$1,250Three female pups born 1/20. Ready for your home at 8 weeks old (3/17). DONNA is elegant simplicity & ready for the grand ball in all white with black ears & black “monocle eyepiece” marking around left eye. DESTINY (who is spoken for) is mysterious with her white body, black ears, spots & tail, + black “bandit mask” marking around her eyes. DELILAH is stylish & smart looking in her tuxedo-like coat, with a black/gray upper body, white belly, legs, collar, tail tip, + black ears, & noble forehead divided by a white strip down to her white muzzle. VERY DESIRABLE TRAITS- Cotons are very affectionate, sociable, sturdy dogs that adapt well to apartment/condo living thanks to their need for only a modest level of activity. Not only are they low maintenance and good with children and other pets, but they are also a non-shedding breed with hypo-allergenic hair (rather than fur). PARLEZ-VOUS FRANCIS? The name is pronounced "coe-TAWN-day-two-LEE-are" which means “Cotton of Tulear”. Tulear is the city in Madagascar where they are from. Although still rare in the US, and just officially recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2014, it is well known as the “Royal Dog of Madagascar” and is the Official Dog of the country. It is believed that the ancestors of the Coton de Tulear were brought to Madagascar on pirate ships in the 17th century. Nicknamed “Cotons”, they are immensely charming companion dogs with hair that feels as soft as cotton. APPEARANCE, TEMPERAMENT & TRAINING- The Coton is characterized by a natural long, cotton-like coat, rounded lively dark eyes, finely featured black lips, “joie de vivre” (joy of living) expressive smile, and a witty personality. Cotons are happy dogs that thrive on human companionship. With good socialization, they get along well with other dogs, cats and children.
