Upton, Neutered male, 6-months-old, 24-lbs If you would like to give Upton a forever home, please contact Abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina If you’re looking for a companion and playmate, Upton is the one! He has a jolly nature, super playful and is aimed to please. He adores interacting with young kids, loves belly rubs and giving kisses. He’s a fast learner and very food motivated, already mastered basic commands and walks well on leash. He gets along with other dogs and is good with cats too. Please watch his videos to learn how much funs this boy can share with your family if he’s given a chance. Meet Upton! The rescuer was informed one night that a stray dog delivered five puppies in the vicinity of a factory where she worked. Even though the factory workers showed kindness toward the stray family and kept the mother dog well fed, but the factory owner was not happy about the intruders. He ordered that they be removed within two days or the animal control would be summoned. Before the rescuer was ready to take action, all five puppies were taken to the high-kill shelter, only the mother dog escaped. Knowing that the puppies would not survive without their mother at this young age, the rescuer pled for custody of the babies and managed to trap their mother in the meantime. Strong bonding between the mother and her babies finally overcome the fear, the mother dog came back looking for her kids. For the next two months the mother nursed her puppies until they were all strong and healthy and ready to be adopted. Upton is one of the five lively and healthy puppies! Upton is the most playful and loving pups among his siblings. We’re looking for a family that understands the responsibilities of raising a puppy. Champ, Neutered male, 8-months-old, 32-lbs If you would like to give Champ a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina Champ is a calm and sweet puppy. He has a pair of beautiful round eyes and shiny black color coat, looks like a prince among his peers! He’s happy to greet strangers but would also act with care. He may be a little nervous when he meets a stranger but as soon as he finds the person friendly, he will calm down and interact well right away. He enjoys car riding and always sits still without running around. As with any puppy, he needs exercise, discipline, and structure besides love and affection. With some basic training, Champ will make a great family companion dog! About Champ’s rescue: Champ and his siblings were found running around by the hilly suburb, with no sight of their mother. They were all very skinny; infested with fleas and skin infections. Thanks to the volunteers who arranged foster homes for them and have them treated by the vet. If you would like to give Pachi a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Pachi: Pachi is sweet and loving; he adores being petted. Pachi had a tough start in life. He used to be very skittish and reserved when we first met him. It took us a while to gradually bond with him, and then guided him to interact with humans, other dogs and even cats. Now he might shy away from strangers and children but still being friendly with them. Pachi enjoys being around people and adapts to new environments quickly. He walks in busy streets with confidence; he no longer has problem interacting with strangers, only a little shy though. He is watchful, will give short barks when strangers visiting our house, but will calm down when instructed to. He enjoys the companion of dogs in his foster home a lot. His favorite pastime is hanging out with dog pals in the park and his daily walks. He’s good with his foster family’s cats too. About Pachi’s rescue: A rescuer bailed Pachi out of animal shelter back in 2015. He was temporarily placed with a privately run no-kill shelter. Two years passed, Pachi did not get the chance to be adopted for being too skittish. The rescuer did not have the heart to let this sweet mellow young pup spent the rest of his life in the cage, so she placed Pachi with a foster home where he gets to be socialized more. Pachi’s foster family patiently waited three days for the poor scared pup to walk out of his crate. Soon Pachi opened his heart completely under loving care; he showed sweetness and total trust toward the foster family. Finally, he came out of his shell thru the lead of leash and a sweet dog that befriended him. Pachi quickly learned to appreciate the good feelings of cuddling and showing affection with foster family. She is calm, mellow and friendly by nature. She may be a little reserved when meeting strangers, but will turn playful and cuddly after warming up. She gets along very well with other doggie play mates, and stays calm around casts. Please watch Peggie’s videos to learn more about this loving pup. About Peggie’s rescue: I first met Peggie in the market place on a raining afternoon; she was scavenging for food from garbage. Peggie looked frail, extremely thin but with saggy breasts, obviously still nursing puppies. I fed her some food and left, but decided to come back soon to give her more help as much as I could. In a couple days, I found her again after several tries. She gobbled the food from me, and then ran away. According to the neighboring residents, Peggie recently gave birth to a litter, and she’s nursing the puppies nearby a construction site. I followed Peggie to her hidden place, there I spotted three cute puppies running and playing around their mother. Peggie was friendly, she let me pet her. I knew it’s urgent to take the stray family away from the site, or they will be caught into shelter soon. Peggie and her puppies are all doing well in their foster home; they’re healthy, with up to date vaccinations, rabies and microchip. Peggie is a docile, loving and playful big girl! Uta, Neutered male, 1 year 9 months old, 26-lbs If you would like to give Uta a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina Uta has a mild temperament; he’s friendly, patient with children, and makes friends easily with other dogs and cats. He likes to stay close to people, but won’t fuss if left alone in the house, and is good riding in the car. He tends to be a little shy in unfamiliar environment. He is a full grown, weighs about 26 lbs. We’re not sure of his mixed breeds, probably with genes of miniature Pincher that contributed to his compact built. He is very affectionate and cuddly, would make a great family companion! Uta was a stray roaming along by the beach. He used to follow the beach goers around and was mistaken by the rescuer that he had an owner. But then on a few occasions he was seen drinking out of the sand hole dug by kids; what’s even worse, he was oftened bullied by other strays. The rescuer decided to take action and get him out of the misery. When he was first checked out by the vet, workers sadly noticed a large portion of sands mixed in his discharge. She was able to master basic commands and house rules in very short time. She is a little shy when meeting strangers but likes to be around people. At her foster home, she wins everyone’s heart! About Anina’s rescue: One day when the rescuer rode bike passing by a gravesite on the country road, she sighted two puppies. Followed them into the deep grass, there were five more puppies hiding. She is mellow, intelligent, and sweet-tempered; she’s always smiling and loves to cuddle. She is an absolute sweetheart, anyone can pet her, even a stranger. She is very obedient, well behaved, with no chewing or barking issues. Having been through an abusive past, she never lost her trust in human; she still holds a positive attitude toward her future. Shana certainly deserves to have a wonderful home. Shana’s rescue story: Shana is very sweet and close people, so we’d assume that she used to have an owner but got abandoned . It’s hard to imagine what horrible plight this young pup had been through before we found her. When Shana was rescued from the street, she was in despair condition: not only she lost her paw on one of her hind leg, she also had severe burn marks on her back. In the meantime, she’s nursing six puppies. Shana being a loving mom, still tried her best to nurture her puppies. We decided to take Shana and her youngsters out of the hardship and settle them with foster care. We also made Shana a boot for her injured paw, so she can walk and run just like any normal dog. All her puppies were adopted out; now sweet Shana, with a limping leg, is waiting patiently for a forever home of her own.
