    Nikko

    rescue
    Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Nikko is a female Staffordshire terrier mix about 8 years old. She is good with children and people. She prefers to be with calm well behaved dogs her size or smaller. Nikko is house broken, crate trained and rides well in a car (she prefers a window seat so she can see everything). She walks well on a leash and enjoys easy walks. Cats do not bother her. As is common with many white furred dogs with pink skin, she occasionally has skin issues and needs to be on a grain free dog food and needs to limit her exposure to the sun. Nikko also has some arthritis in her hips and would do best in a home with few stairs. Our adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted. If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at http://www.dreamhouserescue.org . Would like a private meet and greet to introduce this dog to your current pets? Call or text Sue at 513-484-9840 or Bonnie at 513-967-0007. Not sure? Ask about our Foster to Adopt program. Sweet Dream House Rescue is holding adoption events this Saturday from (12-5 pm) at the Newport Petsmart (156 Pavilion Parkway, Newport, KY) and (12-4 pm) at the Eastgate Petsmart (650 Eastgate South Dr., Cincinnati, OH).

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog-Mastiff Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mastiff / Mixed (medium coat). Mingo is a Big Ol Lug who looking for that forever couch to hang out on. He has some issues with Food aggression, which is being worked on and protectivness of his home, which is also workable. Bad News: Mingo does have food allergies Good News: We know what they are. He is on a limited ingredient food. He must be on a limited ingredient food the rest of his life. Mingo came into our rescue from another shelter that would have euthanized him due to medical - possible allergies and badly infected ears. We believe Mingo to be an Shepherd/Mastiff mix. He is 7-8 years old and weighs 85 lbs. He is housetrained and listens well. He loves to go for rides in the car and walks. He is absolutely great in the car and has learned to walk nicely on the leash. Mingo does know some basic commands. His best fit would be a home with no small children or small dogs. He is a very LARGE boy and would be a good pal to another large breed dog. Very strong boy, will take someone with good dog handling skills. Mingo would love to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can run at his leisure. If interested in Mingo please e-mail hartmanshounds@gmail.com or call Jen @ 440-453-4990.

    Breed: Beagle-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Asher and Ashton are brothers that came into the shelter together. Asher is the one with the white stripe down his nose. They are 7 months old and beagle mixes that we think will top out at 30 lbs. They are timid but accept affection willingly. It would be a bonus if they could be adopted together but we realize that is not always possible. However, each dog will need another dog in the home and a fenced yard. We are still learning about these two but they do seem to be good with other dogs. Molly Susan

    rescue
    Breed: Lhasa Apso-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Lhasa Apso / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $325. Please contact Susan (mcsuern1@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. Molly Susan is an owner surrender through no fault of her own. Her previous owner became ill and could no longer care for her. Molly Susan is very sociable and gets along well with other dogs. She loves to romp and play and run around in the back yard. She likes her toys and likes to play "fetch". She is crate trained but does get restless if left in crate too long. She also likes her quiet time and will cuddle up close to her master to rest. And she does sleep on the bed next to me! Molly Susan's adoption donation is $325 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, started on prevention as well as flea prevention. Does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. She does have a "bark" so would probably not do well in an apartment or condo. She does like to rest on a chair or couch and look out the window to check things out. She is ready for her own special mommy and daddy who will take good care of her and "spoil me rotten" PLEASE NOTE: If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website, not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances. If you go to the individual webpage of our dogs, you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here: http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog. We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved. It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable. If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence. Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets. The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms. The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information. If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed. Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home. No application is approved prior to the home visit being done. At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer. We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.

Posted Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog (medium coat). Hello! It''s Jan here my dudes! I am an 11 month old, estimated Catahoula mix. Really though, all I want to be is just an olympic track star. I would specialize in the high jump area of course, as I love to scale 6 foot fences. I love this beautiful coat of mine but I absolutely hate what it takes to keep it clean, baths. They''re not really my thing, but I don''t make the humans work TOO hard to get the deed done. If you couldn''t tell from my picture, I have the best smile and I guarantee that it''s one of the most infectious smile out there! I have been through some obedience classes and LOVE to learn, because learning gets me delicious treats! I get along with other dogs quite well, that''s how the humans know I can scale 6 foot fences. There''s nothing getting in between me and making some friends! I am quite the catch so I really hope you will come on out to the Wood County Humane Society and give me a chance.
