    Creamy

    Breed: Akita-Labrador Retriever Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Akita / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Creamy, Spayed female, 4.5 months old, 27-Lbs. If you would like to give Creamy a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Creamy: Creamy is a beautiful puppy with great temperament. She’s sweet, docile, and very friendly to humans, dogs, and cats. We’re not sure of her mixed breeds, but she certainly has the look and good traits of a Lab. and Akita for being gentle, intelligent, faithful and affectionate. She is doing very well in foster home, under loving care and structured training. She is a quick learner, already mastered basic commands and is fully potty trained. She is obedient by nature, likes to play with dogs, cats, or chew toys. She is well behaved inside the house, with no chewing or barking issues. Creamy will make a wonderful family pet, as she gets along with anyone and anything! Creamy’s rescue story: At only a couple months old, little Creamy was found near a very busy road in the mountain area where people usually drive really fast. She looked really nervous and wandered around aimlessly. We stopped the car and feed her. In a few minutes, she already finished a can of dog food and some beef jerky. It looked like she hasn't eaten anything for a long time. We asked the workers of gravel mining nearby if anyone might be looking for this poor little thing. We were told that the pup just showed up in last 3 days. It was assumed that someone abandoned her on purpose. We have no choice but to bring her to our vet and settle her with foster home, since the weather in the mountain is very cold and hard for such young pup to find food. Now Creamy is a healthy and playful puppy, she is waiting for her turn to join her own forever home. Please give Creamy a loving home and a chance to grow up safe and happy! Kobe

    rescue
    Breed: Shiba Inu-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Shiba Inu / Mountain Dog / Mixed (short coat). Kobe, neutered male, 2 Years old, 37 Lbs. If you would like to give Kobe a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina General information Kobe is quite innocent and has a very straight forward way of thinking. He usually would not take initiative, but if a dog approaches him to play, he would play with it. Kobe loves food, and at feeding time he would clean the bowls of other dogs and finishes up every last scrape of food left, but he won't aggressively fight for food. He loves to stay clean, and won't relieve himself at home. He knows how to use wee wee pad, as well as doing his business outside the house. Kobe loves to stay close to his owner. When he is at a new environment he would test the owner's limit, but will be very obedient once boundaries are set. Because he was once abandoned by his owner, Kobe really craves for love. He would love for the owner's attention, and would pretend to be mad hoping to chase away other dogs. Yet he really is a sweetie and is not really mad at all, and if other dogs would not budge, he will stay close by and wait for a chance to get close to his owner. Rescue Story When Kobe was barely 2 months old, he was abandoned along with his sister on a cold winter day on the street. They were reported by the local residents and were sent to the dog pound. Because the pound did not have the best environment and had problem with contagious diseases going around, puppies would died one after another. When the volunteers saw Kobe and his sister, they worried that they would succumb to the illness also, so they got the pups out of the pound and put them in foster home, waiting for a happy ending. After some wait, Kobe finally got his own forever home and lived happily with his dad. Unfortunately, dad's company went bankrupt, and he had to leave Taiwan. Before he left, dad sent a message to our volunteer about where he left Kobe. She immediately went to fetch him and brought him home. Having lost his family, Kobe was depressed for a while and frequently hid in a corner not wanting to face anybody. Our volunteer spent some time working on him and managed to open him up again. Now Kobe is back to his playful, fun-loving handsome self. Posted Breed: Shiba Inu / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Agnes, Spayed female, 5 months old, 24-Lbs. If you would like to give Agnes a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Agnes: Agnes is a beautiful girl with a loving nature. She is playful, smart and aimed to please. Agnes has made a dramatic change shortly after we bailed her out from the shelter. She used to be very skittish and reserved; she bonded with the foster parents immediately, only took one week to befriend with the kids. She was placed with different fosters to live with cats, dogs, men and kids. Under loving care and structured training, Agnes proved herself to be a sweet, loving dog. Now she’s become the best playmate of the little girl at foster home. Agnes was skittish and easily got scared outdoors in the beginning, but soon came out of her shell thru the lead of leash and an outgoing puppy, Eason (who is also waiting for home), that befriended her. Agnes gradually learned to appreciate the good feelings of cuddling and showing affection with humans. She becomes very sociable and is comfortable around strangers. She enjoys the companion of dogs in her foster home too. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with dog pals in dog park and her daily walks. Agnes will make a great companion pet; she’s well behaved in the house with no chewing or barking issues, and is potty trained. Please watch Agnes’ videos so you know how much joy this girl can share with your family if she is given a chance. Agnes’s rescue story: Agnes is one of the luckiest puppies in the world, who is destined to have a home to call her own. She was not in our list to bail from the animal shelter. However, she was picked by the shelter and sent to us instead of the other chosen dog by error. We do not have the heart to return this innocent sweet pup back to the shelter, Agnes’ fate was turned around because of this beautiful mistake. This sweet girl deserves a great home where she can share her unconditional puppy love with! Please watch Agnes’s YouTube videos below: Agnes - in foster home & public place http://youtu.be/L35TlrdHygk Agnes’s album http://youtu.be/h2Lru-PLdyA Agnes shows affectionate toward little girl (foster family) after 2 weeks. http://youtu.be/av6PDRP8j9Q Temperaments: - SOCIALIZATION - Social inclination: Submissive People/Children-friendly: Yes Gets along with cats: Yes Gets along with outside dogs: Yes - ANXIETY - Skittish: No Fear of men: No Barks when unattended: No Chews things up when unattended: No - AGGRESSION - Biting incidents: No Food aggression with dogs: No Food aggression with humans: No - DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES - Energy level: Medium House trained: Yes Leash-trained: Good on leash Commands learned: No Adapts in new environments? couple days Dog gets to go out with foster family in a day: 3-times a day Good in car: Yes

If you would like to give Yi-Lo a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Yi-Lo: Yi-Lo is a handsome young boy. We’re not sure of his mixed breeds; our best guess is there’s some Lab. and Shepherd’s genes in him, because he is mellow, playful and loyal. Yi-Lo has gentle disposition, he is friendly to adult people, children and dogs, except for cats. He walks well on a leash, understands cues like sit, lie down and wait, he behaves well while being groomed. He is afraid of loud noises such as fireworks or thunder. Yi-Lo’s rescue story: As a stray, he lived on food set out by volunteers for a while, he caught the volunteer’s attention for always waited patiently on the side for his turn to eat, never fight over food with other dogs. However, he would defend the volunteer if other strays tried to attack. One day, he rounded up in the animal shelter unexpectedly. The volunteer worried that Yi-Lo’s days would be limited in the shelter if not being adopted soon. So the volunteer took him in herself as his foster mom in April 2015, even though it causes a great strain on her financial means. Under loving foster care, Yi-Lo was checked up and treated by the vet, whilst received good training and proper socialization. Yi-Lo is a healthy boy; he was neutered, with up to date vaccinations and microchip. He is patiently waiting for his future forever home. If you would like to give Polly a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Polly: Polly is a beautiful young pup with great temperament. Under the loving care in foster home, Polly has transformed from being skittish and reserved into lively and cuddly. Now she is sweet, loving, and adores being petted. She’s also very sociable and comfortable around strangers and new environments. She walks in busy streets with confidence, and no longer has problem interacting with strangers. She is watchful though, will give short barks when strangers visiting our house, but will calm down and greet when she does not feel intimidated. She enjoys the companion of dogs in her foster home a lot. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with play pals in dog park and the daily walks. She’s good with the foster family’s cats too, but may chase after them like the way she plays with dogs. She is friendly with male and children, but not enjoying be petted by them. Please watch her videos to learn how much love and joy this young pup can bring to your family if you’re willing to give her a second chance in life. About Polly’s rescue: Polly and her sister Ruru were spotted as we drove by a hilly area in the suburb; they were about 5-m-old then. The poor pups were in poor shape; both skin and bones, dehydrated and extremely frail. We decided to come back for them the next day, since we had to rush to the vet for another dog who needed emergency care. Luckily, we found them the next day; they were taken to the vet for intensive care. Both pups suffered different injuries most likely from having being hit by car. Polly’s left forelimb was crooked, it’s caused by a broken joint (Carpal joint) which was left untreated for too long and therefore can no longer be straightened by operation, according to the vet. She will stay in ballet’s first position for the rest of her life. However, Polly’s mobility is not affected at all. To manage her weight and maintain proper exercise, plus regular intake of Glucosamine is advisable. Polly is currently under loving care in her foster home. Months passed, sweet Polly is still patiently waiting for her turn to join a family who will treasure her regardless of her deformed forelimb. Please watch his videos to learn how much funs this boy can share with your family if he’s given a chance. Meet Upton! The rescuer was informed one night that a stray dog delivered five puppies in the vicinity of a factory where she worked. Even though the factory workers showed kindness toward the stray family and kept the mother dog well fed, but the factory owner was not happy about the intruders. He ordered that they be removed within two days or the animal control would be summoned. Before the rescuer was ready to take action, all five puppies were taken to the high-kill shelter, only the mother dog escaped. Knowing that the puppies would not survive without their mother at this young age, the rescuer pled for custody of the babies and managed to trap their mother in the meantime. Strong bonding between the mother and her babies finally overcome the fear, the mother dog came back looking for her kids. For the next two months the mother nursed her puppies until they were all strong and healthy and ready to be adopted. Upton is one of the five lively and healthy puppies! She behaves well around people and is gentle with children. She gets along with dogs and stays calm around cats. Anina is a docile, warm, and friendly dog. Anina is smart, with gentle temperament. She was able to master basic commands and house rules in very short time. She is a little shy when meeting strangers but likes to be around people. At her foster home, she wins everyone’s heart! About Anina’s rescue: One day when the rescuer rode bike passing by a gravesite on the country road, she sighted two puppies. Followed them into the deep grass, there were five more puppies hiding. She started to bring them food from time to time. When the time comes to neuter them, she found out that one puppy was tragically poisoned to death. The rescuer had the whole litter fixed. Their ears were cut as a TNR (trap/neuter/release) mark before returning them to the field. However, considering the place was no longer safe for these friendly young puppies to grow up, the rescuer decided to take them off the wilderness and placed them with foster families. Freya has such a gentle nature, she would make a great companion for any loving family! About Freya’s rescue: Little Freya, only around one month old, wound up in the high-kill shelter. After reading a post on FB with Freya’s picture on it, the rescuer couldn’t help but to check her out and later on find a family to adopt her. On her return visit, the rescuer was disappointed to see that Freya was locked up inside the room all the time, with no contact of people, other dogs and the outside world at all. She knew that she had to find a better home for Freya. Freya was placed with a nice foster home. Under the loving care in her foster family, Freya was trained and taught proper manner. Now Freya grows into a gorgeous young lady, healthy and much happier! She has shiny coat with a white spot on her chest, and a pair of cute-looking ears. Freya is ready for adoption. All she needs is a loving forever home. Will you open your heart and welcome her to become one of your family members?
