    Breed: Chihuahua-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed (medium coat). Cathy and Lecha are the best of friends. In fact, when you meet one without the other, their personalities are quite subdued and shy. But together, they keep us laughing all day with their loving antics. We would like these two buddies to be adopted together to someone who would enjoy them as much as we do. They play SUPER WELL together, but be on the alert for wild Wookiee noises when they really get hiked up with the zoomies. Cathy is the more shy of the two, Lecha is very outgoing. Both of them clearly love people as much as they love each other. Cathy and Lecha could live with other dogs their size, as well as older children. We don't know about cats yet. Name: Cathy & Lecha Location: Old City Adoption Center (All our dog meets are by appointment for approved adopters only.) Breed: Terrier mix (Cathy); Chihuahua mix (Lecha) (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label) Age: 2-4 years (Cathy); 6 mos-1 year (Lecha) Weight: 14 pounds (Cathy); 9 pounds (Lecha) Reason for surrender to shelter: Cathy & Lecha were found as strays. If you are interested in meeting Cathy & Lecha, please email dogs@phillypaws.org for an application. If you have questions, please email the above address or contact our adoption staff at 215-298-9680, ext. 16. Animal ID#A36381318 (Cathy) & A36381316 (Lecha) (Updated 9/14/17) PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization. When she's not snuggling or giving all the love, she enjoys running around and playing with her toys. She would do best in a home with no cats or kids, and possibly no dogs because he is very selective of her doggie friends. Gizmo also needs a consistent routine to help her become the best pet she can be. Otto

    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hey everyone! My name is Otto and I am living with my foster mom (a dog trainer) and, wow, have I learned a lot! I sit, stay, come, wait, and even walk perfectly on the leash. I have been practicing dog social skills with my other dog housemates, but honestly I get along with all sorts of dogs, and I even have been living and getting along great with 3 cats. When I first came to stay with my foster mom, I was nervous and really didn't trust humans very much. However, now I cuddle, sleep on the bed and have a great perch on her couch. Her other dog has even taught me how to play with other dogs (I even know the doggy bow for play). I love stuffed toys and even have started learning how to chew on yummy marrow bones. I don't need to be crated - I haven't even nibbled on anything bad in the house and I am fully house trained. I need lots of exercise, and not just because I am a little overweight. I love to go on LONG walks - almost an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening and a pee break in the middle of the day. I love Philadelphia and have no problems with the noise or the bustle of the streets. I will need regular grooming and am a pro at the groomers. Name: Otto Location: Foster Care (All our dog meets are by appointment for approved adopters only.) Breed: Terrier mix (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Marley *spec...

    rescue
    Breed: Goldendoodle
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Golden Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Marley's adopter should be experienced with dogs and willing to work with a professional trainer. Marley is a big, STRONG goofball. He doesn't realize how big he is and since he is a bit unmannerly, hanging around with him means big muddy paws on your shoulders and lots of wet slobbery kisses. He needs lots of exercise, so he would be best with an active person or family. Marley lived most of his life outdoors and he needs obedience training to make sure he's the best pet he can be. Marley has a history of guarding toys and high-value food from people and other pets. He is an exceptionally skilled snack thief and likes to take (and keep) your food for himself! Marley has some anxiety, especially around doors. If people come over and ring/knock, he gets overexcited. He needs lots of training with this issue to prevent accidents at entrances. Marley cannot live with children because of his history of resource guarding. He can live with other dogs and possibly cats but only if his owner will be extremely careful about leaving toys/food out. Name: Marley Location: Old City Adoption Center Breed: Goldendoodle (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label) Age: 4-6 years old Weight: 55 pounds Reason for surrender to shelter: Marley's owner surrendered him because she didn't have enough time to spend with him.
