eople. He’s fantastic with children—including his foster’s one-year-old—and loves being part of the family, eagerly approaching with a gentle request for pets. Emmett adores his humans and enjoys following them around, always wanting to be close, and while he would do perfectly fine as an only dog, he absolutely LOVES having a canine buddy to play with. He’s a curious boy who gets excited on walks and may pull on the leash because he wants to explore every smell, and he might bark at first until he settles into the routine and feels secure. Emmett is a smart, well-mannered boy who already knows commands like “go to bed” and “go lay down,” and he sleeps peacefully in the living room alongside his doggy foster sibling. Emmett is truly an all-around good boy ready to bring love and companionship to his new home. Emmett is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 12/6/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 4:30pm and 8pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
