  • Red Heeler-Unknown Mix Dog For Adoption in Livonia, MI, USA

    Sunshine ♥...

    Breed: Red Heeler-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Red Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 285. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Sunny was adopted in Oct 2013 and returned to us through no fault of her own. Sunny is with her original foster and is a happy girl. She lives with large dogs, cats, knows several commands, rides around in the truck, sleeps on the bed. She likes to snuggle and hang out with us. Heelers can have a tendency to herd small children (we have not seen this). For this reason Sunny would do best with children 12 yrs and older. She would do best not in an apartment or large concentrated areas like dog parks etc. Sunny's perfect home is one where her person is around most of the time. She loves to putter in the yard, go run errands, basically do whatever her foster does (velcro dog). She is fine with or without another friendly dog. Sunny is a medium energy dog, would not want to go on long walks or runs. Sunny would be a wonderful companion for the right person or family. For more info contact Denise at deemwordengmail. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.

She came to us with 2 fractures in her leg that are now healing. It causes her leg to be a bit bowed out. But she doesnt seem to mind much. She runs, jumps, plays just fine. She loves to wrestle with other dogs and play with her toys and bones. She is learning all the rules that puppies need to learn, since it seems she never had anyone teach her the basics. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. This is Wayne, aka Luke, and I believe he is a Yellow Lab mixed with Shar Pei due to the fact that he has a head full of wrinkles. :-) Wayne is a very nice boy who loves to be near his people. He may need a few days to get comfortable but once that happens, he is a real sweetheart. Wayne is potty trained as well. He is playful and likes to run around in the yard with other dogs but settles nicely once inside. Wayne is a medium sized boy making him the perfect fit in most any living situation. He travels well in the car and enjoys to go for walks but does pull a bit. I believe he would do best in a home without kids. Wayne is a good boy and will make someone very happy but we do feel that he would be best with an experienced owner. Thank you and have a good day. I have really come out of my shell in my foster home and I am a very high energy pup that loves to play, especially with my doggie foster sister. I also LOVE people and if you show me some affection, I will follow you wherever you go! I like cuddling on the couch the best when I am tired from playing, but I am also content to curl up on the floor at your feet. I am still young, so I need work more on my manners, but I am house-trained and crate-trained now that I am comfortable in my foster home. My foster mom says that I am the sweetest girl and my whole body wiggles all over when I am happy! Won’t you consider giving me a forever home? If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi! My given name is Serafina, but I respond to Jada. My momma calls me little Jay. When I came to Last Day Dog Rescue, I was only a puppy and didn't have a lot of fur (someone told me I had something called mange???). But know I'm a little older, and I think my fur looks super pretty! I LOVE to play with toys, preferably the pink and squeaky ones. My favorite games to play are tug of war and fetch. You may have to wrestle the ball out of my mouth, but that's how you play the game, right? I also know some human words like sit, stay, shake, and lie down. I'm always up for a walk, but I'm still young and working on my manners. If another dog walks by, I might bark and try to pull at the leash. But I'm small, and my momma can usually pull me away. Truth is, other dogs make me nervous and I'd love to be in a home all by myself. When I am not on land, I LOVE to play in the water. I have been known to jump into the bathtub or the shower with my human friends! Although I really love to play with you, I love to snuggle with you just as much. I usually sit on my mommy's lap when she is watching that thing with the flashy screen. At night, I curl up into a little ball and sleep under the covers right next to her. And I sleep through the night without a sound! I'm usually super tired after playing all day... I am not a fan of other doggos, but I love all of my human friends. Since I play a lot, my momma says I might knock down the little humans, I play really well with older children! I think I would love to be in a house with lots of people to play with me and snuggle. I cannot wait to meet you, and hopefully become your forever friend! Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet Caspian! Caspian is the sweetest, most lovable boy ever! He loves to be at your side even if that means laying at your feet chewing on his favorite toy. He is also super silly; not only does he love to help clean up the leaves, he likes to lay in them and be buried in them too. Caspian loves to play with his football, rope and chew on his bones. If you don’t watch him closely, he will sneak outside with his favorite bone and bury it. Caspian seems to enjoy a swim in the lake during the summer months. He loves his dog beds and never chews on things that don’t belong to him. Caspian is pretty low maintenance dog and is great in his crate. He knows basic commands like sit, lay down, stay, come and shake(paw). He is strong on his leash but is much better with his harness. Caspian has a great temperament and gets along well with cats, dogs and kids but they all make him way too excited so we are looking for a home where he will be the only kid/pet. Caspian loves to be outside, loves to lay in the sun and is super happy all the time! He is up to date on shots, neutered, house trained and micro chipped. If you think Caspian is the dog for you and you would like to meet or adopt him, please fill out an online application at .lastdaydogrescue. Questions to cbrookszyyahoo. Moogie is the lighter colored one and is around 2 years old and Ishka looks like a raccoon and is around 18 months old. The vet thinks Moogie is likely Ishka's mom, but we don't know for sure. The girls came to us covered in fleas and sores and took a bit of time to heal up and regrow hair. They have good appetites and are treat motivated, although they are so active and hyper that it's hard for them to focus on what we're actually training to do. They are mostly housebroken, but when they get scared they do piddle a little. The best home for them would be one that has no children under the age of 10. Also, both dogs are scared of men, so female only household preferred. Both girls love to cuddle, but Ishka is a little more independent and likes to sit and look out the window while Moogie naps on my lap. At night they both like to snuggle up next to me and sleep. Ishka likes to be under the covers until she gets too hot, then she climbs out and sleeps next to me on top of the blankets. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
