Posted Breed: Hound / Mixed. Meet Cheerful Kimi Kimi, spayed female, 6 months old, 24 Lbs. Kimi and her siblings were born at a private recycling field. The owner kept all puppies out without giving them any food and shelter. When Kimi and her siblings were discovered by a lady, she spotted plastic strings and pepper skin in their stool. Obviously they were fed by anything they could find in the junk. All of them were extremely skinny and unhealthy. But the owner refused to transfer them to a safer place. On a raining day, the lady worried these pups, she came back to check on them and saw Kimi and her siblings wagging their little tails sitting in the rain, hungry and cold, waiting to be fed. It made the lady heartbroken. Soon or later, these pups were going to be discarded or abused that no one would have had a chance to find them anymore, she told herself. Immediately she posted Kimi’s status online, hoping someone could help these poor pups with authority. Luckily we discovered the post and finally took them out of that horrible place, taking them to an animal hospital for necessary checkups and medical care. Under foster family’s care, Kimi becomes a super friendly, cuddly and energetic happy pup. She was born with sweet and goofy nature to bring lots of laugher. Though she is active and playful, she behaves well. Kimi likes doggie friends; they can play all day long. When she meets children, she is patient and sweet. Foster mommy trained Kimi well. She is housebroken, knowing demands to sit before getting food. She is a sweetheart who loves snuggles and now waiting for a family to cherish her, loving her as she is. Posted Breed: Mountain Dog / Mixed. Meet Sweet Angie Angie, spayed female, 3 years, 42 Lbs. Hi, my name is Angie. Thank you for reading my story. Well, at first, I wasn’t on the list to be rescued out of the street. Some rescuers found my baby whining in a bush when I was out looking for food to nurse him. That was a long day for me…. because after I came back to my baby, he was gone. I went crazy and tried so hard to look for him days after days. He was too young and still in nursing. I worried so much that some other strays might hurt him ‘cause they always came checking on us from time to time trying to bully us. If I wasn’t too hungry that day, I wouldn’t have had left him in the bush. I was in great sorrow! Few days later, the rescuers showed up again. They immediately found me and took me away. Though I didn’t know where I would be taken to, there was no reason for me to stay there after my baby was gone anyway. Without any hesitation, I decided to follow them. Very soon, I was taken to an animal hospital. A nice nurse bathed me well. A vet gave me all necessary physical checkups and took me to a kennel. With great surprise, I spotted my baby in the kennel whining for milk. I was thrilled and so grateful these people came back for me. Few weeks later after my baby needing no more nursing, we were transferred to different foster homes. Though we couldn’t be together, I didn’t worry much this time because I knew he would be in great care as I would. To help me being more socialized, I stay with auntie Jessamy for basic obedience training and fostering. At first I was not quite comfortable being with other foster dogs. My bad memory kept reminding me those rough days on street to be bullied by other strays. So I cautiously kept a distance from other dogs. My foster mommy is truly very kind. She encouraged me to make friends with other foster dogs and in fact, they were all very friendly to welcome me joining in. Every day I get to walk out meeting many people and dogs. I finally feel so much relieved and become more and more confident every day. I truly like to be with people. Since the day I was rescued, every human being I met was so nice to me. With dogs. I have totally got over my fear of meeting them. I maybe a little shy to meet a new dog or some strangers coming toward me initially, but very soon, I am able to make friends for nice pets. If I don’t feel quite interested joining a play. I’ll simply walk away or stay quietly without bothering anyone. I really enjoy staying out in a patio or a big park, the breeze and green smell always make me very relaxed and happy. I am a well behaved, mellow and affectionate doggie with a clean bill of health. Now it’s time for me to find my own home. If you’d like to have a calm, sweet, cuddly and quiet doggie at home that also enjoys outdoor activities, you might want to consider me as the best friend. My name is Angie. I am a well behaved good doggie. Please visit www.ahan.org to view more “Angie’s” videos, click “APPLY” to fill out online application. Thank you again for reading my story! Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Cathy, 7 months old, spayed female, 27 Lbs. Breed: Retriever / Lab Mix Meet Happy Cathy Hello there, this is Anya and Cathy’s rescuer. Thank you for reading their story. When Anya and Cathy were about 6 weeks young, they were taken to a public shelter. A kind shelter volunteer worried about their physical conditions might not survive in there, she called and asked me if anyone could take them away for intensive care. Without hesitation I took these two babies out. After thorough physical checkups, they truly needed lots of notorious care. It took about one month of intensive care to see their sparkling eyes, plump figures and the sweet, happy smiles. Cathy is an energetic and easy going pup. She is curious about almost everything. When she meets people, she will come to you with happy wagging tail to ask for nice pets. If you have treats in hand, believe me, she will worship you and follow you around. She surely is cuddly and affectionate. Cathy is playful with dogs. With her optimistic nature, she is very easy to make friends with dogs and children. Being an active pup, Cathy chews sometimes if there is not enough play time for her to release energy. Squeaky stuff animals are her favorites. When Cathy stays home, she can play toys alone. Cathy is not a barker but if some stranger comes near the house, she will bark for warning. Cathy is housebroken, has up to date vaccinations and a clean bill of health. She is ready to find a sweet home to call her own. Please visit www.ahan.org to view more “Cathy’s” videos, click “APPLY” to fill out online application. Temperaments.
