Description
Ayce is an adorable 10 week old German Shepherd Aussie mix puppy looking for a very special home in Lakewood WA, near Seattle Tacoma. Ayce is a smart and very cute pup. He is 10 weeks old and has already been house trained. Ayce is so cute. He is literally like a little furry baby. He loves his toys and treats. He is snuggly and sweet. His owners are an active military couple working very long hours. Because of this, they are unable to provide the care he needs for his health issue. We are looking for a permanent home for Ayce, but due to an impending deployment, a foster home would be fine until a permanent home can be located. Ayce just got diagnosed with megaesophagus where he is required to eat sitting upright and was recommended eating in a “bailey chair.” Megaesophagus is when a dog has an enlarged esophagus that doesn’t allow the food to properly be transported into his stomach like a normal dog. This was a genetic disorder and unfortunately if he is not sitting completely upright when he drinks or eats, he will regurgitate his food as his food will just stay in his esophagus if he does not consume his food at the correct position/angle. The vet also recommended that he stays in his eating position for another 30 minutes to allow the food to actually settle into his stomach.
