Dog's Name: Opie Estimated Breed : Corgi/Jack Russell mix Approximate Age: 1-2 yrs Approximate Weight: 26 lbs Currently Living at: BOARDING Adoption Fee: $300 DOG'S DESCRIPTION Opie is a sweet boy with fluffy wire hair. He gets along well with other dogs. He is friendly and affectionate. This nice little guy would love a home where can give and will get lots of love and attention. Opie is high energy. He would do best in a single family home. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
