth...was purchased...then lived her life in a crate again. She was tormented by kids/brats...then hit by the girlfriends boyfriend. So she is not fond of kids or men. I don't really blame her. She was then dumped at a local shelter who contacted Anne, then they went and bought a new puppy. Bebe is doing really well with Anne and the Eskie herd. She really likes other dogs. At 3 yrs old, she needed a dental badly, and had one in November 2016. She was then diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called stomatitis. It caused blisters on the gums and they bleed. We have it under control with a daily pill of Atopica and we spray her teeth 3 times a day. The spray kills the bacteria that causes the sores. It is a painful disease, but it does not stop her from being the fun loving and affectionate pooch that she is. She is up for adoption with Ohio American Eskimo Rescue. Email us at ohioeskierescue@outlook.com for an application. Please email us at ohioeskierescue@outlook.com here in Ohio for an application. We will not ship or transport our dogs; you have to come to Ohio so we can meet you. We want to make sure it’s the perfect match. https://www.facebook.com/Ohio-American-Eskimo-677778712318801/timeline This is a coutesy post please use the contact information provided
