    Victoria

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 300.00. Meet Victoria, she is a delightful four-year-old GSD. She came to us with her best friend Albert last year from Kern County. They were surrendered by the same family, and had grown up together. We tried for months to adopt them together but were not able to do so. A wonderful couple wanted Albert to join their family, reluctantly the staff decided that one home was better than none. When Albert was adopted, Victoria was very sad; she missed her best friend. Over time she has made new friends. Victoria is playful, gentle and is all the things you love about GSD. She will fit into any lifestyle. She is easy and adjusts well to changes in her life. Take her camping, walking or to the mall.

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Adoption Fee: 350.00. BRANDI is a super adorable 7-month old bi-color female, who was surrendered by her owner, a back yard breeder. ** Brandi's bio coming soon ** DOGS: CATS: KIDS: IDEAL FAMILY: If you're looking for a gorgeous, young, trainable German Shepherd who will love you forever, Brandi may be your ideal family member! BRANDI'S ADOPTION FEE: $350 This fee covers only part of what we spend to vet, board and rehab the dogs we save. On average we spend over $450 on each dog. We made a decision to keep our adoption fee at the 2005 level even though vet prices have doubled and tripled since then. We are constantly fundraising to cover the deficit. At minimum, your adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies shot, distemper/parvo shot, bordatella shot, deworming, monthly heartworm and flea preventives, and microchip. In many cases it also includes surgery and various types of vet treatment for standard issues such as hot spots, ear infections and so on. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BRANDI? Complete an Adoption Application Now! PLEASE READ THIS: We're picky about our adopters! GSDs are not for everyone. They take a lot of time, effort and training. They shed all year round. They're big and scare lots of people. They "mouth" and are usually strong-willed and stubborn. You have to have references and a home visit. If you're not willing or able to deal with any of this, please don't waste your time applying. All MOGS dogs must be inside family pets. We do not adopt to outdoor only homes. When you're not home, you must put your dog indoors (NOT in the yard). One adopted MoGS dog died after the owners went to run errands, left her outdoors, someone opened the gate, and she was hit by a car. Privacy fences get broken into, gates are opened, thieves steal dogs. NEVER leave your dog outdoors when you're not home!! You're required to make a lifetime commitment. The minute you adopt, it is your responsibility to keep your dog safe, loved and cared for FOR LIFE. Only you can do that. Are you unable or unwilling to make a lifetime commitment? Do not apply. What's your plan for unexpected events and major changes? New baby? Divorce? Moving? How you will provide for your dog if your family breaks up? If you move? If you have a child? You're making a lifetime commitment to a MOGS Dog. We expect you to keep it! It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to stick by your family member -- no matter what. Have Questions? Email us at mogsrescue@gmail.com Thank you for considering a homeless dog or cat.

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Adoption Fee: $375.00. Adopting A Shelter Dog These dogs come without background histories/ past medical information. We present these dogs as we have observed in relationship to age, size, breed, behavior, housebreaking, crate training, good with children, cats, dogs, and strangers. Dogs may present themselves differently in different environments, therefore The Dog Spot Rescue, their agents, volunteers, can not guarantee behavior, age, size expectations, breed, house Training, destructive behavior tendencies, and/or medical issues. All dogs from shelters have been subjected to pathogens from the shelter level which can materialize into disease in the future. Each adopter must observe for themselves pre-adoption and make decisions for themselves the suitability of said dog and their tolerance levels for transitional time when adopting a shelter dog. We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog. Meet Titan,a large German Shepherd male who is about 6- 7 years old. He is about 85 pounds, gentle, sweet nautered and LOVES people. Excellent with other dogs, children, and loves long walks on the trail or around the neighborhood. Housebroken, well behaved. Titan is easy going, laid back but loves his walks and could do runs with you if you excerise and want a partner. He loves to hang around the house and watch you as you work or garden. He is affectionate, well behaved with kids here, good with other dogs. He has been good with livestock here at our ranch. He does not dig, he is not a big barker but would let you know if something goes bump in the night. A great companion dog for a senior owner who likes their dogs big. Found at a shelter rescue list, he needed help and TDS came to the rescue. Now in our program, we know that he will not be completely happy until he has a family or a person of his own. Adoption is $375 and includes his neuter, rabies, worming, shots, heartworm test, bordatella vaccine and microchip. All dogs are met by appointment in Elk Grove, Ca If interested in this sweet dog, please fill out an on line application at: thedogspot.rescuegroups.org and then contact us for a meet and greet appointment at: thedogspotrescue@aol.com. He is waiting patiently for you! Your Adoption Fee covers the following expenses: Spay/Neuter, DHLPP, Bordatella, Rabies (if age appropriate), De-worming and Frontline/Advantage Please Note: Shelter/rescue dogs have been exposed to many pathogens such as kennel cough, parasites, diseases and conditions some of which may not have been discovered prior to adoption. Any dog that shows symptoms here at TDS are routinely identified, taken for tests and treatment. Our vet bills can exceed $10,000 a month. However, without symptoms, we may miss a disease, or pre-existing condition or parasite. Consider carefully if you have the tolerance for these possibilities. We consider, you, the adopters, the last leg of the rescue process.

Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Adoption Fee: 325.00. Hi my name is Nora (0371) my foster mom helped pick out my name while I was in the shelter, and I seem to be responding to it. I am around 6 years of age, but you wouldn’t be able to tell by my energy level. I love to play fetch and am in constant motion. I am very good at catching the ball in the air. I would do best in a home with an active family lifestyle who is very experienced with GSD’s. I get along very well with the young children in my foster home. I am typically more interested in playing fetch than with what the children are doing. I am heart-worm positive, and will need to start my treatments at the end of February. I also am in need of some refresher training on basic commands, but I am treat driven so that helps me listen. I would do best in a home with a submissive low key male or as an only dog. I am currently working on clicker training to help me get along better with my 4 legged foster brother who is much bigger than I am. For more information about me and any updates please contact my foster at kad.ssr0830@gmail.com Please review our adoption process, www.shenandoahrescue.org/adoption-process if interested Donations can be made at shenandoahrescue.org/donate or on PayPal to info@shenandoahrescue.org

    Gretchen 280...

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (long coat). Gretchen is a 3-year-old female German Shepherd who must be spayed before she is adopted. Her magnificent coat is the classic brown and black of a pure bred German Shepherd. She weighs 64 pounds so she is considered to be a large adult dog. Gretchen was an owner turn in to PAHS because she did not "get along well with the farm animals". We believe she would be fine in a home with children but probably would not be good with cats or small dogs. As for larger dogs you might want to bring your dog out to the shelter for a "meet and greet" with Gretchen. This beauty queen of a dog is very intelligent and observant about everything that is going on at the shelter. Gretchen would love to meet you and we think she would appreciate you coming out to the shelter to take her for a walk. We are open 11:00 to 4:00, Monday through Saturday, so plan to come out and meet Gretchen. Dogs and puppies may be adopted for a fee of $120. All cats and kittens may be adopted for $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under "special needs" our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
