    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Kong- Kong is a stunning german shepherd. He is a big guy with an adorable face and a sweet personality. He has a cute as can be face with one upright ear and one floppy ear. He is a big guy and just a ham. We adore him and he just needs a home with a family who can give him some time to adapt and be the amazing dog we know he will be. He is a stunning black and tan boy with medium hair and a great personality once he is used to you. This boy has been through so much and deserves a soft place to land. He just wants a family of his own and a place to be his own. Kong came to us from another rescue. He had been surrendered to a shelter with his brother. His brother was much more conifdent then Kong and was quickly adopted leaving him behind with no one he knew, in a stranger place, and very scared. He had been abused at some point in his past as he was even scared to be touched, and just overwhelmed. They had tried to find him a home but was not having any luck and the poor guy was spending his life in boarding. That doesn’t make things any better. So we are so glad we work with amazing groups and able to help. He is loving having a yard of his own and people who love him. Kong is a great dog who needs a family that can help him through his past. He is a bit shy at first and would do best with older kids or an older couple. He is low energy guy who is more laid back but still loves to go for walks, hang out in the yard and have a good time. He does well with other dogs once introduced and would do amazing in a home with a confident dog who can show him how to live. We feel that for him his brother likely was the one who played that role. He is a great dog and wants nothing more then to be part of a family again. He has so much life to live, and so much love to give. We would love to see his heart whole and in a home again. He has been great with dogs of all sizes and even tolerated cats in his home. He just needed time. We suggest to go slow with any new dog. Kong is a great dog. He came to us with out many manners or training but that is quickly changing. He is very willing to learn and loves being worked with. He was so scared of even being touched but is learning that love is a great thing. He is doing great inside and even doing good on leash now. He is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. He is a great dog who truly deserves a second chance. He just wants to be loved and part of a family. Please help us give him that chance. He is crate trained and working on some basic commands. We are spending more time on socilization then commands right now. He is learning to walk on leash and how to love cookies. He does great in a crate and loves car rides He has come so far we adore him! We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. MANY of our dogs come in with special needs or medical issues. These need to be resolved before going home. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!

Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Johnny- Johnny is a stunning German shepherd guy. He is a big guy and really filling out as he matures and gains some weight. He is longer coated then a normal shepherd. And has some light tan in his coat. He is a great dog who just needs a home that will spend time to love him and work with him like he deserves. He is a great dog who has spent so much time as nothing more then a junk yard guard dog. He is a great dog and once he gets used to you he is a silly guy who just wants to be loved and the light of your life. We adore him and everyone is falling in love with him. Johnny came to us with 2 other dogs. They had been surrendered when their owner was picked up for some legal trouble and was not able to come back for them. The family that was with him decided the best thing to do was surrender the dogs. These were dogs that were being left outside, on a chain and not fed often or enough. The dogs often were allowed to fight over food as they were all so thin that one was only a few days from dying when they came in. We could see all their rib cages, hip bones, and had big open sores and wounds. These dogs were bearly hanging on for the first few weeks but with good care, love, and lots of food we were able to get them over the hump and on the way to being happy healthy dogs. Johnny is a great dog but would do best in a home with older kids. He was not given a lot of attention as a pup and has learned to be pushy. He does ok with dogs but best with a confident dog, and is hit and miss on males. We have only seen one dog he didn’t like and it was a very fearful dog who would try and pick on him. So we don’t totally blame him. He does great with people he knows. He knew no commands when he came to us, and never had even been groomed. So his coat was a solid mess of feces, urine, dirt and so impacted he could barely move. We were able to strip his coat and get him feeling a lot better. He is a great dog who is a typical husky and needs an owner that will keep his feet and his brain busy. He does need a tall fence as he will hop anything under 4 ft. He is an amazing dog and has a will to learn anything you want to teach him. Once he knows you are not going to hurt him he is a devoted soul who just wants to be part of a family. He is a great dog and we adore him. Johnny is a great dog. He is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. He is doing great with house breaking and amazing in his crate. He is working on basic commands and leash work and doing well. He had never been groomed before so we are learning about how to be a good grooming participant and he is doing really well. He has had a lot of learning to do. He does good with older kids, but can be a bit pushy at times. He is never going to be a dog park type of dog. But can be with dogs of his own. His biggest issue at this time is food with other dogs due to the neglect he had. He is a great dog who would love to have his first real family of his life! We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (short coat). **This information is current - when you email you can rest assured we will email back within 24hrs., but usually within an hour of receiving your email!**The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason. Please respect that and do not email us to ask. Without ongoing support and adoption fees, our rescue WILL CEASE TO EXIST!**No phone calls, EMAIL ONLY, AlphaMom33@aol.com to get an application, thank you for understanding.** **These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.** This dog used to be FREEWAY and we had quite a few votes for "Shadow", so SHADOW it is! *if reading this on Petfinder, go to our site on Adopt-A-Pet - it is much easier to read (google us!)!**ALL the INFO we have on this pet is found right here in this BIO, thank you for understanding! Breed: German Shepherd Dog Age: 2 years Energy: lively and active, would enjoy a medium activity level home- since he's a tri-pawed (amputee, rear leg) he needs low impact yet challenging activity in his new home. So, not a lot of climbing, but perhaps hiking or agility with the right instructor. Regular activity such as daily play and a large fenced yard would be appropriate for him. An owner who uses clicker training would be ideal as well. Barking: He is a German Shepherd Dog (high content or purebred). They do bark to alert their owner of possible intruders Size: XL at 94lbs. and underweight - should be 110 - 115lbs we are guessing - eats 4 cups A DAY of high quality food! Kids: over 8yrs. please - while we don't have concerns about him with kids at all, he might accidentally knock a smaller child down. Cats: he's a bit too interested in cats so no kitties in the home or neighborhood would be good - he's not aggressive but we don't give him a chance to find out, either. Dogs: a spayed female/neutered male similar size/personality (playful goofy dog) He got along with all the dogs he met but may overwhelm smaller dogs. Health: excellent, neutered and ready for a home! Shadow was struck by a vehicle on 6-29-17. His ankle area (end of tib-fib) was mangled so badly surgery was near impossible and had such a high rate of potential failure our veterinarian recommended amputation. So Shadow became a tri-pawed and is now healed and doing very well on just 3 legs! Shadow is a very high content - purebred German Shepherd Dog. We are seeking a GSD experienced home for him! While Shadow is a lovely German Shepherd, he's a big playful goof who truly enjoys affection, including light hugs and kisses. He really adores humans! Shadow needs 4-5 cups of food per day, or 4 cups (split between two meals) and 2 cans of food a day to maintain his current weight. Please be prepared to purchase a good quality food which is free of wheat, corn, soy and byproducts, and purchase a lot of it! He can go through 40 lbs. in 3 weeks! There is a $250 donation for Shadow which includes his neuter, chip, and also helps us rescue more needy dogs like him! SEE MORE PICS AND INFO on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/A-PAW-UP-Rescue-E-WA/92163841238 EMAIL US - AlphaMom33@aol.com TO REQUEST AN APPLICATION-We WILL RESPOND within 24 hours (usually less!) All adopters are required to pick up their new family member HERE, within a week of your application being completed and being approved to adopt. Because this is our home, we have LIMITED SPACE to keep dogs, THANK YOU for your understanding. The sooner an adoptable dog finds a home, the sooner we can rescue another! ****If you are unable to come adopt for longer than a week, a deposit ($50) and/or a $10/day donation towards boarding may apply!**** *Be aware that if you cannot adopt the puppy you've already placed a deposit on, you forfeit your deposit and it becomes a donation to our rescue.* Thank you for your understanding. **All our foster dogs and puppies have been vaccinated with Galaxy DA2PPv at least ONE TIME. When appropriate and available, they get a rabies vaccination, and they have been dewormed at least once. They come with a health record that reflects this at the time of adoption. They are also Microchipped and come with a free month of health insurance.** No meet and greets take place without a completed/approved application. **We DO allow out of state adoptions, but we DO NOT ship our pets. **These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.** The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason. Please respect that and do not email us to ask. **No phone calls, EMAIL ONLY- Alphamom33@aol.com, to get an application, thank you for understanding.**
