My foster mom says that I am a very sweet little girl who is potty trained and very good with the other dogs in my temporary home. I love toys and to play with other dogs, and I also love to snuggle up. I am blind and the vet says that I have probably been blind since birth. Not being able to see does not stop me from living life to the fullest! Once I have the lay of the land, I get around just like any other pup. I came in with heartworms and just started treatment but should be ready for my new home at the end of June. If you are looking for a little lady to love and who will love you back forever...that's me! Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. My name is George and I am about 6 years old. I am a very special Boston Terrier because I take care of my best friend Weezie who is blind. She is not a Boston terrier but I love her dearly. We are together all the time and I help her find her way through this world as her seeing eye dog, and we are the best of friends! Weezie and I need to stay together so we are looking for a very special family who will love us as a pair and give us a family to call our own. Our foster mommy says that you could not find a sweeter pair of dogs. We are house trained, crate trained and we LOVE cuddles on the sofa (but we will only come up if invited). We like to play with each other and we are truly happy dogs. Are you willing to take the two of us? We know someone will love us together. Tito Tuxedo ...

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Boston Terrier
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). TITO TUXEDO is an 8 yr old male that was Surrendered to BTRET by his owner. Though his family loved him dearly, a divorce changed everything for this sweet guy. He found himself spending 12-13 hrs a day in a crate. Time out of the crate to potty, eat, go for a walk or be with his people was brief and then back in the crate he would go for the night. Tito is very obedient, playful (loves a ball), likes going for a "ride," to the beach, the dog park, walks and basically anywhere his people go. Tito has impeccable house manners and is not destructive whatsoever. Tito gets along with all of the dogs in his Foster home and the dog park. Tito does not seem to be prey driven, so most likely would get along with a cat. If you're looking for a faithful companion or to add an awesome Boston to your "pack," Tito would be an exception choice. About Tito: • Age: 8 yrs old • Gender: Male • Color: Black & White • Weight: 20 lbs • Neutered • HW- • UTD on all Vaccines • Microchipped • Crate/Potty Trained = YES • Men, Women & Children = OK • Dogs = OK • Cats = UNKNOWN Tito likes his crate left open. He goes in it periodically during the day for a nap. He loves a blankie that he can get underneath. He prefers to sleep in his crate at night. In fact, he puts himself to bed. Tito does like to snuggle with his people on the couch during the day/early evening. Tito is quiet and a joy to have in the home! Tito Tuxedo's Adoption Fee is $350.00 If you want to know more about me, please email my buddy Christine at the Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee, Florida Division at: christyg59@hotmail.com WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER FACILITY WHERE APPLICANTS CAN MEET OUR BT's PRIOR TO INITIATING THE ADOPTION PROCESS. Each are lovingly cared for in our network of private foster homes until the perfect forever home can be found for them. Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog, over-the-road transports are done typically on a case by case basis. We can occasionally help with transport, if there is someone traveling your direction. PLEASE NOTE THAT AFTER MARCH 1, 2014, WE WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM NY, CT, RI, MA, VT AND NH Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions. The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., "under 6," as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma. We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog. The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids. Ask them. Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.

    Allie Kat

    Breed: Boston Terrier
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. Hi! My name is Allie Kat and I'm 7 years young. My foster mom and dad love me to pieces but my foster fur sisters, not so much. When I first came into the rescue I was scared and withdrawn. I attached myself to my foster mom and didn't want anyone else near us. With the help of the rescue and wonderful trainers I'm doing much better. It took a little time but I love my foster dad now and now give him lots of kisses. I even get along MOST of the time with 2 of my foster fur sisters. I would prefer a home as an only pet but with the right introductions and training, I would probably be ok with one other dog. My trainers said that a lower energy dog would be best. I need lots of exercise to help with all my energy. I am a great bed buddy and love to snuggle on the couch. I love to go for walks and play fetch with my ball. Could your home be the right place for me? Allie Kat is 7 years old and weighs 21 pounds. She would do best in a home without children or perhaps with older, considerate children. It can take her a little time to warm up to men. _____________________________________________________________________ Some of the dogs listed may not be cleared for adoption yet and many may be adopted prior to when you are approved and are next in line to work with the Adoption Coordinator. Please do not despair. We have new dogs coming into our Rescue all the time regardless of whether you see them posted here or not. If you are willing to be patient or if you are willing to adopt one of our older dogs, we suggest that you apply as soon as possible. The Adoption Coordinator works with the older applications first to find good matches with the dogs we have available at that time. Waiting to apply until you see a dog posted that you like usually ends with that dog being adopted by someone who submitted an application before you. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website to learn about our adoption process and to fill out an application. http://bostonrescueflorida.org/available-for-adoption/adoption-process/ Because we have Boston Terriers of all ages, we have a sliding scale for adoption fees generally ranging from $300 to $600 based on the age and health of the dog. In general the fees are: $600 - 9 wks to 23 months $550 - 2 yrs to 3 yrs $475 - 4 yrs to 5 yrs $400 - 6 yrs to 7 yrs $300 - 8 yrs to 9 yrs For dogs 10 yrs old and older, we just request a donation. Our fees cover vetting costs, shelter fees, fuel for transport while in the rescue, copying and printing of contracts and paperwork, our website presence, food, boarding, behavioral training and additional medical care. While the dog you adopt may not require all of these things, many other dogs in our system do. By adopting from Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida, you are not saving just one life, you are helping to save others as well.

    JAZZIE RENEE...

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Boston Terrier
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Jazzie Renee was found wandering the streets. She was filthy dirty, her nose was cracked, she had a sunburn and a horrible Cherry Eye. This gal has had several litters of puppies and was most likely the property of a Back Yard Breeder. We had her evaluated, spayed (she had Pyometra) and got her Cherry Eye repaired. It appears that Jazzie never lived inside as she doesn't have house manners, is not potty trained and is simply like a "Bull in a China Closet" right now, but is learning quickly. Her Foster Mommy will continue to work with her on her manners, potty training and walking on a leash. About Jazzie: • Age: 3 yrs old • Weight: 27.5 lbs • Female • Spayed • Color: Black & White • UTD on all vaccines • HW- • Microchipped • Crate trained: working on that/cries loudly • Potty trained: working on that • Walking on a leash: working on that • People = OK • Children = OK • DOGS = must be supervised very closely • CATS = UNKNOWN • At this time she would be best suited as an only dog. She is a beautiful girl and will be a fine addition to someone's home. She has a beautiful coat and is improving on getting along with other dogs. When she likes one, they play and rough house like BT's do. Still working on the potty training and walking on a leash properly. She is crate trained. She loves to be with her people and follows "me" everywhere. She is now 25#'s. She saw a squirrel today. If she was loose she would've chased it for sure! Once she's got some training under her belt, she may be able to be trusted with other dogs. She does love to be near her people at all times, is loving and gentle when she is content. This gal is currently a work in progress. The adoption fee will be $425.00 . Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. Hi! I'm Poco Grande but my foster Mom calls me Pocahontas. I'm 12-13 years young and I'm blind from cataracts, but I do see some shadows. I love a soft cushy bed to nap in. I love evening strolls by the lake and sunbathing. I have been struggling with some cervical neck issues that have caused me lots of pain in the past. Foster Mom Lady took me to an animal chiropractor and got me fixed right up. I'm now pain free and feeling good! I am pretty scared of thunderstorms and we have been having those a lot lately. Foster Mom Lady keeps me near her and this helps me feel safe.

Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. My name is Bonnie and I am about 4 years old. I came to BTRNT underweight and with some skin issues that caused me to lose my hair but that’s being taken care of and soon I will be a little beauty! My foster mom says that it's obvious that I had many litters before I was rescued but the doctor will make sure that doesn’t happen again. Unfortunately I came in HW positive and I also have an injury to one of my eyes but I am all fixed up now and can come home with you in early June. Despite all my health issues my foster mom says I have the sweetest little disposition. I am always happy and love attention. She laughs out loud when she sees my “Boston butt wag” she says my little butt looks like a windshield wiper when she comes home from work. I never bark and I follow my foster mom where ever she goes. I am crate trained and I am doing well potty training. Are you looking for a sweet baby girl who will love you forever? That's me!
