My current weight is 28 pounds and I am micro-chipped, am heart-worm negative, have all my vaccinations, been spayed and once assigned to my foster home will be evaluated for 2 weeks by them. I came to SRC from a high kill facility where I was about to be euthanized. CHLOE HAS BEEN STOLEN FROM HER FOSTER HOME -- SHE IS MICRO-CHIPPED AND THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED. A REWARD IS OFFERED FOR HER SAFE RETURN -- NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED. She is a Tibetan Terrier who weighs 28 pounds. CHLOE is one year and 5 months old and now vetted. Now she will be prepared for adoption by a foster family who has gone thru our approval process. When ready for adoption after evaluation, this dog is heart-worm tested (negative), de-wormed, vaccinations brought up to date, spayed, micro-chipped, examined by a vet and any necessary medical issues found by this vet have been addressed. It is anticipated that this dog will be released for adoption by the same date as the completion of the Evaluation. The date of release is left to the discretion of the SRC Core Team. The Tibetan Terrier is a medium-size breed of dog that originated in Tibet. Despite its name, it is not a member of the terrier group. The breed was given its English name by European travelers due to its resemblance to known terrier breeds. Wikipedia Hypoallergenic: Yes Life span: 12 – 15 years Height: 14 – 16 in. Mass: 18 – 31 lbs Temperament: Reserved, Gentle, Amiable, Energetic, Affectionate, Sensitive Tibetan Terriers are wonderful family dogs but are best suited for homes with school-age children who know how to treat a dog properly. Tibetan Terriers generally do well with dogs and other pets, especially if they have been raised with them. The Tibetan Terrier requires frequent brushing and a bath at least once per month. Tibetan Terriers make great watchdogs and will bark when they see or hear anything unusual. If they get daily exercise, Tibetan Terriers can do well in apartments or condos. Tibetan Terriers thrive on human companionship and do best in homes where they get plenty of attention and aren't left alone for long periods. Barking is a favorite pastime for a Tibetan Terrier. He'll bark when people come to the door, when he sees or hears something unusual, or just out of boredom. Tibetan Terriers require daily exercise and will enjoy a couple of 15-minute walks or one longer walk. The Tibetan Terrier can be easy to train with positive reinforcement techniques such as praise, play, and food rewards. SRC does not ordinarily adopt its dogs to families with children under ten years of age. This is for the protection of the dogs and for the protection of the children.
