MAX - MASTIFF / MIXED (MEDIUM COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Posted Breed: Mastiff / Mixed (medium coat). Hi everyone, I’m Max. I am a mastiff mix. My previous owner was unable to keep my sister and I so we came into rescue. They say that I’m a mastiff mix, but I’m not that tall. I’m kind of around a medium size dog. Due to the bulldog in me, I do drool a little. Especially, if I’m watching you eat and really, really want it. One thing that I am working on is that when I am given a treat, I don’t snap at it. Foster mom puts it in her hand and holds it out palm facing me with the thumb holding the treat. She also reminds me to be gentle when giving me treats. I am a very easy-going, fun-loving guy. I would make a great walking partner as I love to go outside and explore. I wear a gentle harness when I walk as I will pull through my collar. I do pull when I see a squirrel, rabbit, or other dog as I like to chase them. This being said, I would do well in a home without small animals; however, if they are in a cage, or I am not able to get to them, I am okay. I have done well with my two four legged foster brothers; however, a slow introduction will allow me to get used to them so we don’t have any issues. I attended an adoption event at the office and did great. I even played with the male dog and female dogs next to us as well as tried to play with the puppies in the kennel that were in front of us. I have finally mastered housebreaking and have had no accidents. I go in my kennel when my foster mom says kennel. I know how to sit, shake, lay down and kennel, and I am working on stay, leave it, and drop it. Once I pick up something, I usually don’t let go. When I hear someone outside I will bark a couple times just to let you know. I like to cuddle as well and get lots of belly rubs. I also love to give kisses. Did I mention that I am the best boy out there? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
