    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: Randallstown, MD
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog. HI My name is Wolfie I am 12years old I didn't have a very good start to the New Year my owner was put in a nursing home I now live in a nice foster home with 3 other dogs and two cats but I really don't bother with the cats we all get along very well I did have some issues when I first got here I was marking everything but now I have stopped my foster parents says I was just nervous and scared now I am not so scared or nervous anymore I am fitting in just nicely. I am very quiet I love lots of attention I also like to be brushed but I get scared when a lot of new people come around I like to be introduced one person at a time. I love to go for walks and I love car rides I don't get on the furniture even though my foster parents say I can sometimes it sounds like I am growling but I am harmless so please won't you consider making me your fur baby and be my forever home my foster parents said if they didn't have three dogs they would snatch me up in a heart beat. So won't you consider adopting me just fill out an application at Eskie Rescue.org Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Chubs of Wis...

    rescue
    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Location: Randallstown, MD
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. This very sweet boy is located in Wise, Virginia and would love a new forever home more than anything! He was dumped at the Wise County shelter in southwestern Virginia by his owners, because they thought he was 'too old'; they didn't even bother telling the shelter his name. Fortunately he is safe for now in a shelter foster home. His foster mom says he weighs almost 40 pounds and is a little overweight, so she's calling him Chubs for now. She walks him daily and has cut back on his food some to get him back in shape. He's getting carrots for treat, and loving them! He had a long full coat when he arrived at the shelter, but it was so severely matted that it had to be shaved off. (see photo of him with long hair before groomer had to shave him down.) He will be absolutely gorgeous when it grows back! You will see in another of the photos that he doesn't have the typical spitz tail; it's not known if he was born that way or if he lost it at some point. This dear boy really deserves a loving forever home where he can be pampered and loved for years to come! Please e-mail Amy Johnson for more information: romeobeagle14@Gmail.com This is a courtesy post please use the contact information provided in the listing

    Chinook

    rescue
    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: St. Bonifacius, MN
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (long coat). Name: Chinook Best Breed Guess: American Eskimo Age: 9 years Gender: male Comfortable with children: not yet- working on building his confidence. He's done okay with kids 16 and up so far. Dog Friendly: yes- Chinook would LOVE to live with another dog in the home! Cat Friendly: yes, he loves our cat!!! Fence Required: no History: expired puppy mill dog Adoption fee: $350 (Adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, heart-worm test (adult dogs only), microchip implant, DENTAL, and spay/neuter surgery.) They say their is a dog for every person, and a person for every dog- well Chinook is looking for "his" person! Chinook is a very independent dog. He has a lot in common with our cat actually, he is happy to just do his own thing and doesn't necessarily want to be bothered by us. We also have never heard him bark and have had him for 2 months. His four favorite things are watching tv in the same room as us (Chinook never gets up on furniture), going for short walks in familiar areas, hanging out in our super securely fenced in yard, and playing with other dogs. Chinook is crate trained and we are working on house training. While Chinook isn't the cuddly type, he is happy being around us and the less we interact with him the more he grows to love us, the upside to this is he is never that obnoxious dog when you have guests over- he doesnt rub/sit or jump on people- just hangs out by himself and does his own thing, he really is the king of independence! He currently goes to "shy dog school" once every few weeks and it has been fun watching him make progress! He was feral when he first came to rescue and has been learning that people are gentle and safe and that life is meant to be enjoyed :) Chinook didn't come from a good background- he came from a really rough puppy mill so now he is learning what it is like to actually be a dog!! He makes us proud every day in small ways! Check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cornerofkindness Corner of Kindness Adoption Process: Submit your adoption application (can be found at www.cornerofkindness.org) so you can connect with my foster family and ask them your questions about me and maybe you'll even come to meet me! An adoption application doesn't mean you have to adopt me, or that you're the only applicant- it just shows you're interested in me! Corner of Kindness will forward your application to the foster parents who should contact you in 48 hours. Foster parents set up meet and greets so you can meet your potential new family member If everyone feels it’s a good fit then you have a home visit completed Sign an adoption contract Pay the adoption fee Enjoy your new family member! Duke of Kiss...

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: Randallstown, MD
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog. Duke came to us when his owner died. He is a very handsome pure bred standard male, 10 years old, and in excellent health. Given that Duke came from a previous home with a single, elderly owner - he would probably prefer a quieter home and one with no small children (under 10 years). He gets along well with other dogs but does not like cats. At all. Duke is quite socialable and loves people. Duke is a very happy boy and loves (almost craves) attention. He adores being petted every chance he gets and anytime you are willing. He loves to play, loves toys, and has shown no aggression to any people or other dogs. Duke is definitely a great companion dog. He wants to be near you at all times, and likes nothing better than to sleep next to your feet. Please complete our online adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org if you are interested in giving Duke his new forever home. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Pasha of Tam...

    Location: Randallstown, MD
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). Meet Pasha of Tampa, FL. Pasha is an 11 year old male who came to Eskie Rescuers when his daddy passed away. He is sweet, easy-going and a very gentle boy - a perfect loving companion for a senior individual or couple. He has been very well cared for and is in very good health. He's a bit overweight at his current 26 pounds and would benefit from an increased exercise routine and reduced calories plan. He LOVES to go on walks, the more the better! He gets along well with other dogs, so running around at a dog park is something he enjoys very much. He likes to be outdoors in the cooler weather, so a fenced yard or a screened porch to enjoy the afternoon breezes would be nice too (but not necessary). He really likes his people and their companionship, and wants to hang out with or sit next to you. He LOVES to be petted and especially enjoys a good belly rub. Pasha enjoys car rides too! Pasha is not familiar with cats, so he barks at them and tries to chase them. We do not know how he is around children, but given he lived in a home with an older gentleman, he'd probably prefer a quieter home than one with young kids. If you are interested in giving Pasha his forever home, please contact Eskie Rescuers and complete our online adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org. She is about 8 years old and 26 pounds. She is timid, but very friendly. Se love to have her belly rubbed and will follow you all over the house. She's so happy to be done with her life of breeding and is working hard to make up for all the fun she's missed. She loves other dogs, especially if they're smaller than she is. She will dance and bow and ask so nicely for them to play with her. She's pretty much potty trained too! She's doing really well with leash training and doesn't mind her crate (though she'd always rather be with her people!) If you're looking for a dog that fits the description "Sweetie Pie", then Indy just might be the girl for you!! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Frosty

    rescue
    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: Minneapolis, MN
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). ‚Äč Adoption Fee - $275 Meet Frosty! Frosty was adopted in 2015 and unfortunately has been returned to MARS due to his parents divorcing and being unable to keep him. Frosty was diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) in 2015. He takes budesonide, a locally-acting corticosteroid, for daily maintenance of the IBD. He does have sensitivities to certain foods (lamb, beef, salmon, wheat etc), and is currently doing GREAT on a turkey based dehydrated food. As long as his food stays consistent, he should have no further issues -YAY! Frosty does have flare-ups with demodectic mange which is non contagious but can cause some hairloss. Frosty was originally found as a stray and left unclaimed in a local impound. He is such a friendly and social little guy that is so full of love and affection. Frosty LOVES his people, belly rubs, cuddles and exploration. He especially loves going for rides in the car! Frosty is good with resident dogs and cats. He is also wonderful at the “kennel up” command! Do you have room in your heart and home for a bundle of love? Please feel free to fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION by clicking on the button below.
