Airedale Terrier Puppy For Sale in FORNEY, TX, USA
Airedale Terrier Puppy Pure Bred Male, 7 months old. Registration paperwork ready to file. Has had first round of shots. Ozzy, Born May 9, 2019 $350 rehoming fee Crate trained, house-broken, very smart and loving, gets along great with other dogs. He chases our cats but just wants to play with them. Needs home w/ a fenced yard, preferably with another dog, also needs indoor time with humans, lots of attention, walks, activity, and exercise. He DEFINITELY needs an owner who has the resources to take him to the vet and groomer regularly, as well as feed him the specialized diet that he needs (usually 2/3 raw food, 1/3 high quality kibble). I’ve been working from home but have to return to full-time work in the city, so no longer have the time/resources to properly take care of him. PLEASE NOTE: Airedale Terrier‘s have a lot of energy! He got big really quick and he’s now a BIG STRONG puppy, about 35 lbs.& growing....Proper training will be essential for him right away so that he can be a functional part of your family. He jumps and nips quite a bit right now, treats everyone like they’re just another big puppy, especially the younger kids, unfortunately, and I haven’t had a lot of luck in leash training him. He stays in a gated area in the kitchen with little access to things he can chew or destroy, but he’s quite unruly if he’s anywhere else in the house. He’s not the least bit aggressive, but he is incredibly sensitive to the moods of everyone around him. If you’re angry, he will bark because he feels scared and defensive; if you’re loud or excited, he will instantly match your energy; if you run, he will run after you. Airedale Terriers are not known to be the alpha dogs; they are companions and followers. He’s the best camping, hunting, and garden companion; no fence around but he never leaves my side. I think it would be REALLY helpful to have an adept dog trainer. With proper training, there’s no reason why he couldn’t be the perfect family dog.
