    Dixie - Amaz...

    rescue
    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Meet Dixie! Dixie is about 3.5 years old and a sweet and gentle girl. She is curious, calm, and listens wells. Dixie knows basic commands and is learning more eavery day. Dixie is good with other household pet companions, including cats. She does have some leash reactivity so a focused owner will need to use tips and be consistent in talking her on walks. Leash assertion is not uncommon and she will learn over time. Young kids make her a bit nervous so a home with teens on up will be best for her. She will make a wonderful addition to any household. Her breed is not suitable for apartments, so we would like to see Dixie in an active household with a yard. Dixie will be vaccinated, spayed and chipped before adoption. Her adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (short coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Damien- Damien is a stunning German Shepherd boy. He is a handsome guy with a stunning black and brown coat. He has natural ears and tail and such a happy personality. He really is a charmer and wants to be someones best friend. He is a big guy and when he fills out he is going to be a stunner. He is a great dog with everything you would expect from a shepherd. He is amazing and we know that he will make someone an amazing dog. We adore the big guy and know that he will make someone a great forever pet. He is a tall guy and has a stunning build that he is finally filling out into. He is a great dog and we adore him. Damien came to us when his owner had surgery and could no longer care for him. He is still puppy at heart and she was going to be down for a few months and could not care for him. He did great with her dogs and was an all around amazing dog but she knew that it was not fair for him. We offered to help and are so glad that we did. He is a great dog and someone is getting an amazing pet who just needed a little love and training Damien is a silly guy. He loves to play with rocks and balls. He will roll them around for hours. His favorite toy is a kong EGG, it’s a hard egg shaped toy. He will talk to it and have a great time. He loves to go for rides and is a champ about it. He does great with other dogs and loves to play and even does great with kids, and adults too. He is a great dog. He does need a slow intro to cats but has done well once he knows that he can not play with them. He is an amazing guy who would excel at anything asked of him. He is amazing and we adore him. He is easy to train since like most shepherds he wants nothing more then to be his owners best friend. Damien is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. He is house broken, crate trained and does ok on leash. He is still working on basic commands as he had none when he first came to us. He is doing great with dogs, cats and kids. But like any dog we suggest an introduction time. He has not shown any health issues or allergies which can be common with the breed. He came to us very thin but is gaining weight. Right now he is on puppy food to help with his weight gain. But he plays so hard that gaining weight has been done slow. Plus it is safer to do so. He is an amazing and smart dog and will make someone a great pet! We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. MANY of our dogs come in with special needs or medical issues. These need to be resolved before going home. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!

Chloe is a sweet, young female White Shepard whose time had run out at the shelter. Rompin Paws was asked to help. We're are so happy we were able to step up. Chloe is awesome! She is sweet, happy to be free and alive, grateful, smart, willing to learn new things. Chloe has great energy and is friendly toward all people and most dogs. Chloe would make an excellent hiking buddy, a great travel companion and all around go with her humans everywhere dog. if you work from home she will thrive with the extra love and attention. Chloe will need to attend dog training/obedience as part of the adoption contract. Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Chloe will be an awesome addition to a family that can give her the attention, exercise, training and affection she deserves. Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescue animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG ADOPTION: 1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences. 3) Secure visible fencing required. 4) You must have plan in place to socialize your dog properly. 5) Please do NOT write us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the dog may not be available. 8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy. Health: Chloe has been spayed , she is microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. She has been wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo History: Chloe was going dumped in overcrowded shelter in California. Rompin Paws Rescue was asked to help to rescue her to keep her out of the shelter and we are so glad we did. All dogs RPR pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state Law. Adoption: If you think you have room in your home and heart for Chloe please go to our website: http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/ There you will find more information and be able to fill out an adoption application. Adoption Fees Adoption fee is 495.00 this covers transport from california, adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, spay/neuter, etc... We bring dogs from up from California. so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington, Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs. About Rompin Paws Rescue Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, non-profit organization working towards our 501C3, specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms and other Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State. Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them. We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship. Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California.. RPR was established in April, 2015. we placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington. We have a few local fosters and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives Come Meet Our Pets... We have a home based operation on Acreage in Arlington and Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption. Our Adoption Process... Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at out facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. we continue the interview in person and make sure the dog and family are a good fit.
