    Tanner

    rescue
    Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Tanner is a super cute male Corgi Mix. His estimated DOB is 3/14/15. He came to us as a transfer from another shelter and his weight at intake was 27.2 Ibs. This cutie is timid around new surroundings and people, but give him a moment to get to know you and he'll be your best friend. Tanner would love to find a home where his new family can help him be more comfortable on a leash and to show him that doorways aren't that scary.  He arrived with another dog and has been sharing a kennel, but if you have another pup it's always a good idea to bring them along for a meet and greet.  Tanner is here waiting for you, his forever family. His adoption fee is $150 and includes sterilization, age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, heartworm test and microchip.  Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. As we get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.  All PPAS puppies and dogs are up to date on all of their vaccines (including rabies if age appropriate), and will be micro chipped and registered in the adopter's name at the time of adoption. Adopters get a free consultation at an area vet partner within 14 days of adoption. Any dog that is six months of age or older will be tested for Heartworms and if found negative, will be kept on Heartworm prevention during their shelter stay, after the adoption it is up to the adopter to continue the highly recommended Heartworm preventative treatment. Also all PPAS shelter dogs are treated with a monthly topical flea/tick preventative and we ask that adopters continue that treatment as well. Per state law we sterilize all shelter pets before they begin their new fabulous lives with their new families.  The shelter is open to the public: Mon, Wed, Thurs 11-6 and Sat 11-4. If you are interested in this dog or puppy, please either email Prairie Paws Animal Shelter at info@prairiepaws.org, for an application visit our website @ prairiepaws.org or call 785.242.2967 for more information.  Prairie Paws Animal Shelter  3173 HWY K68  Ottawa, KS 66067  785-242-2967  www.Prairiepaws.org  See Our Adoptable Pets at: prairiepawsanimalshelter.petfinder.com  Email: info@prairiepaws.org  Like Us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/prairiepawsanimalshelter  Twitter: https://twitter.com/PrairiePaws2010  Instagram:prairiepawsanimalshelter  Hours: Mon / Wed / Thurs - 11am-6pm Saturday 11am -4pm  Closed: Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday  Closed On The Following Holidays:  New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day  The phones are answered as early as 8am on any open day if you have questions or if you would like to place a hold on an animal.  Here's the scoop on the adoption process:  Placing a Hold: A hold may be placed on an animal for $20.00 a day up to 3 business days ($60.00 max). The hold fee is non-refundable and does not go towards the adoption fee. We encourage you to utilize the hold system if you are interested in a certain pet. A credit card number may be given over the phone or the fee paid at the shelter to ensure the pet you are interested in is available for a meet and greet. Placing the animal on hold makes it so others cannot have a meet and greet with the animal until the hold expires. Holds are on a first call/come first serve basis. You must call or come in, holds cannot be put down via email. You may call the shelter as early as 8am on any open day to place a hold.  In person meet and greet: Potential adopters must come and meet the animal before an adoption can take place. We cannot do over the phone sight unseen adoptions. Business hours vary and are listed on our website (www.prairiepaws.org) or at end of our email correspondence. If you have other animals you would like to bring to the meet and greet we encourage you to do so. We have outdoor enclosures and trained kennel staff will assist with all meet and greets. All family members, including children, are encouraged to attend the meet and greet.  Adoption Questionnaire: Potential adopters will need to fill out the adoption questionnaire. Adoption questionnaires are available on our website or at the meet and greet. Once complete, an Adoption Counselor will review the questionnaire with the potential adopter and will have a discussion to ask and/or answer any additional questions. From there, the adoption counselor will print and review all appropriate paperwork with the adopter to provide important and and educational information regarding the animal.  Adoption fees: Adoption fees must be paid in full at time of adoption – no partial payments are accepted. Cash, Check or all major credit cards are accepted. Adoption fees vary. Please note if you live in the city of Ottawa a dog license fee must also be paid at time of adoption. Annual renewal of dog licenses is required between January 1st and February 15th.  Taking your animal home: The State of Kansas requires that all cats and dogs must be sterilized (spayed/neutered) before going to their new homes. In most cases animals will have already been sterilized before being placed on the adoption floor and you will be able to take your new companion home with you the day of adoption. However, if the animal is not yet sterilized, they will need to stay at the shelter and we will schedule the surgery on the next available date (usually within a week). We do request that all dogs go home with a collar/leash, so if you have one please bring it along or we do have a great selection available in our retail area.  The shelter is open to the public: Mon, Wed, Thurs 11-6 and Sat 11-4. If you are interested in this pet, please either email Prairie Paws Animal Shelter at info@prairiepaws.org, for an application visit our website @ prairiepaws.org or call 785.242.2967 for more information.  Prairie Paws Animal Shelter  3173 HWY K68  Ottawa, KS 66067  785-242-2967  prairiepaws.org  Hours: Mon / Wed / Thurs - 11am - 6pm / Saturday 11am - 4pm  Closed: Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday

Posted Breed: Corgi / Shepherd. Roscoe is a bouncy boy with lots of energy to go around. He is shy at first, but quickly warms up and is a lover. Roscoe is looking for a family to take him on long walks. We treated Roscoe for heartworms, and his treatments are all complete. Roscoe is just over 2 1/2 years old, and is low to the ground with a look similar to a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. He came to us when his owner could no longer keep him.

    Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Corgi / Shepherd (short coat). Adoption Fee: $200. Curious Cleo Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 6/3/2017 Reason for being in rescue: Stray, rural shelter Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? none noted. Weight: 19.3 lbs Height: 13" at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No, I can walk on a leash with encouragement. What kind of home would be best for me? Can you take me on walks to discover new places? and let me curl up on your lap and give you kisses? That sounds like the perfect home to me! What is my personality like? Just call me Curious Cleo. I have to figure everything out and I am extremely inquisitive. I'd make a great detective! When taking me to new places you will notice that I will scope out any and everything near me. I really enjoy it! I would love to have a human to explore new places with. Seeing new places is exciting but without a family of my own to do so with it doesn't really add up to the life I would love. I love to give kisses when I am done snooping around. I will gladly sit next to you on the couch and watch our favorite tv shows. You will never see me in a bad mood, I am always ready to take on anything with a wagging tail. Take me home! How do I act when I first meet new people? I'm a little shy, but I will warm up to you. More tips and tidbits: I was found as a stray in another state and taken to a rural shelter where It was dark, cold, and scary. Luckily I was rescued. I have a long body and semi erect ears so everyone thinks I'm a little Corgi mix. I love treats but I need practice on basic commands. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Estimated birth date 10/22/2015 Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

    Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Corgi. Carter, a male 3 year old corgi mix, weighing in at about 26 lbs. has a face that makes everyone smile. This sweetheart has a great personality and best of all is motivated by food so he's easy to train. Carter enjoys playing with his foster sibling and has done well on play dates with other kids. He also really loves the human kids at his foster home. To top it off, this love is great in the car and even with his short legs he jumps right in ready to be your errand buddy, and since he is a total social butterfly, he charms everyone he meets. Carter is housebroken when kept on a schedule, and is crate trained. Don't you just want this little angel for your family? Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (www.anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible, organization. We are an all volunteer group, so after submitting your application, if you don't hear back from us within a few days, please e-mail us at adoption@anewchancear.org. Be sure to read about the adoption process (http://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) on our website, so you'll know what to expect and fill out all fields on the adoption application (http://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) or we won't be able to process it. We are a foster-based rescue and do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. Please do not contact us requesting a meeting with a dog because we are an all-volunteer organization, and these requests tie up our volunteers who could instead be checking applications. As you can imagine, we are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (http://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We do not have a shelter facility and we provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide whatever follow up care is necessary while they are in foster care. All of this is very expensive and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (http://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through your kindness and that of supporters like you that we are "changing lives...one tail at a time" by providing our dogs with "A New Chance." (www.anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Corgi / Chihuahua (short coat). Please contact Kelly (lostangelsanimalrescue04@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. My name is Gilligan, but my foster parents call me Gilly. I am approx 1 year old and 12 pounds. I was rescued from a dangerous, terrifying parking lot where I was abandoned by people who didn't love me. I'm still a bit nervous and shy when I first meet new people, but once I know I can trust them, my true personality shines through. My foster dad says I'm a charming and goofy boy. I love running and playing and have lots of energy! But I love snuggling with people, too. My foster mom says I'm a love bug. I would really like to find a forever family who will play with me and take me for walks and love me as much as I will love them. I would prefer a home without children as I am better with adults. I get a bit nervous when there is to much going on. I am neutered, up to date on all my shots including rabies, heart worm tested (neg), micro chipped, de wormed for intestinal parasites, currently on a heart worm and flea preventative. My adoption donation is $200.00. If you would like to learn more about me go online and email lostangelsanimalrescue04@yahoo.com or www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org and submit an application on line.
