    Breed: American Eskimo Dog

Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). I'm an approximately 10 year old, 18 pound, neutered male looking for a loving family. I'm good with other dogs and older kids. I love to be petted and give lots and LOTS of kisses! I'm very well mannered and love going for walks. One unique thing about me is that I don't bark. I would be a wonderful companion in a apartment or condo. My foster mom says she's only heard me groan or whimper (for attention) and that I'd be a lousy watchdog. In fact, I heard her telling someone that if the home was broken into, I'd probably lick the burgler to death! I've recently had dental work done and my bloodwork shows I'm very healthy. Won't you be my new owner? Foster is located in Scottsdale, AZ. If you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an online adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org and for questions email AngelERU@outlook.com. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). Eleanor aka Ellie, is a 2-year old Eskimo “Eskie” mix. Ellie loves people and is very patient with her little foster brother. She is good at coming when called and has learned what sit means, but prefers to rollover for belly rubs! She is super easygoing and pretty quiet. All she wants is to be near you cuddled on the couch or chase around after you in the backyard. She hasn’t learned to play with toys, but she knows not to potty in the house. Ellie has a great smile and is very photogenic! She can be a very independent dog, but can’t wait for her human to give her attention and treats; especially ham or a rawhide chew! Ellie is awesome at walking in her harness and leash. Ellis will do well in any loving environment whether it be playful kids, outdoor adventures, or relaxing inside. She doesn’t have any bad habits and always is on her best behavior. She can’t wait for her forever home! The adoption fee for Ellie is $250. The fee includes spay/neuter, microchip and all vaccines required for the age of the animal Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, foster based animal rescue. If you would like to meet Ellie, please fill out an application by going to wishuponarescue.org/adopt. Once we have reviewed your application, we will schedule a meet and greet at a place convenient for you.

    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (long coat). *** Fostered in Venice, FL *** Meet Charlie! Charlie is a VERY energetic 12 year old standard male Eskie and he weighs about 28 pounds. He is healthy and quite active and his foster said he's never seen such an energetic senior. He would love a fenced yard he could run around in, otherwise, be prepared for several brisk daily walks. This boy is a perfect Eskie companion - he is cuddly and LOVES people and attention - and he would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. He would be right with you, all of the time. He gets along well with other dogs, ignores cats, and is good with well-behaved kids. Charlie is being fostered in Venice, FL. If you have any questions about Charlie, please email dyan@eskierescuers.org. If you are interested in giving Charlie his new forever home, please complete our online adoption application on our website: www.eskierescuers.org Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Sugar of Mon...

    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog / Australian Shepherd. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. I have a two-year-old American Eskimo/Australian shepherd mix (Sugar) that I adopted in June 2016. She was supposed to be my husband's dog. My husband passed away in September 2017. I have another dog and I can no longer keep them both. This dog has great potential with the right owner but that's not me. She is smart, loving and she is very cute but she is super high energy and needs more time and attention than I have the time or patience to give her. She needs a place and/or person who can provide her with room to run or more exercise than I can give. I have a fenced back yard but it is not enough for this dog. When we got her she had (as far as I can tell) spent her entire life in shelters, mostly in a crate. She is an anxious dog (no wonder) who needs someone who understands dogs and will be patient with her. She has never bitten anyone and I have taken her to the vet many times (routine stuff - she's very healthy), and have had her groomed several times. I always hold her at the vet's office to prevent her being muzzled which would only make her worse. I stayed with her the first couple of times at the groomers, then she was on her own. She is not a mean dog but she will be the boss of other dogs. She will herd you and is too rough for young children. My other dog is a collie/Australian shepherd mix who is bigger than Sugar but is very submissive so they get along fine. I really need to find her a good home but I am afraid if I surrender her to the animal shelter she will end up euthanized. Can you help me? Please fill out an adoption application through www.eskierescuers.org and for more information please contact the owner Susan at <glasstrains@comcast.net>

    Bogie of Kis...

    Breed: American Eskimo Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog (medium coat). *** Fostered in Kissimmee, FL *** Meet Bogie! Bogie is an 8 year old male and as you can see from his pictures, he is a very handsome boy. Bogie is good with other dogs and adults, though he may take a few days to settle in with you and show his true, sweet personality. He would prefer a quieter home, as he is used to living with a single owner. He is very good on a leash and thoroughly enjoys going on walks and visiting with other dogs and people in the neighborhood. He is a perfect companion dog for a senior adult or couple. Bogie came to us quite a bit overweight, and has so far lost 2 pounds on his weight loss journey. He needs to lose at least another 7 or 8 pounds, so he requires an owner committed to daily exercise, a controlled diet, and measured portions. He will try to tempt you with his pleading brown eyes to feed him anything you are eating, but you must remain strong! He is currently being fed one can of high quality dogfood per day, split between the morning and evening meals. Bogie isn’t much of a fan of dry kibble….his foster is working at sneaking some into his diet. Bogie REALLY loves his food and wants to protect his food bowl, often a little too aggressively. His food bowl needs to be placed in a quiet, out of the way location, away from people and household traffic – and because of this, we also recommend he not go into a home with any children or visiting grandkids. Bogie is being fostered in Kissimmee, FL. We typically try to adopt within 3 or 4 hours of the foster home and require a home visit and meet and greet before an adoption is approved. Please email dyan@eskierescuers.org if you have any questions about Bogie, and if you think you are his perfect forever home and wish to adopt him, please complete our online adoption application on our website: www.eskierescuers.org. Posted Breed: American Eskimo Dog. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. For more information Contact ohioeskierescue@outlook.com Our little Bebe is a special dog...looking for that special new Momma. She was born in a Amish puppy mill or backyard breeder that supplies puppies to Petland her in Ohio. She lived in a crate at birth...was purchased...then lived her life in a crate again. She was tormented by kids/brats...then hit by the girlfriends boyfriend. So she is not fond of kids or men. I don't really blame her. She was then dumped at a local shelter who contacted Anne, then they went and bought a new puppy. Bebe is doing really well with Anne and the Eskie herd. She really likes other dogs. At 3 yrs old, she needed a dental badly, and had one in November 2016. She was then diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called stomatitis. It caused blisters on the gums and they bleed. We have it under control with a daily pill of Atopica and we spray her teeth 3 times a day. The spray kills the bacteria that causes the sores. It is a painful disease, but it does not stop her from being the fun loving and affectionate pooch that she is. She is up for adoption with Ohio American Eskimo Rescue. Email us at ohioeskierescue@outlook.com for an application. Please email us at ohioeskierescue@outlook.com here in Ohio for an application. We will not ship or transport our dogs; you have to come to Ohio so we can meet you.
