    Ava

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Dameranian
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pomeranian / Dachshund / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 400.00. Adoption: $400--------- Weight: 6 lbs.-------- DOB: 1/3/2017 ------- Health: No obvious issues found during vet exam -------- Temperament: Super sweet little girl with a great personality. Would make a good lap dog or walking partner once she learns to walk on a leash. She is easy to groom and easy to handle. She loves being near you for as long as she can. She gets along well with all the other dogs and meets no strangers. She seems to like everyone. She came to us with puppies but they all died before they reached four weeks old. Ava was just a baby herself... way too young to be having puppies. Ava may treat toys as her puppies sometimes until she finishes grieving for her own babies. This is normal. Even though we say she is not house trained, if you take her outside often enough, she tends to do very well without accidents inside. ------ Where did she come from: Hoarding situation - Negotiated Release. Hoarder had waaaay too many animals ------ Additional information: -- ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/adoption-application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. -- ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.--------

She and her puppies are in an experienced foster home and are used to the on going activity of a busy family lifestyle. They are active, playful, happy, social and healthy puppies ready to find their forever families. Posted Breed: Dachshund / Pomeranian / Mixed (short coat). ~~Rosie has been here a little over a year. She is very much a sweetheart with all people she meets. But as time has passed it is very clear she has a real problem with all dogs larger than her. Her first instinct is to attack them, and if around other large dogs, it could get her hurt. Additionally she hates cats and will chase if given the chance. She would definitely be best as the only pet. And would not be a good bet at a dog park, walking, anywhere she will come in contact with other dogs. She loves being inside, loves lounging on her pillows, likes to have her nylabones to chew on. Adopter has to have a very secure fenced in yard. She will check the fence for any places to escape. Rosie is part terrier and she chases (up and down inside the fence!!) all cars, kids on bikes and people walking by. And she barks a lot when outside. But she will stop if supervised and we have been working on both the chasing and barking. She will take a special home and a person willing to look past her bad habits, and see the loving girl she is.
