We’re not sure of her mixed breeds, she has the pleasant traits of a Lab. and the slim built of a Greyhound. She is a typical playful young puppy, full of curiosity. She’s not shy or afraid of strangers, she can easily befriend with anyone given some yummy treats. Beside her beautiful upright ears, Bomie has a sleek coat and slim built which makes her stands out among peers. She loves to cuddle and give kisses; she would only go potty when taken outside. She can be a bit shy when introduced to new environment, but can adjust really fast and becomes a most active and lively member of the family. About Bomie’s rescue: Bomie used to wander alone one the streets, scavenging for food in garbage cans near by markets. She was often shooed away and went hungry. Nina, Spayed female, 5-months-old, 18-lbs If you would like to give Nina a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina Nina is a super friendly and affectionate girl, always approaching people with a big smile and non-stop wagging tail, even to strangers. She is lively and passionate, quick to learn, loves to be around people, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Please watch her videos to learn how much joy this sweet girl can bring to your family if she’s given a second chance. Life has not been kind to Nina since she’s a baby. A few months ago, Nina was seen with her mother wandering around the park. Not knowing why, the mother dog disappeared one day and left Nina all alone; she was only about two months old then. Nina wandered in the park looking for her mother, hungry, cold, and filthy; her wailing attracted the attention of a young student passing by. The young student petted Nina trying to comfort her, and Nina started to follow her home. Nina was not welcome by the parents of the student, to return the puppy back to park was their final verdict. Upset about not able to keep Nina, the crying girl bumped into her teacher early next morning on her way to school. Thankfully, the warm hearted teacher praised the girl for her kindness toward animals, and helped to arrange foster family for this friendly puppy. Nina did not disappoint the people who has helped her. She soon fit into the life in her foster home. Nina is doing very well in her foster home. She is spayed, with up to date vaccinations, and microchip. We are looking for a family that understands the responsibilities of raising a puppy. She was able to master basic commands and house rules in very short time. She is a little shy when meeting strangers but likes to be around people. At her foster home, she wins everyone’s heart! About Anina’s rescue: One day when the rescuer rode bike passing by a gravesite on the country road, she sighted two puppies. Followed them into the deep grass, there were five more puppies hiding. She started to bring them food from time to time. When the time comes to neuter them, she found out that one puppy was tragically poisoned to death. The rescuer had the whole litter fixed. If you would like to give Polly a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Polly: Polly is a beautiful young pup with great temperament. Under the loving care in foster home, Polly has transformed from being skittish and reserved into lively and cuddly. Now she is sweet, loving, and adores being petted. She’s also very sociable and comfortable around strangers and new environments. She walks in busy streets with confidence, and no longer has problem interacting with strangers. She is watchful though, will give short barks when strangers visiting our house, but will calm down and greet when she does not feel intimidated. She enjoys the companion of dogs in her foster home a lot. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with play pals in dog park and the daily walks. She’s good with the foster family’s cats too, but may chase after them like the way she plays with dogs. She is friendly with male and children, but not enjoying be petted by them. Please watch her videos to learn how much love and joy this young pup can bring to your family if you’re willing to give her a second chance in life. About Polly’s rescue: Polly and her sister Ruru were spotted as we drove by a hilly area in the suburb; they were about 5-m-old then. The poor pups were in poor shape; both skin and bones, dehydrated and extremely frail. We decided to come back for them the next day, since we had to rush to the vet for another dog who needed emergency care. Luckily, we found them the next day; they were taken to the vet for intensive care. Both pups suffered different injuries most likely from having being hit by car. Polly’s left forelimb was crooked, it’s caused by a broken joint which was left untreated for too long and therefore can no longer be straightened by operation, according to the vet. She will stay in ballet’s first position for the rest of her life. However, Polly’s mobility is not affected at all. To manage her weight and maintain proper exercise, plus regular intake of Glucosamine is advisable. Polly is currently under loving care in her foster home. Months passed, sweet Polly is still patiently waiting for her turn to join a family who will treasure her regardless of her deformed forelimb. If you would like to give Yi-Lo a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR call 650-580-3639 Tina About Yi-Lo: Yi-Lo is a handsome young boy. We’re not sure of his mixed breeds; our best guess is there’s some Lab. and Shepherd’s genes in him, because he is mellow, playful and loyal. Yi-Lo has gentle disposition, he is friendly to adult people, children and dogs, except for cats. He walks well on a leash, understands cues like sit, lie down and wait, he behaves well while being groomed. He is afraid of loud noises such as fireworks or thunder. Yi-Lo’s rescue story: As a stray, he lived on food set out by volunteers for a while, he caught the volunteer’s attention for always waited patiently on the side for his turn to eat, never fight over food with other dogs. However, he would defend the volunteer if other strays tried to attack. One day, he rounded up in the animal shelter unexpectedly. The volunteer worried that Yi-Lo’s days would be limited in the shelter if not being adopted soon. So the volunteer took him in herself as his foster mom in April 2015, even though it causes a great strain on her financial means. Under loving foster care, Yi-Lo was checked up and treated by the vet, whilst received good training and proper socialization. Yi-Lo is a healthy boy; he was neutered, with up to date vaccinations and microchip. He is patiently waiting for his future forever home. She is mellow, intelligent, and sweet-tempered; she’s always smiling and loves to cuddle. She is an absolute sweetheart, anyone can pet her, even a stranger. She is very obedient, well behaved, with no chewing or barking issues. Having been through an abusive past, she never lost her trust in human; she still holds a positive attitude toward her future. Shana certainly deserves to have a wonderful home. Shana’s rescue story: Shana is very sweet and close people, so we’d assume that she used to have an owner but got abandoned . It’s hard to imagine what horrible plight this young pup had been through before we found her. When Shana was rescued from the street, she was in despair condition: not only she lost her paw on one of her hind leg, she also had severe burn marks on her back. In the meantime, she’s nursing six puppies. Shana being a loving mom, still tried her best to nurture her puppies.
