Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. Hi, my name is Izzy. I think it might be short for Isabel. My first owners had a larger dog that was mean to me so they gave me to BTRFL. At first, I lived with a foster family that had a bunch of other dogs and I got along well with them. I then went to stay with my current foster Mom a little while ago. She says that I'm really cute (I make piggy noises) and a good girl. There aren't any other pets in my house, but sometimes I stay with Mommy's friend who has three Boston Terriers. We have great fun together. Sometimes I like to do my own thing and sometimes I like to cuddle and have my ears rubbed. If you give me a treat, I give you a “High 5” with each paw! I love going for walks with my foster Mom. Sometimes I get into a little trouble though because I can be protective of her and bark at other dogs that are walking. If you are firm with me, I'll quiet back down. While I would like to have a yard to play in, it is not a deal breaker. I also really like playing with kids. My foster Mom lets me sleep in bed with her, but I'm also happy sleeping on my own bed. I have a favorite toy. It's a rabbit called "Flop Flop" that I like to gently chew on. While my time in foster care has been great, I'm really excited about finding a forever home for Flop Flop and myself. Are you the right one for us? Izzy Shannon is 8 years old and weighs 25 pounds. _____________________________________________________________________ Some of the dogs listed may not be cleared for adoption yet and many may be adopted prior to when you are approved and are next in line to work with the Adoption Coordinator. Please do not despair. We have new dogs coming into our Rescue all the time regardless of whether you see them posted here or not. If you are willing to be patient or if you are willing to adopt one of our older dogs, we suggest that you apply as soon as possible. The Adoption Coordinator works with the older applications first to find good matches with the dogs we have available at that time. Waiting to apply until you see a dog posted that you like usually ends with that dog being adopted by someone who submitted an application before you. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website to learn about our adoption process and to fill out an application. http://bostonrescueflorida.org/available-for-adoption/adoption-process/ Because we have Boston Terriers of all ages, we have a sliding scale for adoption fees generally ranging from $300 to $600 based on the age and health of the dog. In general the fees are: $600 - 9 wks to 23 months $550 - 2 yrs to 3 yrs $475 - 4 yrs to 5 yrs $400 - 6 yrs to 7 yrs $300 - 8 yrs to 9 yrs For dogs 10 yrs old and older, we just request a donation. Our fees cover vetting costs, shelter fees, fuel for transport while in the rescue, copying and printing of contracts and paperwork, our website presence, food, boarding, behavioral training and additional medical care. While the dog you adopt may not require all of these things, many other dogs in our system do. By adopting from Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida, you are not saving just one life, you are helping to save others as well.

Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. Hi! I'm Begley Woods. Unfortunately, my owner had some bad things happen and she can't take care of me any longer. While I miss her, I'm really enjoying my stay in my terrific foster home.I love to kisses and licks, and to burrow under blankets. I don't mind going into my crate but I can be very sneaky and escape if it's not secured properly. I love to take long walks and to go on car rides. I even like to take baths! While I have very good manners, other animals and I just don't get along. I also have some issues as a result of being exposed to domestic violence. I really need a strong leader who can take control of things so that I don't feel like I have to. I'm not too keen on guys right now because of my past experiences but I'am hoping that with some good behavioral training, I'll start being more trusting of men. I'm ready to find my forever home. Are you the one for me? Begley Woods is 5 years old and weighs 22 pounds and needs to be in a home without other animals or males. _____________________________________________________________________ Some of the dogs listed may not be cleared for adoption yet and many may be adopted prior to when you are approved and are next in line to work with the Adoption Coordinator. Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. Hi! My name is Moses. My foster mom says I'm a awesome boy and sometimes kind of goofy. I love, love, love to play. I will even toss my rope up and catch and shake it when your too tired to play. I also like my tummy and back rubbed. I know some tricks too. My best ones are sit and shake. I'm working on sitting up pretty, but sometimes I look more like I'm praying and I tend to tip over. I like to sleep with you but I will sleep in my own bed. I have to sleep there when my foster mom says I'm hogging the bed. My foster mom says I can snore pretty loud, but I've never heard it so I don't know if I believe her. I do snort and I love to go for walks. Unfortunately, I don't like other dogs and I feel that I need to guard my food. I also can play a little rough so I shouldn't be in a home with young children. Moses Jordan is almost 4 years old and currently weighs 38 pounds. _____________________________________________________________________ Some of the dogs listed may not be cleared for adoption yet and many may be adopted prior to when you are approved and are next in line to work with the Adoption Coordinator. Posted Breed: Boston Terrier. Hi there. I'm Rocco Elder. I am 14 years young and in great health. My Foster Mommy says that I am really well behaved. I don't even jump on the furniture or beg for food. I am waiting desperately to find my permanent home so that I don't have to keep moving around. Who wants to bring me home and give me the safety and security that I crave?
