Posted Breed: Golden Retriever (long coat). Placed. Mitch is spoken for. If you are interested in a companion like Steele, please visit our webpage at .arizonagoldenrescue/ and complete an Online Adoption Application to begin the process Mitch is a 9 - 10 year old Golden Retriever. Mitch is a handsome guy. Mitch is crate trained, dog friendly and very affectionate. Mitch's foster family has this to say; "Mitch loves relaxing on his pillow and watching TV. He is very smart and will sit and shake before eating his treats. He loves people, other dogs and their stuffed playmates. He enjoys being your companion; watching you get ready in the morning and following you around the house while you vacuum. When you come home and call his name he will run to greet you. He is a great dog, loyal and definitely a member of your family and doesn't act like his age of 9. Fostering Mitch is a blessing!" Mitch is known to be a counter surfer. His thyroid levels tested high which may account for his appetite. His medicine has been adjusted but caution is advised to keep food out of his reach. Prior to adoption, all AGR dogs are given a full vet exam, including valley fever and heartworm tests, brought up to date on all vaccinations, given a microchip, neutered or spayed, and treated for any medical problems.

    Breed: French Mastiff-Golden Retriever Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever / French Mastiff / Mixed (long coat). Gordon is a handsome, 6 year old Golden mix. He is a lovable, big boy but at 95 pounds he is strong and often exuberant on walks. Gordon is generally friendly, but can be cautious if approached too abruptly in his personal space. He is good meeting well behaved, social dogs but can be reactive to other dogs that are not under control or too in his face. Placement requirements are: Gordon needs to be an only dog with an active family capable and willing to work with him to reinforce leash manners and give him the exercise and security he requires to be the perfect companion. A home with older children only (16 +) as Gordon does not like to feel “confined or restricted” by hugging, too much petting or assertiveness. AGR paid for training and he learned basic commands. Gordon’s a smart boy and learned sit, stay, down, leave it and is very responsive to treats. He’s house trained and uses a doggy door. If you believe you are the special family meant for Gordon, please visit our webpage at .arizonagoldenrescue/ and complete an Online Adoption Application to begin the process, or send an e-mail to infoarizonagoldenrescue if you have questions and wish to be contacted. Prior to adoption, all AGR dogs are given a full vet exam, including valley fever and heartworm tests, brought up to date on all vaccinations, given a microchip, neutered or spayed, and treated for any medical problems. Gordon came to us from the Bisbee animal shelter. We took him to our vet specialists where he was neutered and successful entropian surgery was performed to correct a condition where the eyelids roll inward and rub against the corneas causing tearing and a great deal of discomfort.
