Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). MEET DYNO! Age: est 4-5 years Breed: Lab mix Sex: neutered male Weight: est 50- 55lbs Training: crate trained, does well with our routine in the house, he knows sit and eager to learn more Dynamite a/k/a Dyno is a white lab mix that was found on a lonesome dirt road. We named him Dynamite because he was underweight and told him Dynamite comes in small packages :). He grew into his big feet and weighs about 55lbs now. He is very handsome and has a wonderful personality. Dyno will make a wonderful companion for an active family with a fenced in yard. He loves to run and play, but don't let him fool you! He loves to cuddle, too :). He is about 4-5 years old, and is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He can be shy upon first meeting new people and takes just a little time to warm up. He is very playful and loving once he gets to know you! He loves toys and is very careful with his stuffed ones not to destroy them. Please message us for an adoption application for Dyno.

If you’re looking to adopt a dog and don’t know where to start, is an excellent source for information about adopting a dog and will connect you with hundreds of shelters across the US that have adoptable puppies and older dogs waiting for forever homes.
  1. Do your research – find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle – before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you’re about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don’t have time for potty training and obedience classes you’ll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies – It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don’t be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet.
  4. Start looking… Once you know what you’re looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can’t get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.

Posted Breed: Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Sage is a 2 year old beagle/mix. She is about 23lbs and needs to gain about 5-10lbs. She is now spayed and current on her vaccinations. Sage and her sister were found on a dirt road, and after weeks of listing with animal control and all over social media, it is apparent someone dumped these babies. Sage is shy at first, but that doesn't last for long. She warms up to be very friendly and affectionate. Sage does well with other dogs and children. She is leash and crate trained, and doing great with house training. She loves car rides. Sage can climb fences (but only does so to be by your side), so she does need to be an indoor pet and be apart of a family! If interested in adding Sage to your family, please message us for an adoption application!

Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Meet Sesko! Sesko is a 5 year old pit bull/lab mix. He loves attention and everyone he meets! Sesko does well with all of the dogs in his foster home which consist of small and large dogs. He does best with dogs who are not dominating. He also does well with cats, he just ignores them. He is a live and let live kind of guy. He loves to cuddle. He is crate trained, and does great in the house on our routine. Sesko is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Sesko is laid back and affectionate, but also has a playful side! He loves toys! He is quiet and not a big barker! Sesko's history: Sesko has quite the history. He was born here and was adopted. Twice. First adoption failed through no fault of his own. His owners were going through a hard time and had to move and their new place would not allow pit bulls/mixes. The second adoption, we thought was going great. Until one night, I was scrolling through FB at midnight and happened upon a shelter's album of dogs who needed rescue. And there he was. They were calling him Gabe and his last day was that day...and here it was midnight. We were contacting everyone we could at such hours and my heart was breaking and we were worried sick. We finally heard back and he was ALIVE! We scheduled to pick him up the next day and left work early to make sure we got there in time. We were reunited with lots of tears but we were SO thankful he was alive! This was almost a year ago, and we have yet to hear from his "adopters" with numerous failed attempts. Sesko deserves a loving, forever home...could that home be yours? If interested in adopting, please visit our website at
