    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Cocker Spaniel / Mixed (long coat). DOB: 10/18/2012. She weighs 25-30 pounds. She likes to play with toys, learn new tricks with treat rewards, play with other dogs, hang out with humans. She is shy at first but once she gets to know you she can be very goofy. She likes to just hang out with her trusted humans. She enjoys going for slow walks and does okay with car rides but it is not her favorite activity. She is scared of small kids so small kids would not be a ideal situation for her. She would do best with a companion friend or a human that is home all the time as she doesn't like to be alone. Clara Barton...

    rescue
    Breed: Cocker Spaniel-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Cocker Spaniel / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 200.00. Clara Barton, a special name for a special pup. She’s a Cocker Spaniel, who is guessed to be about 5-7 years old. While she is a happy and beautiful girl, she has had an unimaginably hard past. Before getting into her sad story, you need to hear how wonderful this amazing dog is! She is affectionate and sweet, so grateful for her new beginning. She’s an easy-going gal who gets along with other dogs and cats as well! She currently lives with another dog and 2 kitty cats, who she has gotten along with from day 1. When she’s out for walks, she’s friendly towards other people and dogs she meets. This well-mannered girl is housebroken and does well in a crate, and loves to lounge on the couch with her human…eventually falling asleep and possibly snoring. So, how did Clara B come to be rescued by Dallas Pets Alive? She showed up as a stray at the Dallas shelter, and had clearly been dumped after years of neglect. First, she was found covered in matted fur – so much that 3 pounds of fur had to be shaved off. She also had a giant mammary tumor, pneumonia, anemia and a bad case of heartworm. Her fate seemed grim, but the amazing vet staff tended to her needs and was able to remove her softball-sized tumor. While Clara felt a million times better after having it removed, the mass was found to be an adenocarcinoma. This is a malignancy that has the chance of recurring or spreading. Clara B would need an extra special home to adopt her. She has a beautiful soul and is so easy to love, but would need a family willing to accept the responsibility of a possible recurrence of cancer. Clara’s future may be unknown, but her love and loyalty is certain. Once you meet her and see how special she is, you will fall in love. It takes a special person to take in dog like Clara B, and to give them a loving and comfortable home to live out the rest of their days in. If you want to be that special person, then apply to adopt Clara Barton today! Clara Barton is available for pre-adoption only at this time, as she is heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is a non-contagious and treatable condition in dogs, but is fatal if left untreated. For more information about the spread, treatment, and prevention of heartworms visit: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/dog-care/heartworm All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Chesterton

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Cocker Spaniel-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Cocker Spaniel / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 200.00. Meet the show-stopping Chesterton! He is a very loyal, five-year-old Cocker Spaniel with soft fur in stunning shades of black and white. He was rescued from the local shelter where he came in mostly blind, but is in a loving foster home waiting for the right family to come along! Chester strikes the perfect balance between energetic and lazy. He loves playing with a ball or a squeaky toy. He loves walks and time out in the yard, but is also happy when he gets to snuggle up with his humans. His tail is always wagging! He gets along with dogs and cats, but would not do well with kids because of issues with his vision. An ideal home for Chester would be one with parents who understand the financial commitment his eyesight issues will bring. He had to have his right eye removed due to severe glaucoma/blindness. His left eye is also vision impaired, though he can see shadows and possibly more. He does require special eye drops in his eye multiple times every day, so his new family will need to be willing to maintain his medical needs to his left eye (with medication, pressure checks, etc.). Over time, it is very likely that Chester will lose his vision completely. He would also do best in a quiet, low-key home where there are not a lot of noises to startle him. He's a very happy and loving dog, but because of his limited eyesight he tends to scare easily. Chester is a pro on a leash, and he loves walks! He is also crate trained and knows "no". He is one smart pup! He loves being outside, so someone willing to take walks or play fetch in the yard would be ideal! This sweet pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Chester today! Chesteron is available for pre-adoption only at this time as he is undergoing medical treatment on his eyes. Applications for pre-adopt can still be completed, and are processed in the order they are received. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Breed: Cocker Spaniel-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Terrier / Cocker Spaniel / Mixed (medium coat). A nice lady in Shiner, Tx. rescued Max because his owner was not able to care for him properly and he was always out of his yard, wandering the streets. Max came to Emmy’s Hope Rescue in December 2017. Max is very friendly. He likes big people and kids too. He is very curious about all the kitties at the rescue and is learning to respect them. It was reported that he liked to chase cats outdoors. However, he is fine with the indoor cats here at the Rescue. Max is making new dog friends at the rescue and plays well with both the small and medium sized dogs. Max had been an outside dog since he was a puppy, so now he is learning indoor manners and house training. Max has a loving, affectionate and gentle soul. Estimated birth date: January 2015 Approximate weight: 22 lbs. If you would like to meet Max, please call or text Stephanie at: 281-622-6549. *** ADOPTION CRITERIA *** YOU MUST: 1. Live in the Houston area (no more than an hour's drive away). 2. Be 21 years or older. 3. Have a fenced yard. 4. Have at least 2 years of good vet history, with current and / or past pets, including: annual Rabies and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza) vaccinations, annual heart worm test and using a monthly heartworm preventative.

The fastest way to win him over is to play ball with this sweetheart. He's been great with the other large dogs at the rescue. You can tell someone hasn't been very nice to him & he does not like to be spoken to in anger...but who does? He would do best in a quiet & loving household but one that will still be active with him. No young kids. If you would like to meet him he is in the Newport Beach area. Posted Breed: Cocker Spaniel / Mixed (medium coat). Please visit our website www.CampCocker.com before you click that inquiry button! Maggie was injured badly sometime around Thanksgiving. A Good Samaritan heard her cries from an alley and found Maggie dragging her rear legs behind her. She rushed for help and put Maggie in the hospital before reaching out to rescues for help. In the weeks that we have had this sweet little girl, she has had her MRI and Spinal surgery completed. Currently (1/16/18) she is on Doctors Ordered crate rest for her post-op but is good to go for short controlled walks in her wheelcart. So far just 3 weeks after her surgery - she has stood up on her own on all fours and tries to walk. She stumbles a bit but keeps trying. She really wants to run so badly! Watch her videos on our Facebook Page! https://www.facebook.com/CampCockerRescue With on-going physical therapy, underwater treadmill, and acupuncture we have no doubt this Tough Cookie will continue to improve. She is super sweet, super small, and pretty quiet. Oh and she doesn't take No for an answer! :) Foster or Permanent Home wanted in Los Angeles, CA so Maggie can continue to receive her PT and acupuncture.
