Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Rottweiler / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 300. Name: Rogue (AKA Zeena) DOB: 3/15/2014 Weight:60lbs Adoption Fee: $300 Hello! I am Rogue. I am adjusting to my new foster home pretty well. I spent some time all by self so I need to feel safe with my own space to feel more comfortable. I am nervous but excited to meet new people, it take me a little time to warm up to people because you see I am deaf. My foster brother, were buddies so he took me for a walk and a butterfly scared me so I jump! I do pretty good on my walks and like to sleep in my kennel, I do better when its covered some so I feel safe. I know my foster family likes having me around, they give me time to try and understand what they are trying teach me and and my foster brother is trying to teach me more sign language. It takes me some extra time to learn and he is patient with me. Everyone here is trying to get me to understand what toys are for, I don't quite understand what there for yet but I am sure I will figure it out. They are happy to help me along the way to get me confident with my self and surroundings. I have spent some time with my foster family now, I am so excited to be around people sometimes I knock things down. So I would love to be around older kids so if I run into them I won't hurt them. I am getting used to having play time outside and being able to go on walks. I like being out side but I love cuddling with my foster family a lot. Once I realize the aren't leaving a cuddle right up with them on the couch or the chair. My family lets me have my kennel time when I want it, they even covered it for me. I sleep better that way :) If you are interested in me, please fill out an adoption application at www.ruffstartrescue.org. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal. Once we receive your application, a placement coordinator will be in contact with you as soon as possible. Please check out our website, www.ruffstartrescue.org for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals! Dixie Rose

    rescue
    Breed: Rottweiler-American Pit Bull Terrier
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Rottweiler / Mixed. Everyone who meets Dixie falls in love. She is one of the sweetest, most sensitive, loving dogs you could hope to meet. She's so happy all the time, and even though she's currently residing in an indoor kennel, she has made the best of it. Just seeing her foster mom come through the door brings out her bubbling personality and she jumps up and down with excitement while she waits for her turn for daily one-on-one time. After a chest massage, having he ears rubbed, and giving lots of sweet kisses, she's ready for dinner or a snack. Her favorite past time is to lay in her bed and watch what’s going on around her. Dixie's ideal home would include: an affectionate human, someone to take her for walks, toys to call her own, lots of treats, and a plastic crate with a fluffy bed inside to sleep in (she prefers to sleep in a crate). Dixie does not like to be outside alone so a fenced yard is not required, however, during nice weather she would enjoy a fenced yard with a doggy door for quick potty breaks. Dixie would do best in a quiet home until she is confident in her surroundings Dixie is still anxious around new dogs due to her background. She has successfully played with several non-dominant dogs in her foster home but she needs slow introduction. Ideally, Dixie would prefer to be the only dog or have only one other canine sibling. Background: Dixie, and another pup, were abandoned at a house in Midtown Memphis by a college student who moved away. During her homeless time, Dixie and her canine friend were attacked by a pack of dogs. Her friend didn’t make it but Dixie was rescued in time and with proper veterinary care she made a full recovery. Although she was defensive and anxious around other dogs when first rescued, she has made tremendous progress and with slow and proper introductions she enjoys playing, chasing, running, and wrestling with some other dogs. Dixie does not enjoy rough play with people. Although we have not had her with small children, we believe Dixie is best suited for a home with older children. Dixie has so much love to give and can’t wait to find a home to call her own. Check out her video! www.facebook.com/deborah.h.testa?fref=nf&pnref=story.unseen-section Name: Dixie Rose Sex: Female Breed: Pit bull, Rottweiler Mix Age: Approx 3 years old Weight: Approx 46 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Vaccinations: Up to date Heartworm: Negative as of 8/12/17 Microchipped: Yes BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Dogs: Dixie will do well with non dominant dogs of both sexes after slow/ proper introductions Cats: No Kids: Would do best in a home without small children Adoption Donation: $200 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in a specific dog, please fill out an application if you are interested in a dog. The number of individual inquiries is overwhelming and we are finding it difficult to respond to each one. We cannot guarantee you will receive a timely response. Paws New England is a rescue, not a shelter, and as such we do not have our dogs housed in one location - they are in foster homes both in New England and in our southern foster homes. If you're interested in a specific dog, please complete a short online application and you will receive a reply within 48 hours so you can ask questions. At present, if a dog is listed on our website, the dog is considered still available HOWEVER, may have applications that have come in before yours but it's still too early to know if any are a good match; therefore we encourage you to apply. NOTICE WITH REGARD TO LOCATION OF DOGS: Please note: Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a brick and mortar building to house the dogs we rescue. We have found that dogs in foster homes are much more adoptable because they have been observed in a home setting. Dogs listed with Paws New England typically reside in various locations throughout the south (primarily Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas) and New England (not necessarily in the state of Rhode Island). You will be notified by the adoption coordinator of the location of the dog you are interested in so you have the ability to decide whether to pursue adoption or not. Dogs transported to New England are done so at a fee of $150.00 paid directly to the transporting company by Paws New England; no additional transport costs are responsibility of adopter. This fee is included in the adoption donation. Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your dog will help others in need. All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history. Paws New England abides by the dog importation regulations set forth in the states of MA, CT, NH and RI.

He thinks he is a lap dog, and is more likely to submit to belly rubs from strangers than ever be aggressive. He has never had an accident in the house, and has never been aggressive towards a human being. Upon returning from work, I discovered that my children are deathly allergic to Kaiser, and therefore I cannot keep him. He would be in heaven in a home with a big yard, and for people to love on him. It truly breaks my heart to part with him. Please consider a donation to PBRC. Your donations make a difference to countless dogs through spay/neuter, educating the public, promoting a positive image and finding them permanent homes. Donate : http://www.pbrc.net/donate.html

    Breed: Rottweiler-American Pit Bull Terrier
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Rottweiler / Mixed (short coat). Please contact Adopt-A-Dog Shelter (adoptions@adoptadog.org), (914) 273-1674 for more information about this pet. Meet Roxie! Roxie is a lovable girl who enjoys doing anything and everything! She has lived a very sheltered life, but she is excited to explore everything the world has to offer with a new family! Roxie was a puppy bought from a backyard breeder to a family that had never owned a dog before. They didn't know much about caring for a dog. They did not exercise, play with, train, or even feed her properly, so when she arrived at Adopt-A-Dog she was skinny, full of pent up energy, and very jumpy. She didn't even know how to play with toys! In just a few weeks of consistent training, Roxie is already showing a huge improvement in her behavior! She is not jumping as much and is taking very well to basic obedience training. She is still working on learning to walk better on leash, but we have even seen improvement with that as well! She has learned how to play with toys and now gets regular exercise which helps her to relax throughout the rest of the day! Roxie would do best in an adult only home being the only pet. Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Rottweiler / Mixed (short coat). Please contact SSRR (Adoptions@southernstatesrescuedrottweilers.org) for more information about this pet. SSRR provides FREE transport to our approved adopters Are you looking for a loyal and true best friend, never too busy to cuddle? Meet Molly; a 6 yr. old female Rottweiler Mix who was abandoned at an animal shelter near Winston Salem, NC. Molly had been severely neglected; in addition to being sick with various illnesses, she was emaciated and heartworm positive. Molly’s time was up that day. Her condition and appearance made her unadoptable, and the shelter was out of room; sadly, she found herself first on “The List.” Molly was only hours from being euthanized when SSRR rescued her. Life has changed for this very sweet, loving girl. Molly loves being taken care of by her Foster Dad. He plays fetch with her, and she gets lots of love and attention. Her favorite position is cuddling while they watch ball games together... and she never talks during the kickoff or important plays!! Molly just loves hanging out with her human! Molly is a survivor! She has been treated for heartworms, spayed, and is now healthy and ready for her forever home and family. She is house-trained and crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Molly has been through so much at the hands of those she had trusted to take care of her; yet, she is very friendly to everyone and loves to give kisses. Despite her past, Molly still loves people and wants her very own family. This sweetheart will melt your heart the moment you meet her. If you want unconditional love, this little lady is your match. Molly does not do well with other dogs or cats. A 6 foot fenced yard is a requirement; no underground fencing. Special thanks to Amie Stubbs of Amiee Stubbs Photography for these wonderful photos of Molly. Please click on the image below to go to Amiee's website.
