    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (medium coat). Quan is a lovely guy of indeterminate age. Quan has lived with other dogs and could again, but he would not be a good match for a home with children or cats. He is quite a handsome man and very sweet! He would love a quiet, calmer home with an owner who is looking for a couch potato to cuddle with. Quan does enjoy walks as well, but is lower energy. He appears to be mostly housebroken. We know from the condition of his teeth that he is older, but we don't know if he is a senior or not. As an older gentleman, Quan will have some medical issues to consider. He has been neutered and we extracted teeth at that time. With only three teeth remaining, Quan will have to be fed soft food. Name: Quan Location: Old City Adoption Center (All our dog meets are by appointment for approved adopters only.) Breed: Poodle mix (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Sasha just has the best personality - she's friendly and social, and we think she also has a well-developed sense of humor. If this girl has any flaws, it's that somewhere in the past she has learned to get attention by jumping on people. She's a smart girl, and with consistent training, the jumping will subside. Sasha would prefer to be the only dog and could live with older dog-experienced children. We don't know how she feels about cats yet. Bruce Wayne

    rescue
Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Bruce is a STRONG AND HUGE couch potato, LOVES snuggling, and positive human affection. He temporarily had been living with a dog trainer since he was found as a stray. His foster mom had two other dogs, and he has gotten along well with both of them, playing and sharing toys. Because he was living with a dog trainer, he already has a great start to his education - this smart boy doesn't mind a crate, isn't destructive, is fully house-trained (although will need to adjust to the routine of his new home's potty schedule), and already knows Sit, Off, Leave it, Out, Come (by name), touch, look, and Over here. He's learning beginnings of place and of lay down but will need more work on that. His foster mom feels strongly that he should continue with regular training, particularly since once he puts more weight on, he will be 65-70 pounds. Bruce does best with aloof, not engaging, cats. He will ignore them completely if they ignore him and could be redirected with a strong "leave it" or "look" command. Similarly, Bruce could make it work with laid back, well-mannered pooches, but his time in the shelter has left him a little stressed, so he'll need work on his reactivity and intros to other dogs- he can very chatty and a little too exuberant for some other canines. Name: Bruce Wayne Location: Grays Ferry Clinic (All our dog meets are by appointment for approved adopters only.) Breed: Pit mix (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Breed: Shih Tzu-Unknown Mix

Posted Breed: Shih Tzu / Mixed (medium coat). Niro has special medical needs and is looking for a hospice foster or forever home that can provide him with the care and comfort he needs in the time he has left. Niro is a low-key guy who is ready to settle in and spend the rest of his life in the lap of luxury. He was found by himself outside with hair so overgrown we could barely see what kind of dog was under there! Niro was much more comfortable after a hair cut, but he was still very nervous about being in the shelter- he has difficulty seeing and hearing, so it must have been a bit confusing and scary for him. Nero is doing much better now that he's in foster care and clearly appreciates the peace and comfort of a home. He likes to know that his person is nearby, but doesn't require a lot of attention as long as he's comfortable and knows he's safe. Niro is fine with cats and other dogs who are relaxed like him and respect his space, and he'd do best in an adult-only home since he startles easily. Niro is considered a hospice case due to his sight and hearing issues and because he may have a heart condition and/or Cushing's disease for which he will need regular trips to the vet and medication. We are determined to find him a loving home that can offer him palliative care and comfort for however long he has left. Please contact PAWS staff for more information on giving Nero a loving home! Location: USA
Posted Breed: Poodle (Miniature) / Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Stroganoff is a calm, quiet dog who loves belly rubs, going on walks, and napping. Like a good roommate, he is house trained and respectful of your space and belongings, and he expects you to respect his, too. He loves chasing after toys (until he gets bored, that is) and lying on his back in silly positions. Some things make him feel threatened, so he would do well with owners who understand dog behavioral issues and can keep working with him on these things. He would be most happy being the only dog in the home so you can save all your love and belly rubs for him. Stroganoff might be able to live with cats, as long as they are content to leave him alone. He would not be a good match for a home with children. Name: Stroganoff Location: Foster Care (All our dog meets are by appointment only for approved adopters.)
