    Chester

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Labrador Retriever
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Shepherd. Please contact Paula (pjstoppler@msn.com) for more information about this pet. Chester's luck took a turn for the worst when he found himself at a high-kill shelter, with just days left to live. But his luck changed, he was taken into foster care, and then to rescue. And here you have Chester ! A handsome boy, about 7 years old, pedigree is unknown, but probably Shepherd/Lab. He loves kids and other dogs, just don't tempt him with cats & kittens. He's also a threat to chickens & rabbits and other small farm animals. He needs to be a City Dog, not a Farm Dog. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and microchipped. Isn't this handsome boy the one you've been looking for? He's ready to relocate! If you would like to complete our Adoption Application, please do so! Be sure to put the animal's name and ID number at the top of the application and save the document to your computer. Return the saved document to us at rpaws@hotmail.com or to the foster home (email is listed at the beginning of this biography) with the name of the animal in the subject line. Click here to download our Adoption Application. Please click on the PayPal button below to make a donation for the care of the animals. All donations are gratefully accepted and used for the animals; we have no paid staff.

    Hewey

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Labrador Retriever
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Hound (short coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Hewy- These babies are ready for a home and are all happy go lucky. Lets get them into a great home. We would love to see them in homes for the summer making new friends and having a good time! Hewey is a stunning black pup with some white markings. These guys all have natural ears and tail and an amazing personality. They are working on social skills and considering where they came from are doing amazing. They have been around dogs, cats, kids ect. They are lab mixes and super smart and love to have a good time. They all have their quirks but are silly happy puppies who want a good loving home. We adore these babies and think they are cute as can be! These guys came from a back yard breeder. Their mom was a lab mix and dad was a hound. Both were outside dogs who lived their lives on chains. The owners didn’t even know she was pregnant till she had already delivered puppies. These little ones were never given any socialization, shots, training, and had never been inside when we took them. They had been living outside, in a small pen. They were terrified when we first met them and had no training or socialization at all. The poor things were a mess and terrified. We have spent countless hours working on socialization, training, new things and introductions of everything we can think of and really feel like these guys will be awesome dogs now that they are off to the right start! The boys are all sweet as can be. They have their own personalities but are all doing well with dogs, cats, and kids. They are still learning basic skills, like we keep our feet on the ground and do not jump on kids, and how to take treats and cookies. They are still shy around new people at first but warm up great and love to play. They had never seen toys before they came to us. They are becoming amazing little doggy citizens and we adore them all. They will make someone amazing pets and family pets. They are amazing dogs. They have come so far and want nothing more then to be part of a family. We adore the little ones and they are growing so fast! The boys are all learning basic commands but they are babies and we do not expect them to be perfect at it. They are working on house breaking, crate training, and leash work. Some are doing great some are not as bright as the others. Our main focus has been working on socialization as that is what they were lacking and they are doing much better with that. They are learning how to be family pets and not just chained dogs. They are up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and will be required to be altered when they are old enough. No one has shown any health issues and seem to all be happy healthy babies. We are still feeding puppy food, since they are puppies. They are amazing babies looking for homes. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. MANY of our dogs come in with special needs or medical issues. These need to be resolved before going home. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!
