If you would like to give O-May a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About O-May: (The name “O-May” means “black little girl” in Taiwanese) O-May is a beautiful girl with loving nature. She is playful, smart and aimed to please. O-May is very docile and friendly when meeting strangers. She maybe a little bit shy with strangers but warms up after few minutes then becomes a love bug. Under good care and structured training in foster home, O-May proved herself to be a sweet, loving dog. O-May is a smart pup that learned everything quickly. She has already mastered some basic commands and is potty trained. She is very well behaved around people, young kids, and is good with dogs and cats, either in public places or indoors. Her favorite game is wrestling and playing tug of wars with her dog pals at foster home. Please watch O-May’s videos so you know how much joy this girl can share with your family if she is given a chance. About O-May’s rescue: O-May was born to a stray mother; the stray family lived in a cemetery. We had been feeding the mother dog regularly for about a year. It is urgent to get the female dog spayed and stop her from producing more innocent homeless lives in the wilderness. However, we were not able to catch the mother dog until after she gave birth to four puppies. The mother dog has been faithfully nursing her puppies until they were four-weeks-old. Sadly, two of the puppies did not survive since they were too weak; O-May and her sibling stayed in vet hospital for two more weeks until they both received a clean bill of health. Now O-May is a perfectly healthy, this sweet puppy is ready for her own forever home. Please open your heart and welcome O-May to join your family and let her reward you with unconditional puppy love! Nira, Spayed female, 5-months-old, 22-lbs If you would like to give Nira a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina Nira is a super sweet and cuddly puppy with shiny black coat. She has a pair of beautiful sparkling eyes and the cutest pointy ears ever. She is an affectionate puppy but very stable and follows directions well; she gets along well with other dogs and cats too. She may be a little withdrawn when meeting strangers, but will warm up quickly! Please watch her videos to learn more about this cute little fur ball! About Nira’s rescue: As puppies, Nira and her siblings went through a great deal of suffering. But thanks to the relentless efforts of the rescuers, they all survived, and two to them already lived with loving families now. It all began during the spring raining season, the rescuer received a message with pictures of four puppies; they fell into a ditch and two had multiple wounds on their bodies. Immediately the rescuers set out to look for them. Due to bad weather and flooding, it took several tries of the rescuers to finally got hold of the puppies. All puppies were treated in the hospital and cared for. In the meantime the weather turned worse, the pouring rain caused severe flooding in many areas. Nira was one of the lucky puppies that were saved just in time! The original plan was to do TNR (trap/neuter/release) on those puppies. Over the period staying in the hospital, they became much attached to people that made it harder to release them to the wild. The rescuer did not have the heart to let them go considering weather still being cold and raining. They were placed with foster homes with good care and training. Now Nira is doing well in her foster homes. Nira will be a great companion for any type of family if she’s given a second chance! Phoebe, Spayed female, 10-months-old, 33-lbs If you would like to give Phoebe a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina Phoebe is your average puppy, cuddly and affectionate. She is the smallest in size among her siblings. She loves to hang out around people and play with children. She is a fast learner, she learned good sanitary habits in no time! Phoebe is very sociable; she plays well with other dogs and cats. Please watch her videos to learn more about this sweet little fur ball! Meet Phoebe! The rescuer was informed one night that a stray dog delivered five puppies in the vicinity of a factory where she worked. Even though the factory workers showed kindness toward the stray family and kept the mother dog well fed, but the factory owner was not happy about the intruders. He ordered that they be removed within two days or the animal control would be summoned. Before the rescuer was ready to take action, all five puppies were taken to the high-kill shelter, only the mother dog escaped. Knowing that the puppies would not survive without their mother at this young age, the rescuer pled for custody of the babies and managed to trap their mother in the meantime. Strong bonding between the mother and her babies finally overcome the fear; the mother dog came back looking for her kids. For the next two months the mother nursed her puppies until they were all strong and healthy and ready to be adopted. Phoebe is one of the five lively and healthy puppies. We’re looking for family that understands the responsibilities of raising a puppy. Please open your heart and welcome Phoebe to join your family and return you with her unconditional puppy love! Breed: Shiba Inu-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male

    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Shiba Inu / Mountain Dog / Mixed (short coat). Kobe, neutered male, 2 Years old, 37 Lbs. If you would like to give Kobe a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina General information Kobe is quite innocent and has a very straight forward way of thinking. He usually would not take initiative, but if a dog approaches him to play, he would play with it. Kobe loves food, and at feeding time he would clean the bowls of other dogs and finishes up every last scrape of food left, but he won't aggressively fight for food. He loves to stay clean, and won't relieve himself at home. He knows how to use wee wee pad, as well as doing his business outside the house. Kobe loves to stay close to his owner. When he is at a new environment he would test the owner's limit, but will be very obedient once boundaries are set. Because he was once abandoned by his owner, Kobe really craves for love. He would love for the owner's attention, and would pretend to be mad hoping to chase away other dogs. Yet he really is a sweetie and is not really mad at all, and if other dogs would not budge, he will stay close by and wait for a chance to get close to his owner. Rescue Story When Kobe was barely 2 months old, he was abandoned along with his sister on a cold winter day on the street. They were reported by the local residents and were sent to the dog pound. Because the pound did not have the best environment and had problem with contagious diseases going around, puppies would died one after another. When the volunteers saw Kobe and his sister, they worried that they would succumb to the illness also, so they got the pups out of the pound and put them in foster home, waiting for a happy ending. After some wait, Kobe finally got his own forever home and lived happily with his dad. Unfortunately, dad's company went bankrupt, and he had to leave Taiwan. Before he left, dad sent a message to our volunteer about where he left Kobe. She immediately went to fetch him and brought him home. Having lost his family, Kobe was depressed for a while and frequently hid in a corner not wanting to face anybody. Our volunteer spent some time working on him and managed to open him up again. Now Kobe is back to his playful, fun-loving handsome self. If you would like to give Yi-Lo a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Yi-Lo: Yi-Lo is a handsome young boy. We’re not sure of his mixed breeds; our best guess is there’s some Lab. and Shepherd’s genes in him, because he is mellow, playful and loyal. Yi-Lo has gentle disposition, he is friendly to adult people, children and dogs, except for cats. He walks well on a leash, understands cues like sit, lie down and wait, he behaves well while being groomed. He is afraid of loud noises such as fireworks or thunder. Yi-Lo’s rescue story: As a stray, he lived on food set out by volunteers for a while, he caught the volunteer’s attention for always waited patiently on the side for his turn to eat, never fight over food with other dogs. However, he would defend the volunteer if other strays tried to attack. One day, he rounded up in the animal shelter unexpectedly. The volunteer worried that Yi-Lo’s days would be limited in the shelter if not being adopted soon. So the volunteer took him in herself as his foster mom in April 2015, even though it causes a great strain on her financial means. Under loving foster care, Yi-Lo was checked up and treated by the vet, whilst received good training and proper socialization. Yi-Lo is a healthy boy; he was neutered, with up to date vaccinations and microchip. He is patiently waiting for his future forever home. About Donna’s rescue: The mission for the rescue team that day was to trap a female stray and have her neutered. However the female dog did not show up, then the rescue team was misled by GPS to a site nearby a factory. It turned out to be a joyful surprise that they found nine puppies, with their two mothers beside them. The workers at the factory had been feeding them kitchen scraps. Posted Breed: Miniature Pinscher / Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Hana, spayed female, 8 months old, 24 Lbs. General information Hana is a very smart dog. When she was only five months old, she already mastered many commands such as Come, Sit, Down, Stay, Shake, OK and Belly. She has impeccable hygiene practice, and would only do her job on diapers or outdoor. When she is alone at her foster home, she would neither make a fuss, bark, nor destroy furniture. The only thing she would chew on is her toy. When her foster parents are at home watching tv or eating a meal, she would quietly watch them or play with her own toys. When taking a walk, Hana can be very curious, but a gentle tuck on her leash or calling her name would bring her attention back to following her human. She is well socialized, and is close to both people and other dogs. She especially loves to run with people, and frequently jogs with her foster dad. She is more of a sprinter, and would tire after several rounds. Then she would follow her foster mom on her bike. Rescue Story Hana was found on a soccer field under a bridge when she was four months old. One day, a dog owner saw an emaciated Hana looking for food. He got some dog food and fed her, and found out that she was really friendly. He then started to feed her every day, and also posted on line to try to find her a home. It caught our attention and we decided to help her, because we think Hana deserves her own happiness. At this moment, Hana has a clean bill of health, received all the shots, and is healthy, friendly, and fun loving. All she needs now is a forever home.
