    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Baby
    Location: Memphis, TN
Posted Breed: Hound / Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Lucy and her siblings were born in the backyard of a Memphis home. We know who mama is, but not daddy! We agreed to help find Lucy and her littermates homes so they do not have to go to our high kill shelter. Yes, we also helped the owner get mama fixed so this doesn't happen again. :) Lucy is about the cutest little black puppy you have ever seen. She is mostly black, but she has the tiniest bit of of white on her face and feet. She currently weighs 7 lbs at approximately 10 weeks old. We think she will probably grow into a medium sized dog, though we can not guarantee this. Lucy has been vaccinated and is healthy. We are just waiting on her 12 week birthday so she can be altered. She will be ready for adoption around the first week of April. Please email us for an application! allheartanimalrescue@gmail.com Lucy is being fostered in Memphis TN *Please note these are rescued puppies and we don't know exactly what breed they are or how large they will grow. Contact us at allheartanimalrescue.org for an application or if you have questions about an animal. Please take the time to review our adoption policies before applying for a pet. We try to make the process as quick and easy as possible, but we also need to ensure we find the right home for each of our pets. Rehoming can be stressful for them, and we want to make sure we get it right the first time!:) Please note we can not guarantee the breed or or age of pet is 100% accurate. Many of the pets in are rescue are pulled from shelters and usually will not know the parents of the dog or cat. Most are are mixed with two or more breeds, and we will make the best selection we can based on shelter information, personal observation, and vet input. The animal must be spay/neutered prior to going to his/her new home. All other animals in the home must also be spayed/neutered. Adopter should agree to continue any specific medical care need for a particular pet, along with routine annual visits. If adopter has other pets, all pets in the home should be up to date on vaccinations, monthly heartworm prevention, and should be spayed/neutered, unless there is a valid medical reason. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. All members of the household must agree they want the pet. A pet is a family member and so all members of the family need to be in agreement about when to adopt a pet, and which pet to adopt. Anyone renting or leasing must have written permission from their landlord, and will also be contacted by phone by a representative for AHAR before an adoption can be approved. Any restrictions regarding type or size of animal must be noted. We prefer that applicants have lived at their current address for at least three months. This is to make sure that owners have had time to settle into their new surroundings, and have established a stable routine before bringing a pet into the home. Because pets have extremely sensitive noses, any remodeling projects that involve chemicals and paint - including the installation of carpet - should have been completed well in advance of bringing a new pet home. Please remember that any time of transition is probably not a good time to adopt a pet. We do not adopt out "outdoor pets." Pets that are left outside to do not bond as readily with their owners and are prone to nuisance behaviors like barking, escaping, roaming, digging, predatory behavior and other destruction. If applicants currently have an "outdoor pet" their adoption may be denied. We do not adopt out pets for the sole purpose of “guarding” or personal safety. Applicants for dog adoptions must have a yard that is fenced on all sides, or adopter must agree to walk/exercise dog for a MINIMUM of two times daily, or more as dog requires. Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height. Adopter must have excellent vet reference (if a prior pet owner) and a minimum of one personal reference. Adopters should demonstrate a willingness and ability to meet the social, training, health and exercise requirements of their desired pet. We will not allow “surprise” or gift adoptions. We reserve the right to decline applications if the pet’s needs to not coincide with the lifestyle of the family or individual, or if the adoption is not demonstrated to be in the best interest of the pet or family for any reason.

Posted Breed: Chow Chow / Border Collie / Mixed (long coat). Meet Baloo! Baloo is an 11 month old sweet little bear. :) He was surrendered to Memphis Animal Services by his family, who left a note saying Baloo is good with other dogs and with kids. We have found this to be true- he is a happy boy who is good with just about anyone! Baloo is a young dog and would love to have a backyard to play in and an active family to have fun with. He is high energy and loves to play and be outside. He will definitely need a fenced in backyard. Baloo can wiggle out of/chew through a leash, so will need someone who will have some patience with his leash training. After we saw how scared she was, we just could not leave her there! She has turned out to be the sweetest girl. Hazel is a slightly older lady, which makes her pretty easy to have around the house. She mostly naps and eats and naps again. :) She is good with everyone- she lives with other dogs and just ignores them. As long as she has a bed to lay on, she is good! Hazel is healthy despite her age. She does have a little arthritis which is easy to manage. She is heart worm negative, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed (short coat). *THOSE EARS* Unique Fun Dog *THOSE EARS!!* Tillman is a fun loving unique boy looking for his forever home! Tillman was found hanging out near a police station in Memphis, TN. The police did not want to call animal control, because he would have been taken to our high kill municipal shelter. So, the nice policemen reached out to rescue to find him a new forever home and we were glad to help! Tillman's breed(s) are definitely a mystery! Could he be a feist, shepherd, kelpie, terrier.... we don't really know! We do believe he has some herding breed in him, so he would do great in a home with some land where he has a job, could practice agility, or be taught new tricks. He would be good at alerting you to strangers near your home. We do know he is a good dog and is anxious to please. He is eager to learn and already knows "sit" and "lay down." We are still working on teaching him not to jump. For this reason, we think he would do best in a home without very small kids- we don't want them to get knocked down! If you would like more info on Tillman, please email us at allheartanimalrescue@gmail.com. He is being fostered in Memphis, TN. His adopt fee is $100. Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Setter / Mixed (short coat). Meet Bo! Bo and his siblings were abandoned at a vet's office by their original family. Bo is now healthy, neutered, microchipped, and ready to find his perfect home! Bo has a gorgeous sleek black coat and cute white markings. He is very athletic, but is also happy to sit on the couch and watch tv. He is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash. Bo needs to be an "only baby" as he does not like to compete with other dogs and cats for your attention. He has zero aggression with people, and will make a wonderful companion for someone who does not have other pets. Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier (short coat). Faith should be an agility dog! She loves to run and romp with all dogs big or small, if there is swimming and fetching to be had she is even more happy! Faith is housebroken, crate trained and has shown no signs of being destructive. Faith is great on lead will walk right beside you, she is only 1 y/o per the veterinarian and is ready to go kayaking. Faith per our veterinarian is a border collie/Labrador retriever mix. Whatever breed she is a super sweet and fun dog. Her foster Mom is trying to teach her to catch a Frisbee, she loves the agility exercises at the dog park, Faith is treat motivated and listens attentively for her age. She could be trained to do anything! Faith was rescued from Memphis Animal Services at the last hour from being euthanized, we are so happy we found a foster home and were blessed to get her to safety. Now Faith needs a forever home. All of our rescues are temperament tested around children of all ages, small and large dogs and cats. They all have basic training, IE; sit; down, come and walking on a lead. We are not a shelter, we are a rescue and all of our rescued dogs are kept in individual foster/volunteers homes. This gives them sometimes their first taste of having a family and being part of that family. Also, it provides us with the understanding of each individual rescue to match them to your family lifestyle and dynamics. As soon as we receive your application back, we will phone you to set up a home visit/meet & greet. If you are out of our area, we would request another rescue and/or veterinary office complete the home visit. All of our rescues are completely vetted prior to adoption. Also, completed prior to adoptions are heartworm treatments as needed, any medical conditions treated (IE; allergies, demedex, etc.) and any surgeries for dogs coming into the rescue injured (IE; car accidents, etc.). Below is the vetting that all of our rescues receive prior to adoption. We only pull dogs from shelters and approximately 80% of our rescues come into the rescue heartworm positive. Those rescues are treated for heartworms prior to adoption. Vetting; adults; 1~7/1's DA2PPvL Booster 7/1 30 days after arriving DA2PPvL puppies; 3~7/1's DA2PPvL Booster 7/1 @ 6 months DA2PPvL adults & puppies; bordetello vaccine rabies vaccine & tag microchip & tag Pyrantel (twice) heartworm tested @ 6 months or older fecal tested Spayed/Neutered Heartworm Preventative (every month they are in rescue) Flea preventative (every month they are in rescue) New collar & tags 4Health Grain Free White fish & Potato We do complete home visits prior to being approved. They are not designed to turn adopters down, but to point out safety issues for this breed. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Posted Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (short coat). Spirit is just a sweet loving medium sized dog approximately 18-24 months old. She is housebroken, crate trained, non-destructive and loves peanut butter treats. She is great with all dogs big or small, children and adults. We have temperament tested her with cats and she did not lunge or react aggressively, but she would probably need additional training to not chaise a cat. Spirit was rescued from a backyard breeder/hoarding situation and the owners were court ordered to relinquish the dogs. Eight all together. Hogan’s took Spice, Spirit & Duchess and helped a get the other five into other rescues. Spice loves being in a home and really appreciates being with her peeps and fosters siblings. She is a super smart dog and just wants her forever family. Spirit is learning very quickly how to be an inside dog, she has shown no signs of destruction, lets her foster family know when she needs to go outside to do her business and loves romping with her foster siblings a Husky and a Bull Terrier. Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Rhodesian Ridgeback / Mixed (short coat). Duchess is a sweet very laid back dog that just goes with the flow. She is housebroken, non-destructive and happy to be inside on a dog bed. She is great with other dogs big or small, non-reactive to cats, super sweet with children and adults. Duchess is shy at first, but warms up very quickly. She loves treats and is very receptive to training. She deserves her own forever home. Duchess was rescued from a backyard breeder/hoarding situation and the owners were court ordered to relinquish the dogs. Eight all together. Hogan’s took Spice, Spirit & Duchess and helped a get the other five into other rescues. Spice loves being in a home and really appreciates being with her peeps and fosters siblings. She is a super smart dog and just wants her forever family. Duchess is learning very quickly how to be an inside dog, she has shown no signs of destruction, lets her foster family know when she needs to go outside to do her business and loves being with her foster family.
