  • Australian Shepherd-Unknown Mix Dog For Adoption in Conway, AR, USA

    Abigail

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Australian Shepherd-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Please contact Sharon Goff (sharonmg68yahoo) for more information about this pet. Abigail is a bit bigger than a typical Blue Heeler. Her foster mom was told that she was a heeler/shepherd mix. She is a stunning dog who is very friendly and playful. her estimated birth date is 4-1-15. She has gotten a bit chunky since these pictures were taken because she is not able to get enough exercise due to the fact that her foster mom has so many fosters. Abigail is listed as special needs because she has never been taught manners or worked with. She is a very strong girl who has never been taught to walk on a leash and will just circle around you. Her foster mom is a small woman in her 60's and Abigail is too much for her to handle. Abigail LOVES people and she LOVES treats! With the right person with patience, knowledge and time to train her, she could become a truly awesome dog. Abigail got along with the other free roaming dogs in the area where she came from. Her current playmates are a male pitbull mix and a female terrier mix. Abigail is around cats in her foster home and would love to play with them if she could. Her previous owners had small grandchildren who were afraid of her because she was so rambunctious. She probably would do well with older children who could play with her. Abigail is not able to be one of the "house dogs" because there is no room. So she spends her time in the backyard or in a crate on the puppy porch. Housetraining should not be a problem once she learns her new routine. She will only be adopted to someone who will make her an inside dog and part of the family - that is her dream! Abigail has been spayed and brought up-to-date on her vaccinations including rabies. She is heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. For more information on adopting Abigail, please contact Sharon at sharonmg68yahoo Abigail

    Breed: Pointer-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pointer / Mixed (short coat). Please contact Sharon Goff (sharonmg68@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. Ariel is a female white and tan pointer mix. Her estimated date of birth is 4-1-17. She weighs about 45#. She is listed as special needs because she has never been taught any manners or commands. Ariel is a strong, energetic girl and too much for her foster mom to handle. She will need someone who has the time, patience, understanding and knowledge to teach her. Ariel LOVES treats and she LOVES people so these traits will definitely be a huge help in her training. Another reason that Ariel is listed as special needs is that she is very prey driven and HATES small dogs and cats. She was found as a stray at a large truck stop. The people that found herhad her on a chain in their yard and their small dogs and cats were allowed to run loose. Perhaps their parading around her caused her hatred but she will kill them if she can get to them. The third reason that Ariel is listed as special needs is because she is heartworm positive. She has been started on heartworm treatment and her new owners will need to continue this treatment until she tests negative. Ariel has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations, including rabies. For more information on Ariel, please contact Sharon at sharonmg68@yahoo.com
