verifiedPosted Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (long coat). Adoption Fee: $499. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to email@example.com with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team I'm a sweet, but shy doodle boy! Date into Rescue: 7/7/2017 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release to a local shelter Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Heart worm positive. Kipper will be sent home with a 12 month supply of heart worm prevention. Please discuss the "slow kill method" with your veterinarian. Weight: 40 lb Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? Yes, he MUST have a privately fenced, large backyard space. He is a very energetic, young dog who needs his own space to run and burn off energy on a daily basis. Kipper loves, loves, loves zoomies. What doodle doesn't? What kind of home would be best for me? Kipper would flourish in a home with someone willing to socialize him and earn his trust. He is a handsome and clever doodle boy, but needs ton continue working on trusting new humans, trying new things, and reinforcing training/basic commands. He is already a good boy, but will be an amazing dog with a little time and patience. Kipper takes time to warm up to new people and situations, so he is not the kind of dog who will quickly share his personality or trust, but when he does form that bond with someone it will be a beautiful relationship. He has been great around other dogs, but has shown some prey drive around cats so NO cats. he would do best in a home with NO kids - they tend to scare him and could affect the progress he's been making while in our care. He does need to be in a home with another dog so they can help him continue to learn how to be a dog. And he must go to an experienced dog home - he is not a match for a first time dog owner. Notes from his foster mom: "Kipper is looking for his forever home! He is a labradoodle with some very definite needs. While at the rescue he would hide in the back of his crate. He is very timid and unsure of humans. This is probably a result of little to no socialization from his previous owners. If you go one way, he goes the other, although once relaxed you can approach to love and pet on him. Potential adopters must realize that Kipper is a work in progress. He needs a family that will love him for his quirky, goofy self and one that will work with him to continue the process of trusting the humans in his life. Leash walking is a work in progress. Another dog in the home about his size and age would be perfect, as he does take his cues from other dogs. He has made progress in his foster home, he loves to relax on the sofa and run, run, run, so a big, fenced yard would be a dream come true for him. While outside, he hasn’t learned to come when called but he does watch and imitate the behavior of his foster brothers and sisters. The discovery of toys has been a milestone to this sweet boy. He loves to play, just like a goofy kid. Water bowls should beware, as water is his best friend! Kip is doing well with house training and is a super intelligent dog." What is my personality like? Kipper was an owner release by his breeder with 2 other doodles. We don't know what his past holds. We don't know exactly why he is skittish. But we do know that he deserves a loving family and forever home. He is under socialized and will need help with learning how to be someone's beloved pet. How do I act when I first meet new people? Cautious, but warms up House trained? Kipper is doing great with his house training in his foster's home and will need to continue reinforcing it in a new home. Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Estimated birth date 7/5/2014 Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

Gus is solid black with wavy coat and docked tail. Gus has a LOT of energy and does great if he has another dog to run and play with. Gus has had puppy shots (one more set is needed), rabies vaccine, microchipped, and started on heartworm preventative. Email us for more information! firstname.lastname@example.org. WE ARE IN ABILENE, TEXAS. WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT OUR PETS, WE REQUIRE ADOPTERS MEET THE DOG TO MAKE SURE IT IS A GOOD FIT. NOTE: We are a rescue, the dogs are in foster homes. We have gotten to know the pet and our goal is to make the best match, between pet and people. PLEASE be aware, we do not adopt out to a home that has an animal which has not been spayed or neutered. verifiedPosted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed. Missy is a 10yo female labradoodle who is being surrendered by her owner in Memphis who's moving to an assisted living facility and cannot take Missy. Missy has been with her owner since she was a puppy so this is very hard for the family. Calm, mellow, low maintenance. Friendly, well-socialized, affectionate. Good with other dogs, has lived with another dog her whole life. Fine with cats and good with kids too! Housebroken and crate trained. Barks once to go outside. Obeys basic commands. Understands sit, stay, down, walk, shake, come. Even-tempered, easygoing and intelligent. Loves to be with people. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 75 pounds. AWESOME senior dog would enjoy a mature, settled household with leisurely walks, car rides and lots of lounging at your feet. Because Missy is a senior, her adoption fee is discounted.
