ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 09/07/2017 - UPDATE - Bonjour! Je m'appelle Paris. I am an older gal who is energetic and full of life. My wonderful foster dad says I defy my age. When it is bedtime and the other two pups are ready to settle down for the night, I am game for some more fun. Dad says I am up for play whenever. I really do have the best foster dad. I love him so much, and I show him that all the time by following him all over the place. I just LOVE to be with him. Dad says I am like Velcro. I honestly think he loves that I adore him so much. He says I whine a bit when he is out of my sight. Oh, speaking of my sight, I have to get eye drops every day, but I am good about it. I am really great with all people. I live with two other pups, and the one pup and I get along well together. The oldest pup and I sometimes have little issues over food or attention. We both want Dad's attention at the same time, so Dad has to be extra careful that we behave ourselves when we are together. Perhaps I would be better as the only dog so I can get all the attention all the time. Anyway, I am so eager to meet my family and show them what a sweet and loving girl I am. I am hoping that someday very soon I will be with my family. Merci beaucoup. Avec amour -Paris MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Paris. My owners no longer had time for me so they asked CSAC to help find me a new home. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Fosters that work with the CSAC. Adopted: ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 08/25/2017 - UPDATE - Hello, friends. Cherry here! I am at the kennel, and checking in with everyone to tell you all about me. I am REALLY hoping to find my new home and family. I want that so very much. I have great friends from the rescue who visit me and spend time with me which I just love. But that is not the same as having my own home and lots of love and attention. I am a young gal, and I know I need some training that I did not get when I was a puppy. Please think about making me a part of your family and seeing the wonderful girl I can be. I just need someone to work with me. I have learned the "sit" command recently and am working on others. I am a good student. I love my people, I really do. I give them lots of attention and love their attention. My best friend says I am a very sweet and she loves me. I need a bit of time to warm up, but that is okay. Every pup is different, you know. I may be a pup who would be best in a home without other pups. I love toys, and I would love for someone to teach me how to play ball. I know that I would really enjoy the exercise and the fun of playing with my people. My BFF says I will be the perfect companion for some lucky person or family out there. Please make my wish come true by asking CSAC about me so we can meet. I am trying really hard to be patient but I want my new family SO, SO much. Thank you very much for reading my letter. Sending you kisses -Cherry MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! FOSTER HOME NEEDED! ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 07/31/2017 - UPDATE - Wow, I have had a long recovery, and I am finally getting out of the vet hospital. My ears were tricky. They had gone so bad for so long, they took awhile to heal completely. My infections are finally GONE! My skin has cleared up, my ears are now mended, and I am ready for a new home! I want to run a lot, play a lot, eat a lot and get a lot of love. Are you ready? 07/5/2017 - UPDATE - Hi everyone. After a few tests on my skin, the vets found out that I do not have allergies, but I do have a very tough skin infection. They have started giving me shots of an antibiotic to try to get rid of it. Unfortunately, I still need to have ear ablation because the nasty bacteria on my skin destroyed my ears. Sigh. I am a great pup who needs a great new home who can help keep me healthy. I am great in the car, and I am great on a leash. I really don't know about kids though - maybe if they were older and would play with me. I should be the only prince at home. I am ok meeting other dogs but I don't want to live with any. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Theodore. My owner could no longer afford to take care of me and asked CSAC to help find me a new home. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I have a history of bad allergies. I need a home with someone who understand my special needs and can keep me healthy and happy. I will need an ear ablation because my ears are so bad. I love people. I have been around other dogs but have not lived with any for awhile. I am house trained. I do like my food and do not like to share. I have been to the vets A LOT for my allergies so sometimes I now get a little nervous at the vets. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. My CSAC friend says I am a really happy girl now that I have no pain. You know I am not a spring chicken, but my good friend says I truly don't act my age. I LOVE walks and exploring, and wow, when I see a squirrel I am a puppy again! Cats get me pretty excited, too. Guess I am young in spirit. Love and kisses - Missie 06/15/2017 - UPDATE - Great news! The most excellent veterinarian was able to remove the large mass in my ear WITHOUT having to remove any of my ear, and the biopsy came back benign. My healing is taking a little time because I was left with a large patch that needs to heal. I am waiting for my new family. How about you? MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Missie, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I had really nice owners who took very good care of me, but they had to go into care, and I could not go. I am 15 turning 16 in September. I really need a kind person to finish what my orginal owners started - give me a loving home and the medical care I need to finish out the rest of my days. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I have a mass in my ear that needs evaluated, and I am hoping for the best. Everyone says I am spunky for my age. ADOPTED! ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 06/25/2017 - UPDATE - Hello. I recently had something terrible happen to me. I was left by the side of a road in my crate. I was so very scared and hopeless. Then all my bad luck changed and CSAC rescued me.They saved my life. The vets took good care of me. I had to have surgery, but now am feeling really great. The next best thing to happen was when I got to meet my foster dad. My dad is so super and kind. I showered him with kisses when we met, and we both were so happy. When Dad took me to my foster home, I got to meet his two Cockers. One of them was very interested in me. Dad called it "amore." That pup was really smitten but, I got a little firm and let him know that I was not interested in a boyfriend. Now we are just pals, and all is well. The other pup is actually afraid of girls. How about that? But he stops being afraid if you mess with his food. So, I don't do that. We all do just fine. Dad said the other day that watching us is too much fun. Dad says I am very sweet and have lots of energy and spirit. I feel so fortunate to be with Dad and the boys. Dad really loves me and I love him. But I am also excited about finding my new home. I cannot wait to find a home like my foster home where I am safe, well cared for, and loved to bits! Please tell CSAC you want to meet the much loved little gal named Corey. Thanks for reading about me. Love and kisses - Corey MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Corey, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. My story is sad. I was found abandoned on the side of the rode in a crate left to die. I am very matted and I need shaved down. So far, the Vet is treating my eyes, my ears, and my teeth need cleaning. Everyone says that despite my medical conditions, I am a very sweet, energetic girl. I was groomed today, and I look and feel much better. I even had my toe nails painted! I loved it. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet and give my story a happy ending. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. My foster mom says I am healing nicely. I just wanted you to know that I am happy here, but I am still waiting patiently for my new family to come and meet me. Please ask CSAC more about me and hopefully we can meet soon. I cannot wait. Thanks so much. Kisses - Macy 06/29/2016 - UPDATE - I am here at my great foster home enjoying my new life. There are even cats here to hang with. They are just great. I am one of those pups who doesn't like other pups, but cats are just perfect for me. Life is good now. I love my four daily walks. I'm really happy to meet people when I am on my walks. Just love all those pets people give me. I do love my people and am not thrilled when they leave me alone. My foster grandmom keeps me company when Mom is at work. She is so wonderful to me. Guess we keep each other company! I love her. Other great things to let you know about is that I have never had an accident in the house. Never! The groomer says I am a very good girl and extra sweet. I love to sleep, too. I even sleep late because Mom likes to do that. I am quite obliging. ;) I can't wait to be someone's special girl. And remember, I love cats - and cheese - and my people! I know there is someone out there just waiting to meet me and take me home. Love and thanks - Macy 12/04/2015 - UPDATE - My skin is getting better. I only get one medicated bath a week now. They did find out I have a thyroid condition so I do get medicine for it. The Docs removed the tumor that was on my front shoulder. Unfortunately it was diagnosed as cancerous. The Doc thinks she removed it all! Like any cancer survivor, I will need monitored for any re-occurrences. I need a great foster or adopter who will keep me happy, healthy and active. Can you help? ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 06/15/2017 - UPDATE - My wonderful foster parents told me I should write back to everyone and fill them in on how I am doing. Mom says I am a sweet and loveable girl. I LOVE to get petted and get attention from my parents. I like to go up on the couch and sit with them until my foster pup siblings join me. Mommy thinks I am intimidated by the other pups. If I leave the couch I remain in sight...never know when the treats may come out. I am a sweet girl who Mom and Dad think should have a home where I am the only princess pup. I am actually fine around the other pups at dinner and treat time. I am never mean to the other dogs. It's just that I am not comfortable in the middle of the pack. I still like to hang under the table in my comfy bed where I can keep an eye on things. I have things I love other than attention. I LOVE my chews. I become so excited I do this cute little prance at the sight of my chew. Mom loves it. I also enjoy my walks and get really happy when it is time to go. I am a great sniffer and investigate everything around me. I don't miss a thing! I also like the adoption shows because I get so much attention. My life will be perfect in a home with my own people. If some family would grant this Princess her wish, I will be so grateful and elated. I promise my new family I will love them forever. Thanks for reading my letter. Love and kisses - Princess B. 09/04/2016 - UPDATE - Princess B here! I am checking in with you after my surgery. My ear is all healed now. I feel so much better, but I do have arthritis. My foster parents give me some good medicine to make me feel better. I am really a pampered gal in my home. I get special baths for my skin condition, and boy, does that make me feel nice. I smell good, too. I still like to hang out in my bed under the dining room table. But I do get curious about what is happening in my house, so I go into Dad's office to hang out with my foster siblings. Life is so much better, but I really want to find my real home. I know my home is out there somewhere. I really am a charmer, so please ask about me so we can meet. You will love me, and I will love you! Hugs and kisses - The Princess 01/27/2016 - UPDATE - Dear Friends - Hi and Happy New Year from your Princess B. I am doing well in my wonderful foster home, but a Princess still faces challenges in life. I found out I have a torn ACL and I need surgery to fix it. I also have problems with my right ear. I continue to be a timid girl, but I do enjoy lots of things like my chews. I am not much of a toy player, but I am a princess, you know! I like to hold court under the kitchen table and relax in my great comfy dog bed throne. My foster mom and dad think I should be the only pup in my forever home so that I can get all the attention that a princess needs. I do get easily intimidated by other dogs, I must admit. I really am eager to find my forever home where I will get oodles of love and affection and will continue to come out of my shell. So, all my friends, if you think you can give this princess the quiet home she so craves and a little TLC, please contact my CSAC friends. I am so eager to meet my new family and continue to blossom in the love of my new home. Thanks for checking on me! Love and kisses - Princess B. 11/10/2015 - UPDATE - After a pretty tough few weeks at the vet hospital, I am here at my foster home getting used to everyone and enjoying all the love. I even have an annoying little brother who is SUCH a pest, but we are getting accustomed to each other. I am a timid girl, but I do enjoy all the pets and love. It is so great to be with my foster family. I am learning to go outside using this neat doggie door that they have. Pretty clever for us pups. This princess is definitely a food lover No diets for me! I get so excited around dinner time. Guess what? My foster family had never heard me bark until we were in line at the drive-thru at Burger King. I barked at the cashier. I was trying to give her my order, but it did not work so well. My foster dad got a kick out of it though. Love to all, Princess B. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Princess B, and I just arrived at the CSAC from a shelter. Right now I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. A girl cannot catch a break - not only did I need cherry eye surgery; but I also had bladder stones that needed removed. Sigh, soon, hopefully, I will find my forever family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
