    Chloe

    rescue
    Breed: Collie
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Collie (medium coat). To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit .almosthomeohio and complete our online application! Please note: Dogs posted here may be just some of the AHDRO dogs that are currently ready for adoption. We match dogs with a suitable home/family – so available dogs may already have a potential match. In addition, since we are always rescuing dogs, there are often dogs not yet posted. We allow them time to settle in with their foster home in order to evaluate their health and personality. Chloe is being fostered in Ohio. Chloe is a young collie (will be 1 year old in May) who has a typical “not quite adult” personality. She is playful and sweet but still has puppy energy and enthusiasm. That’s not to say she is too busy to notice her people. She is always affectionate and happy to lay by a human who has come down to her level on the floor. She is most active in the morning, eager to explore her fairly new foster surroundings but by lunch time she is laying down while the family is eating and by evening more mellow and is content to be just hang out with her while the foster family watches tv. She knows the commands come, no, leave it and down, but at times her puppy interest in whatever is going on does results in ignoring a request. The fosters believe that will change to a more consistent response as she matures. She is curious and even mischievous. She loves all she meets, both humans and dogs, but does needs to be reminded not to show her enthusiasm for people by jumping up, even with children. The fosters are working on that behavior. She is house trained with a routine of going outside 4 times a day. She loves her walks on a leash. Chloe, due to her young age, is crated when the family is gone and needs some typical monitoring while they are home. So far only the garage door opening noise has frightened her. She seemed to be cautious at first when she heard noises like chimes and the garbage disposal but now takes those household noises in stride. She has a wonderful, sweet disposition, and is intelligent, warm and sociable. The adoption fee for Chole is $450. Chloe is being fostered in Columbus, Ohio. Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie (medium coat). Adora Hannah is a 4 mth old double merle sheltie, which means she is blind and deaf. Adora is all puppy and learning the basics of family life through touch training. She gets along with dogs, however she can’t see or hear their body language or growls when they are done playing so she will need to always be supervised while interacting with dog friends. There isn’t a person she doesn’t call friend, she is very sweet. She is very active, as puppies are, and curious about everything around her. She will map out her areas and gets along very well. She is crate trained, however she will always need a safe gated area when left alone. Adora Hannah will need a fenced yard. It will help her map out her yard and run and play like a normal dog in a safe enclosed area. Adora will need someone who is willing to learn what she will need in her future, continue her touch training and treat her like a sheltie rather then a specially abled dog. With some training and lots of love, Adora Hannah will thrive with her forever family! The adoption fee for Adora is $450. Adora Hannah is being fostered in Michigan.
