Posted Breed: Doberman Pinscher (short coat). Purebred Doberman Courtesy Post: Here is his bio: This is Floki. He’s 105 lbs of love and silliness. I love this big boy heart and soul but due to my daughter’s health problems we’ve had to move and can no longer keep him. Floki is playful, sweet and such a love bug! He has had abuse in his past and sometimes has issues with people touching his back end but loves being patted there when he’s playing. Floki has been living harmoniously with a female dobie and a female chihuahua. But he’s been attacked on two separate occasions by pit bulls so he has trust issues with other dogs now. On walks when another dog is going to pass I pull Floki to the side and put him in a sit/stay until the other dog has safely passed. Floki is very strong and can pull you down quickly if he gives chase. Floki is a velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be with his person and please her. Floki prefers females and a gentle but assertive, and I stress “assertive”, loving approach rather than harsh commands. He’s a great hiking and jogging partner. He loves car rides and trying to bite passing cars. His favorite thing is cuddling on the floor together, but he also thinks he’s a lap dog. Floki is very vocal and will hold a conversation with you. His size and his bark will deter any predators. He’s around 4 years old, has basic training and is crate trained. Absolutely no cats! Floki is a very special and unique dog. I prefer a dobie experienced handler but will consider the right person. We are determined to find Floki his perfect forever home so if for some reason it’s not the right fit for a potential adopter we would like him to come back to us so we can continue the search.
