  • Australian Shepherd-Unknown Mix Dog For Adoption in Conway, AR, USA

    Abigail

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Australian Shepherd-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Please contact Sharon Goff (sharonmg68yahoo) for more information about this pet. Abigail is a bit bigger than a typical Blue Heeler. Her foster mom was told that she was a heeler/shepherd mix. She is a stunning dog who is very friendly and playful. her estimated birth date is 4-1-15. She has gotten a bit chunky (around 60#) since these pictures were taken because she is not able to get enough exercise due to the fact that her foster mom has so many fosters. Abigail is listed as special needs because she has never been taught manners or worked with. She is a very strong girl who has never been taught to walk on a leash. Abigail LOVES people and she LOVES treats! With the right person with patience, knowledge and time to train her, she could become a truly awesome dog. Abigail is an alpha dog and will bully a submissive dog and will challenge another alpha dog. She probably would do best as an only dog unless she is adopted by a very experienced dog handler. She has gotten along with other dogs in the past who did not cower from her or challenge her so she could be with other dogs of the right temperament. Abigail is curious about her foster mom's cats but not allowed to play with them. She should be watched closely if she goes to a home with cats. Abigail is way too strong and energetic to be around children. Abigail is not able to be one of the "house dogs" because there is no room. So she spends her time in the backyard or in a crate on the puppy porch. Housetraining should not be a problem once she learns her new routine. She will only be adopted to someone who will make her an inside dog and part of the family - that is her dream! Abigail has been spayed and brought up-to-date on her vaccinations including rabies. She is heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. For more information on adopting Abigail, please contact Sharon at sharonmg68yahoo Abigail

    Breed: Pointer-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pointer / Mixed (short coat). Please contact Sharon Goff (sharonmg68yahoo) for more information about this pet. FREE TO APPROVED ADOPTER! Ariel is a female white and tan pointer mix. Her estimated date of birth is 4-1-17. She weighs about 45#. She is listed as special needs because she has never been taught any manners or commands. Ariel is a strong, energetic girl and too much for her foster mom to handle. She will need someone who has the time, patience, understanding and knowledge to teach her. Ariel LOVES treats and she LOVES people so these traits will definitely be a huge help in her training. Ariel is very prey driven and HATES small dogs and cats. She has played with her foster mom's pit bull but, otherwise, has not been around other dogs.. Ariel probably should be an only dog unless she is adopted by a very experienced dog handler. Ariel is way too rambunctious to be round children. The third reason that Ariel is listed as special needs is because she is heartworm positive. She has been started on heartworm treatment (doxycycline daily given every other month). Ariel will come with a six-month supply of doxycycline when adopted. Ariel has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations, including rabies. For more information on Ariel, please contact Sharon at sharonmg68yahoo
