Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 450. Roco came to us with a bit of a tough exterior, but deep down, he’s just a scared little guy trying to figure out the world. He’s a bit skittish and can get defensive when he feels unsure, sometimes trying to intimidate people with low growls. But don't let that fool you - Roco is just nervous and really wants to play. Roco would do well in a home with another dog to help him build confidence. He tends to look to others for guidance, so having a buddy to show him the ropes would speed up his trust-building process. Roco is crate trained. When he’s in a mood, he might whine loudly, but with patience and understanding, he’ll come around. Despite his skittish nature, Roco has a playful side that comes out more and more as he starts to feel comfortable. He’s very cute when he tries to act like a big, tough dog, but underneath, he’s just a small pup trying to navigate a big, confusing world. Roco is ready to find his forever home where he can learn to trust everyone around him and be the loving, playful dog he’s meant to be. Roco is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/7/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5pm and 9pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
