Bruyo is a playful and passionate young pup! He used to be a bit shy when meeting strangers, but he made big progress after attending adoption events a couple of times. Bruyo became very social and loves to snuggle with familiar faces. He always wears a big goofy smile on his face. He is also smart, definite a quick learner. All Bruyo needs now is a forever loving home, please give him a chance! Bruyo’a rescue story: On the way of routine stray dogs’ feeding route, the rescuer found 3 new adult dogs with 6 puppies walking toward her, tails wagging. They seemed very friendly toward humans, she wondered if they were newly abandoned. All the pups looked very hungry while looking for food in dumpsters. They soon swallowed all the food the rescuer provided. However, a week later, the rescuer noticed one male dog and 3 puppies went missing. She guessed something misfortunate might have happened to them because of the harsh condition on the streets; she had to rescue them before it was too late. She had the two female dogs spayed, and arranged the 3 puppies in foster families. Bruyo was one of the lucky puppies! She fits all types of families with or without kids. Please watch her videos to know more about this lovely girl! According to the foster Mom, Amia was found wandering alone in a remote cemetery area when she took the job working in the rice field during sowing season. Obviously, Amia is another abandoned puppy by heartless humans. The foster Mom did not have the heart to walk away from this friendly, mellow young pup. Late into her pregnancy, Virginia wandered into an underground parking garage of a building. Soon after her babies were born, the residence in that building notified animal control to take them away. When this news was overheard by a few volunteers, they managed to hide the mother and her newborns in the building; and posted their story on line asking for help the same time. On the day before the rescuer responded to their pleading, Virginia was injured by a car in the garage. Thanks to the relentless efforts of the rescue team, the whole stray family was moved to a safe place in time. Now the puppies were all adopted to overseas families, and Virginia’s wounded leg is fully recovered. Virginia turned out to be a lively and playful girl. If you would like to give Molly a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.comOR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Molly: Molly is a beautiful young pup, sweet, cuddly, and affectionate. She is easy-going, loves being around people and is aimed to please; she loves belly rubs. She is a smart puppy and learned everything quickly. She has already mastered some basic commands and is potty trained. She is very well behaved around people, young kids, and is good with dogs and cats, either in public place or indoor. She enjoys the companion of dogs in her foster home a lot. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with dogs in the park and her daily walks. Molly’s rescue story: Molly & Phoebe, the two stray dogs’ videos were posted on line by a lady hoping to find them home homes. The poor pups looked skinny and frail. Both dogs were sweet and close to people; it was suspected that they used to have owner but got abandoned. The posting lasted for a week but received no response; our volunteer decided to look for these two poor pups and help to find them homes. After a long 4-hours’ drive to the country side, our volunteer successfully found the two pups and placed them with foster homes. Under the loving care of the foster family, Molly’s weight was brought back to normal. She is very sociable and already knew quite a few commands, which confirmed our guess that she used to have an owner. She has a pair of beautiful sparkling eyes and the cutest pointy ears ever. She is an affectionate puppy but very stable and follows directions well; she gets along well with other dogs and cats too. She may be a little withdrawn when meeting strangers, but will warm up quickly! Please watch her videos to learn more about this cute little fur ball! About Nira’s rescue: As puppies, Nira and her siblings went through a great deal of suffering. But thanks to the relentless efforts of the rescuers, they all survived, and two to them already lived with loving families now. It all began during the spring raining season, the rescuer received a message with pictures of four puppies; they fell into a ditch and two had multiple wounds on their bodies. Immediately the rescuers set out to look for them. Due to bad weather and flooding, it took several tries of the rescuers to finally got hold of the puppies. All puppies were treated in the hospital and cared for. In the meantime the weather turned worse, the pouring rain caused severe flooding in many areas. Nira was one of the lucky puppies that were saved just in time! The original plan was to do TNR (trap/neuter/release) on those puppies. Over the period staying in the hospital, they became much attached to people that made it harder to release them to the wild. The rescuer did not have the heart to let them go considering weather still being cold and raining. They were placed with foster homes with good care and training. Now Nira is doing well in her foster homes. Nira will be a great companion for any type of family if she’s given a second chance! Dinah, Spayed female, 7-months-old, 28-lbs If you would like to give Dinah a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina Dinah is a beautiful brindle puppy! She is calm, mellow and friendly. She behaves well around people and mingles with dogs and cats easily. Dinah is a little shy, but not timid, when meeting strangers. She only needs little time to adapt to new environment and then she warms up and becomes affectionate to people. She is close to other dogs and is very friendly with cats too. Dinah has a loving heart, with love and persistent structured training, she will make a great companion for any type of family! Dinah, Delia and Denise are siblings born to a stray mother. Their mother is a good looking long-hair brindle mix, and the three sisters are cute short hair brindle pups. The stray family roaming nearby the farm field was noticed by a rescuer when the puppies were three months old. It was the season of spring planting. Knowing that if the puppies wandered into the field and trod on the young shoots, they have a high risk of being poisoned by the angry farmers, so the rescuer had to move them to a safe place. Having lived in the open farm land, the youngsters were shy and felt uncomfortable to be around people initially. But with patient work of their foster family, now no matter it is taking a walk by leash, or participating in an adoption fair, the three sisters can soon get used to the crowds of people and other dogs. It would only take a little while for them to feel relaxed and respond to people’s petting and attention. Dinah is the chubbiest one among her siblings. She is spayed, vaccinated and chipped and passed negative on her blood tests. Dinah is a great pup and deserves to live a happy healthy life! If you would like to give Yi-Lo a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Yi-Lo: Yi-Lo is a handsome young boy. We’re not sure of his mixed breeds; our best guess is there’s some Lab. and Shepherd’s genes in him, because he is mellow, playful and loyal. Yi-Lo has gentle disposition, he is friendly to adult people, children and dogs, except for cats. He walks well on a leash, understands cues like sit, lie down and wait, he behaves well while being groomed. He is afraid of loud noises such as fireworks or thunder. Yi-Lo’s rescue story: As a stray, he lived on food set out by volunteers for a while, he caught the volunteer’s attention for always waited patiently on the side for his turn to eat, never fight over food with other dogs. However, he would defend the volunteer if other strays tried to attack. One day, he rounded up in the animal shelter unexpectedly. The volunteer worried that Yi-Lo’s days would be limited in the shelter if not being adopted soon. So the volunteer took him in herself as his foster mom in April 2015, even though it causes a great strain on her financial means. Under loving foster care, Yi-Lo was checked up and treated by the vet, whilst received good training and proper socialization. Yi-Lo is a healthy boy; he was neutered, with up to date vaccinations and microchip. He is patiently waiting for his future forever home.
