    Princess Mia...

    rescue
    Breed: Rat-Cha
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Rat Terrier / Mixed. Mia is a Princess now that she is in our loving care after facing a few years of neglect and making babies. Mia will be spayed, micro chipped and up to date on all vaccinations at the time of adoption. She is dog, cat and older kid only friendly and loves being held. We ask for only older kids in the home as she does come from a unknown back round and loud noises and quick movements make her unsettled.

Posted Breed: Rat Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed. Surrendered by her former owner, Tink is an adorable girl full of life! She is great with other dogs and people as well, big and small. More photos coming but there's no much we can tell you about her except she's a great little dog!!! Loves to play inside and outside with her foster sisters (loves Rosie). She has the biggest set of ears for such a small dog. She needs a bit more house training but uses pee pads. Name- Tinkerbell Sex- Female Breed- Rat Terrier X Age- 6 months (born 3/12/2017) Weight - 12 lbs. Vaccinations- Up to date - Heartworms- Negative at resting 8/2017 Microchipped- Yes BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Dogs- yes, she plays with large and small dogs from great danes to T cup poodles. Cats- has not been around any. Kids- yes, loves my 6 year old grandson. Any age will be fine. She is still learning not to jump on them. Adoption Donation: 450.00 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in a specific dog, please fill out an application if you are interested in a dog. The number of individual inquiries is overwhelming and we are finding it difficult to respond to each one. We cannot guarantee you will receive a timely response. Paws New England is a rescue, not a shelter, and as such we do not have our dogs housed in one location - they are in foster homes both in New England and in our southern foster homes. If you're interested in a specific dog, please complete a short online application and you will receive a reply within 48 hours so you can ask questions. At present, if a dog is listed on our website, the dog is considered still available HOWEVER, may have applications that have come in before yours but it's still too early to know if any are a good match; therefore we encourage you to apply. NOTICE WITH REGARD TO LOCATION OF DOGS: Please note: Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a brick and mortar building to house the dogs we rescue. We have found that dogs in foster homes are much more adoptable because they have been observed in a home setting. Dogs listed with Paws New England typically reside in various locations throughout the south (primarily Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas) and New England (not necessarily in the state of Rhode Island). You will be notified by the adoption coordinator of the location of the dog you are interested in so you have the ability to decide whether to pursue adoption or not. Dogs transported to New England are done so at a fee of $150.00 paid directly to the transporting company by Paws New England; no additional transport costs are responsibility of adopter. This fee is included in the adoption donation. Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your dog will help others in need. All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history. Paws New England abides by the dog importation regulations set forth in the states of MA, CT, NH and RI.

Posted Breed: Rat Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed. Found A Peanut ended up at one of our shelter partners after being found as a stray. He was neglected and in desperate need of TLC. Peanut was found to have a tumor on his back that needed removed along with multiple rotted teeth. He also was found to have an old leg injury. After a thorough vetting and surgery he is now on the mend and doing well! He will need soft food and arthritis meds for the rest of his life but he gets around great and is still very spunky! Peanut is a little guy, and as such, he’s a little skittish of noises and a little cautious of big things, especially new people. But a new person willing to get down to his level, hold out a hand, and wait for him to come will be richly rewarded. And also clean, as Peanut is a licker! He loves ear rubs and will curl up quietly next to you while you watch TV or read a book. He likes to run when he first goes outside, but that doesn’t last long. He enjoys a short walk around the block to give his sniffer a workout. He is currently living with 3 big dogs – 2 males and 1 female, also seniors, and also relatively low energy. He likes them just fine, but doesn’t seek them out except to lick them! Given a choice, he’s going to hang with his person, but he’s perfectly content hanging with the dogs. Peanut’s ideal forever family loves senior dogs and is a low key environment that can’t wait to give a homeless senior the best of his life! Name: Found A Peanut Breed: Chihuahua/rat terrier mix Sex: Male Age: Approximately 12 years old Weight: 18 pounds Spayed/Neutered: Yes Vaccinations: Up to date Heartworm: Negative Microchipped: Will be before adoption BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Unknown. Based on personality we think he will do fine with older children. Good with Dogs: Yes- gets along well with calm dogs Good with Cats: Unknown- based on personality would be fine with cats. Adoption Donation: $200 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in a specific dog, please fill out an application if you are interested in a dog. ELDORA

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Rat-Cha
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Rat Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hello, world! My name is Eldora and I''m a sweet, playful 7-month-old Rat terrier/Chihuahua little girl. I have soulful brown eyes and the perkiest ears, and I loooooove to play with squeaky toys! I''m affectionate once I get to know you, but I am very shy around new people and new situations. For that reason, I should go to a forever home with adults only. My new home should have a friendly, confident dog who can help teach me the ropes, or humans who are dog-experienced and are home most of the time. I''ve never lived with a kitty before. I was brought to the shelter from a home where I lived with lots of other dogs, but didn''t get out much, so I need to learn doggie interaction skills and gain confidence. That''s why the staff here recommends that I go to Beginners Obedience classes with my new person or people - and the cost of those classes is included in my adoption fee! Plus, that would be a great way for us to bond. Do I sound like a good match for you? Please come meet me today! Don''t forget the squeaky toys! **If you would like more information about this animal you are welcome to email adoption@mspca.org. We receive a large number of inquiries daily and we do our best to respond to each inquiry as soon as possible! In the meantime, please feel free to stop by the adoption center to meet our animals during our open hours of Tuesday-Friday 1pm-5pm or weekends 11am-4pm. You do not need an appointment. For more information on our adoption process, please visit www.mspca.org/bostonadoptionprocess.

Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Rat Terrier / Mixed. Look at those ears! say hello to Baby Girl, or BG as her foster calls her. BG is an approx. 1 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. She is a spunky girl & can be a little unsure of strangers, but give her a little time & she warms right up! She loves to zoom around the house with her favorite squeaky toys. She loves to cuddle & enjoys going for walks, hikes & car rides! She does well with other dogs, both big & small, as well as cats. She knows sit, down & is making progress with house training. Baby Girl is still very much a puppy and will need some help learning what is appropriate to chew. If you have room in your heart for this precious pup to wiggle her way into, please complete an application at www.caws.org! If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application
