    Beecher

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. 3 year old Beecher is a black and tan male who came to us from a high kill animal shelter. He was labeled “rescue only” because he was so fearful at the shelter. GSROC opted to give him a chance and we have brought him into our safety net. Beecher takes a while to warm up to people, but once he does, he give his entire heart. He would be well suited to someone who wants a dog with protective instincts. Beecher is not suitable for a family with children or with other dogs. He requires a patient, loving person who understands the sensitive nature of German ShepherdsPlease go to our website and complete an adoption application at: http://www.gsroc.org/application.asp. An adoption counselor will contact you to go over your application and assist you in determining which dog may be best for your particular situation.

Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Please contact Adoption (coastalgsrsd@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Malcolm was recently rescued from a shelter, and even though he has been through the trauma of losing his family, he is a confident and curious dog. He loves to ride in the car, has a very lively personality, and is very obedient when walking with his handlers. Malcolm came from a home with another dog, and so far, he seems to be very dog friendly. He would love a home with another dog and a patient and loving family so that he can learn to trust once again. Please visit http://www.coastalgsrsd.org/to learn more about our dogs. Duke

    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Please contact Adoption (coastalgsrsd@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Hi, my name is Duke. It's too bad that I don’t live in England because I'm sure I would have a family to love and protect and a life style that is befitting my name! I joined Rescue almost two years ago and because of my good looks, I was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, the day after I was adopted, my family decided to show me off at this big party with dogs and kids and lots of people. There was so much going on. So many people, so much noise, so much commotion. I was absolutely overwhelmed! When I am overwhelmed, I am not always on my best behavior. I'm sorry but I just can't help it. A few weeks later a nice volunteer took me to her home where I met and got along with other dogs and her daughter. But again there were so many parties and all these “friends” kept coming over the house. Yes, I was overwhelmed. And I thought I had to protect my human mom from all those people who made all that noise. The next thing I know, I was back in the kennel. Again. I am not a puppy. I am not looking for a wild and crazy home! I am an adult dog and I am looking for a nice, quiet family who will give me a chance to be the good dog that I know I can be. I am obedient and quite self confident. I am house broken and I LOVE riding in the car with my humans. You can ask any volunteer or dog in the kennel and they will tell you that I am a very nice dog. All I need is an established family where the humans will respect my space and give me guidance, direction, and mentoring. I am lucky to be invited to the Coastal swim party almost every Friday. I don’t enjoy swimming as much as some of the other dogs but I do enjoy the bone munching session. I was told that I am very pleasant company to both dogs and humans when we are there. So, please check me out! I might not be a duke in British royalty but I am handsome, affectionate, and loyal. Please visit http://www.coastalgsrsd.org/ to learn more about our dogs. Minnie

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Please contact Adoption (coastalgsrsd@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. There was a great song made popular many years ago with the lyrics, 'I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way'. This is Minnie's favorite song today! Minnie had her cataract surgery one week ago and yesterday she had her first follow up visit. We are very happy to tell you that she is recovering from her surgery as we had hoped and expected. The stitches in her eyes have been removed and she definitely is seeing again. She'll have to use the cone for two more weeks but then our diabetic girl will be ready to attend adoption events and look for her forever home. Many thanks to everyone who donated to her medical fund. Your help and support of Rescue made Minnie's surgery possible. We think we can hear her singing more lyrics, 'Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind, It's gonna be a bright, bright sun shiny day!' Zena

    rescue
    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Hi, I’m Zena. I’m a very sweet girl; all the volunteers at the shelter will vouch for that. I do have to get to know you a little because I’m a bit on the shy side, but it doesn’t take long for me to make friends. Also, I suffer from separation anxiety. This means that when you’re home with me I’m a great companion, sweet and well-behaved. However, if you leave me I must be left outside of the house in a fenced yard. It’s okay, I like being outside as long as I have some shelter from the extreme weather - a doghouse in the winter and shade in the summer. I know the right person will come my way and then it will be just like in the movies, happily ever after. Are you my way to happily ever after?

    Jessie

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Jessie was wandering the streets when a kind animal lover discovered her. No tags, collar or any method of identifying her owner was found. GSROC could not bear the thought of this beautiful girl alone and on her own. She is approximately 3 years old and has a quiet nature. She is quiet and somewhat unsure around strangers right now. Jessie is not sure exactly what has happened to her and she is uncertain. Recently we introduced Jessie to some cats. She let us know in no uncertain terms that she is not a fan of felines! Due to her reaction, we believe she would do best in a home with no small dogs or cats. We are just getting to know Jessie and will update her profile shortly. Please go to our website and complete an adoption application at: http://www.gsroc.org/application.asp.
