Posted Breed: French Bulldog / Labrador Retriever. Adoption Fee: 300. Adoption fee: $300 + $200 deposit (refundable after spay) Location: Houston area Puppy Breath Alert Let's play, Let's play...My name is Katrina and I am a mix of French Bulldog/Unknown and I am oh so cute. My mother Gretel was surrendered by a person that found her stray and realized that she was pregnant and could not care for all of us. Myself and 5 other tail wagging siblings came into the world via C-section and we all have been growing like weeds. I am healthy, happy, eating puppy food on my own and learning all about toys. I am sweet, mellow, moderate energy and love to nibble. I am the boss of all the other puppies and I will definitely be a DIVA. Respectful children 10+ would be ok with me and I need a family where I can be let out multiple times a day to potty. I am now in search of my forever home, so if you would like to have a tail wagging good time fill out an adoption application today. Katrina will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract. The adopter will be responsible for finishing her puppy shots and having her spayed by 6 months of age. After proof of this is provided an Adoption contract will be completed and the adoption finalized. A spay deposit is taken at time of approval of adoption and refunded after proof of vetting is provided.

More About French Bulldog Breed
If you’re looking to adopt a dog and don’t know where to start, puppyfinder.com is an excellent source for information about adopting a dog and will connect you with hundreds of shelters across the US that have adoptable puppies and older dogs waiting for forever homes.
  1. Do your research – find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle – before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you’re about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don’t have time for potty training and obedience classes you’ll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies – It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don’t be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet.
  4. Start looking… Once you know what you’re looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can’t get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.

      Grant

      rescue
      Breed: French Bulldog
      Sex: Male Male
      Age: Young
      Location: USA
Posted Breed: French Bulldog. Adoption Fee: 600. Adoption fee: $600 Location: Houston area Grant is an energetic, inquisitive boy who would thrive in an active household where he can get plenty of exercise and plenty of pets. Play hard and cuddle hard, that’s Grant’s motto! He loves playing fetch, chewing bones, and engaging in wild rumpuses with the resident frenchies. Grant was not cared for in his previous home so he came to foster care without many manners in the potty and socialization department. He is doing much better after his neuter. When Grant came to us he was covered in fleas and had some mild hair-loss. His hair is growing back and his itchyness is much improved. He is taking apoquel for the time being until his skin is better and he will need to be kept on a high-quality, grain-free food to keep his coat shiny and his skin clear. He is also taking a daily dose of prozac to help alleviate any anxiety he was having. Grant is looking for a home where he can get plenty of attention and opportunities to play. He is not the type of dog who is content to curl up in a warm sunbeam and nap the day away—he craves stimulation and exercise and attention from his people. Grant can be rough so kids over 10 years are a must. A household with Frenchie experience is also a MUST, as Grant is smart and obedient, but has that trademark bully stubborn streak, and will need lots of patience and positive reinforcement as he adjusts to his forever home. If Grant sounds like the dog for you, then give a click on the link below and tell us why you’d make a perfect match. He will be waiting for you! DISCLAIMER: Grant was adopted and returned because the resident frenchies in his new home were starting fights with him and he will fight back. In his current foster home he does great with the other male and female frenchies. In his previous foster home he did great with the submissive male frenchie, but did get in a fight with a family members dog and a dog in the neighborhood. The best home for Grant would be a dog experienced home, a fenced yard to run, other dogs would probably be ok, but would need to be submissive. Female preferred.

Posted Breed: English Bulldog. Adoption Fee: 250. Adoption Fee: $250 Location: San Antonio area Age is just a number....Hi, my name is Sadie and I was dumped at the shelter by my owner. Was it because I had medical issues, to old, to skinny, to many fleas? I guess I will never know, but it was heartbreaking for me to be dropped like a piece of trash. SMRS found value in my life even though I am 11 yrs old, emaciated and needed routine medical care. I have been to the Vet and I feel much better and I enjoy every meal that is put in front of me and oh how I love the feeling of a soft bed under my bones. All my testing came back great and for my age I am in wonderful health. I do take daily drops for dry eye, but it is low maintenance. I am still putting on much needed weight, but other than that I am good to go. I enjoy my soft bed, lots of naps, good meals and the occasional bone. I do get upset sometimes when my foster sister tries to get in on my scratching time with my foster mom. I am pretty mellow so I will do well in most environments. No stairs though! Please consider applying for me and giving a sweet, senior gal and loving home for the rest of her days! Love Sadie

      Breed: Bulldog
      Sex: Male Male
      Age: Adult
      Location: USA
Posted Breed: English Bulldog. Adoption Fee: 500. Adoption fee: $500 Location: Houston area Sweet and gentle Romeo is a laid back gentleman who just wants to be safe and loved. Romeo likes to relax near his people. He is content to lay on a cozy blanket, a soft pillow, or his bed. He also loves to catch some rays on a cool, sunny day. If you are looking for a Bulldog who will always be by your side to snuggle and cuddle, Romeo could be the one for you. Romeo is the kindest and gentlest dog his foster family has ever known. He is not dominant and has no aggression issues whatsoever with other dogs, food, or toys. He is crate and leash trained and can be left unattended with no issues. This sweet fella does NOT like to exercise. AT ALL. Well, unless you count the happy dance he does when it's breakfast and dinner time. Romeo will bark and wiggle until his food is placed in front of him. It's totally adorable! Romeo does have arthritis and dry eye that require daily medications. He did have chronic ear infections before so his ears need to be monitored and cleaned. His canals do have some hardening due to this neglect. Romeo is very good about taking his eye and joint medications and waits to get his treat afterwards. He would not do well in a home or apartment with stairs or with small children who could be rough with him. Romeo requires a high-quality, grain-free food to keep his coat shiny and his skin clear. He is crate-trained and will enter his kennel on command. Just about any type of home would be great for Romeo, so long as there are plenty of opportunities for snuggling and snoozing with his people! Of course he would love to have a person to keep him company during the day, but he would also be just fine staying at home with his doggie companion (with a midday break to use the facilities, of course). Romeo would also make an excellent take-to-work dog, as long as you don’t expect him to do much more than nap at your feet! If Romeo sounds like the dog for you, then give a click on the link below and tell us why you’d make a perfect match. He will be waiting for you!

      Location: USA
Posted Breed: English Bulldog. Adoption Fee: 600. Adoption fee: $600 Location: Houston area Sugar...ah honey honey. My name is Chewy and I was found wandering the streets, my owner was never found, but I was lucky enough to have joined the SMRS family. When I arrived I received the news I was Heart worm positive, but I have completed my treatments and I am ready for my own forever home. I am a sugar sweet girl who is house trained, kennel trained with no anxiety and I am not vocal. I do need to share that I am deaf, but I am learning some hand signals under the guidance of my foster mom. I am easily startled while I am snoozing, although I have never snapped or growled it does scare me and my foster mom wakes me by letting me smell her hand and I gently wakeup. I prefer a home with no cats and I like my dog friends to be the submissive, laid back type, but I will require a very slow introduction to any dogs. Oh heck, I would not mind being your one and only. I do love children, I am very gentle and love the attention from the small ones as well as adults. Children over 8+ years would be great for me. My days are now spent chewing on Nylabones, chew toys and lounging on the top of the couch or even an end table. Foster Mom says we are working on this, but it really is my safe spot and I am always very careful to never-ever knock over or damage anything. I must report I am an easy maintenance kind of bully girl who does not have the typical Bulldog health issues such as deep wrinkles to clean, ear issues or any problems with my breathing. I am a mellow companion who is ready to bring joy into your life and a giggle or two into your day. What are you waiting for, fill out my adoption application today.

I was found as a stray and after all efforts were exhausted in the hopes to find my family, no one came to reclaim me. I am all ready to go and I can hardly wait to meet my forever family. I do have sight limitations and I am best suited in a family with children over 10 yrs old who are gentle and able to understand my needs. Also a home with no stairs is a must as I get a bit disoriented from time to time especially when I am in play mode. My foster Mom advises I do best if I am leash walked for potty breaks. I have a very outgoing personality and I have never met a stranger, human or dog. My days are spent playing with balls, running, playing and being petted by my human.
