Boerboel Dog For Adoption in CONCORD, VA

    Shenzi

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Boerboel
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: CONCORD, VA
Shenzi is a pure bred Boerboel (South African Mastiff). She is 3 years old and is up for adoption. She has an excellent temperament and wants to be at your side. She is housebroken and crate trained. She gets along with other dogs if introduced slowly, but males only. She is not good with cats and I would not believe her to be good with small dogs for the same reasons. I have not had her around small children but she seems to loves everyone she meets and does not care what you do to her. Trim her nails, lay on her, hug her. She is nervous in thunderstorms or the sound of guns but just wants to be with you or she is best in her crate at those times so she can hide. She walks perfectly on a leash and loves walks. she likes to jog, ride in cars, etc. She knows basic commands and is good in the house alone. She is such a love and we will miss her but we have to downsize for personal reasons, She has had 3 beautiful litters but is now retired from breeding and will be fixed prior to rehoming. She is UTD on vaccinations and worming as well.
