Posted Breed: Weimaraner / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Hello! I AM A MALE PUPPY. MY MOM was found in a ditch in AL by a nice man. She was so scared because I was most likely dumped there! She was taken to a home and given good food and lots of love! Then she was taken to the vet and was told this great news that she is going to be a mom! Well, not sure what that really meant, but here we go! Well on Nov 1st, she gave birth to 10 puppies! 3 girls and 7 boys! She did a great job! It does look like some of my puppies have the coloring of a Rottweiler. That could very well be why I was dumped - see I could be a purebred and if my owner didn't want puppies that were mixed, that means they didn't want me. Fortunately, Purr-fect Match loves all breeds, so they offered to help my mom and siblings! I will be ready to travel to WI and arrive on January 28, 2018. I will be available for adoption immediately as I will have all of my shots. I will need to be neutered when I am old enough. The adoption fee for puppies is $250. There is a $100 refundable deposit which is returned when the puppies are old enough to be altered. The puppies are expected to arrive in WI in January 2018. They will be altered in March/April 2018. The vetting is done by a vet in Sheboygan WI. The $250 fee includes spay/neuter, rabies, microchip and all puppy shots. If a personal vet is chosen, the $100 deposit will be refunded when proof of the spay/neuter is complete. The fees from a personal vet are at the adopters cost. The adoption fee is NOT reduced if a personal vet is chosen. If you would like to adopt any of us, please fill out a non-binding application at our website http://purrfectmatch.rescuegroups.org/ Thank you for choosing to adopt!

    Decker

    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Weimaraner / Mixed (long coat). Beautiful, Loving, Energetic Best Friend! Can you help us find the perfect forever home for Decker? He’s a 21(ish) month old Yellow Lab and Weimaraner mix. He was dumped and left for dead in the country near the ranch of a family friend, we found him when visiting the ranch for the day over the summer. We named him Decker because we discovered he had been staying out of the heat under the deck. We estimate that he had been there for about 1 month based on his condition. When we found him, he was wild, hungry, and covered in fleas and ticks. We checked with local landowners just to confirm he didn’t belong to someone else. They all confirmed that it was very common for folks to “dump” dogs in that area. Anyway, we brought him home and began to care for him. He had scabs, scars, and wounds all over, not to mention the ticks! I’m glad to say he is now a new puppy! We’ve had him at the vet many times, and they have confirmed that he is in good health with one exception. He has an early-mid case of Heart Worms. He is currently in the second round of the slow kill method (we’ve been treating for about 4 months now). We will gladly continue the treatment for his forever family. Aside from the heartworms, he is in excellent health. The vet believes he will have a full recovery from heartworms, so that's just a matter of time too. Finally, we also had him fixed about three months ago. Decker does much better when he is around other people, when separated he becomes more excited and it takes longer for him to settle down. He shows most issues with anxiety when there is heavy rain/thunder, and when he has been separated from people for long periods of time. Decker had been spending a lot of time outside, and would often dig out of boredom. He only seems to dig when left alone for long periods of time. That said, we do allow him in the house when we are home. Since being fixed, he has not marked or had an accident in the house. He goes to the back door when he needs to go out. Decker responds to his name. He will sit (usually) on command, and he is kennel trained. He will enter a kennel on command and sleeps there every night. He no longer runs off when let out of the house/yard without a leash. I often let him out in our front yard without worry of him running off. We use an invisible fence in the backyard, with a shock collar, this has been effective in containing him in the yard when we are away. I use a vibrating collar to train Decker and he responds well to the vibrate function. More than anything, he loves to be pet and to play... We will continue to foster Decker, but we desperately want to find the right home for this loving and kind puppy. We'll also set up his forever home with his "stuff" that we've acquired while caring for him. Items with Decker: Leash Collar Outdoor Dog House Inside Large Kennel Water/Food Bowl Vibrate/Shock Collar Current Meds: Simparica - Flea Tick Doxycycline - Heart Worms Current Vaccinations: Up to date Current Food: IAMS Large Breed

Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Weimaraner / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $200. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Toys and people - people and toys - make life complete. Date into Rescue: 5/30/2017 Reason for being in rescue: Found as a stray in eastern North Carolina Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? None noted Weight: 50 lb Height: about 24 in at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes, she is very energetic! What kind of home would be best for me? Mia would be great in a number of settings as long as her people are energetic and do a lot. She is a lot of girl. She is good with other dogs and didn't react to our cats here, so should be good with a cat in the home. She is not a fan of children 10 years or younger; her forever home must have older, mature kids or adults only. What is my personality like? Mia is very affectionate. She loves people. She also loves toys. She will chase after them and play. She can sit on command and seems to listen really well. Still has a habit of jumping up on people, but that can be corrected. How do I act when I first meet new people? Mia needs an active home that understands that big girls need play time and running time. She'd be a great running companion. Other tips and tidbits: She has lots of energy and does well with the big dogs in the field. She doesn't pay any mind to the little dogs. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
