    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300. Maple is looking for a new foster or permanent home Can you help? Maple is a friendly 2-1/2 year-old, 58 lb girl who's just as sweet as the syrup for which she's named! "Maple just adores getting attention. She LOVES people — she's such a snuggler! She's crate-trained and housebroken and always comes when she's called, and sits politely for treats. She loves joining us for car rides, and will even join us in the shower if we're not careful! :-D She's going to be a wonderful companion for some lucky family!" Maple loves to play fetch with her foster's young grandchildren. She is looking for an active family, with someone home most of the day, with a fenced yard to play in. Like most adult pitbulls, Maple can be dog-selective so would do best as an only dog. Email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com find out if Maple is the right little miss for you! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php and http://www.hollysden.com/say_no_to_shock.htm (scroll down and click on the "Invisible Fencing Systems" link). We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!

Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hi! Thanks for giving me some attention! I'd like you to know that I've already been spayed or neutered. At Animal Friends, dogs and cats also leave fully up-to-date on shots and microchipped. All I need now is to find someone who will love me. Please ask to meet with an adoption counselor, so we can be properly introduced and talk about what kind of pet you're looking for. We can discuss whether you're looking for a lap pet or a social butterfly, an "only pet" or a furry "sibling" for kids or other animals. Best of all, by adopting from Animal Friends, you make it possible for them to rescue and care for another pet who truly needs help. So, what are you waiting for? Let's sit down together! ***************************************************** This friendly, spirited guy just can’t wait for his next adventure! Champ is an energetic fellow and will require opportunities to positively channel his enthusiasm! Frequent exercise and a high level of activity are requirements for his continued success in the household. Training classes and the use of positive reinforcement techniques are also recommended to help with his continued success. Besides cuddling with his favorite human friends (yes, he''s a big love bug!), Champ''s favorite thing to do is participate in our shelter dog play groups! In fact, his skills with other dogs are so great that he is often found helping teach other dogs how to play! So if you have a dog friendly canine in your home who enjoys engaging in dog play, please let us know and we can set up a meet and greet with you, your pet, and Champ! One other endearing quality about Champ is that he adores children! However, keep in mind that due to his size, he may accidentally knock them over when giving too many kisses! If you think Champ would be a good fit for your family, please come down to meet him today! Someone believes in Champ so much they have sponsored his adoption, so he is truly priceless! ***************************************************** To learn more about Animal Friends or view adoptable dogs, cats and rabbits, visit www.ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org. Animal Friends is located at 562 Camp Horne Road in the North Hills, just .5 miles from Exit 15 off of I-279N. For details or directions, call 412.847.7000.

  • Brittany Dog For Adoption in Curwensville, PA, USA

    IA-Roscoe

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Roscoe is approximately 3 years old, fully vetted and ready for his new home. He is a beautiful boy with so much energy and love. He is a people dog. He just loves people. He enjoys being outside on the deck watching for birds and rabbits and going on car rides, but he loves being inside with people and really wants to know where his people are all the time. Roscoe would like a house with a fenced yard so he can run off some energy or someone who can take him on long walks daily for the exercise and companionship. Roscoe came to NBRAN as an owner surrender. Lots of things have been new for Roscoe at his foster house. We do not think that Roscoe had spent much time in a house or with other dogs. He wasn't sure what stairs were, but now he can run up and down them very fast. Roscoe was not sure how to play with other dogs. After a brief adjustment he tolerates his 2 Brittany foster brothers, but seems to prefer to watch them play and not get involved. He does want to be the dominate dog and would prefer to have all of the attention. He does sleep in his kennel at night, but prefers that we don't lock the door. Roscoe's perfect home would be an only dog home with someone that is Brittany experienced, works from home, semi-retired, or retired. Roscoe is going to thrive in a home where he has clear structure, and receives positive reinforcement with future obedience training. Roscoe will need some training as he does not have a lot of manners, but he does seem to be learning quickly. He is learning sit and shake and is very treat motivated. He is an expert at counter surfing. He does like to jump on people and many not be suited for a family with small children. The foster family has a 4 foot fence and Roscoe has never attempted to jump it, but he really likes to dig. If you are looking for a loyal companion to give you lots of attention, then look no further. Roscoe is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), neutered, and micro chipped.
