Remey is a Female American Bulldog Dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Sacramento, CA. This very special Dog is 7 years old and weighs 85 pounds. She is fixed, up to date on shots, micro-chipped and house trained. Remey is good with children, and prefers to be the only pet in your home. Certainly the only dog would be a good idea as she has spent most of her life as an only dog in a home where there was always somebody to keep her company. This sweet 7 year old American Bulldog has been spayed, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped. She is house broken, well behaved, and about as affectionate and mindful a dog as you will find anywhere. She listens so well, and she is very good with children. Her face is very expressive, and she tends to look to her people with an eagerness to please and be praised. Remey recently lost both of her owners when her “Dad” passed away and her “Mom” went into assisted living. She is used to living with seniors, without other dogs or cats. She is a wonderful companion, and would be ideal for a retired or senior couple looking for a nice doggy housemate. For a retired couple or somebody who is working from home, she’d be an ideal companion and pet. She has been sharing her current home with another dog and she really misses being the only dog of the house. She longs to be with people who can spend all their family time with her. Out for a walk, playing in the yard or chillin’ on the couch, Remey loves her people time. She really enjoys her chew toys, so a little “alone time" too. Remey will be rehomed with all supplies and vet records. All you need to add is lots of love and a safe, happy and healthy home for this beautiful companion. Originally used in the 17th century for bull baiting—a wagering sport in which dogs fought bulls in a ring—Bulldogs had taller, more athletic frames (much like the Olde English Bulldogge). When bull baiting was outlawed in 1835, Bulldogs were bred to be kinder, heavier and more relaxed. However, American Bulldogs—which were brought to the U.S. before this breeding pattern—retained the size and strength of the original Bulldogs. Great family dogs, American Bulldogs are sweet to children. They love family-oriented occasions and want to be involved. With proper training and socialization, you’ll find them outgoing and exceedingly loyal. Some American Bulldogs will go to great lengths to protect their masters. Tough and determined, American Bulldogs have an impressive stamina and strength. They are always game for playtime in the back yard or working in the field.
