    Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male

    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 175. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi, I'm Ray. I love to snuggle. It's my favorite thing. I also love to play, run around the yard, stand in the kiddie pool, and make my foster mom laugh. I also like playing with my foster sister Ruby Red. We play pretty rough, but it is all in good fun. Did I mention how handsome I am?!?! Besides handsome, I am also very smart. I know how to get out of fences. That means my future family can't put me in the yard by myself-they will have to hang out with me. Doesn't that sound fun?!?! If you are looking for the best snuggle buddy on the planet, tons of love and laughs, please consider adopting me! Love, Ray Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.

Moogie is the lighter colored one and is around 2 years old and Ishka looks like a raccoon and is around 18 months old. The vet thinks Moogie is likely Ishka's mom, but we don't know for sure. The girls came to us covered in fleas and sores and took a bit of time to heal up and regrow hair. They have good appetites and are treat motivated, although they are so active and hyper that it's hard for them to focus on what we're actually training to do. They are mostly housebroken, but when they get scared they do piddle a little. The best home for them would be one that has no children under the age of 10. Also, both dogs are scared of men, so female only household preferred. Both girls love to cuddle, but Ishka is a little more independent and likes to sit and look out the window while Moogie naps on my lap. At night they both like to snuggle up next to me and sleep. Ishka likes to be under the covers until she gets too hot, then she climbs out and sleeps next to me on top of the blankets. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. This is Wayne, aka Luke, and I believe he is a Yellow Lab mixed with Shar Pei due to the fact that he has a head full of wrinkles. :-) Wayne is a very nice boy who loves to be near his people. He may need a few days to get comfortable but once that happens, he is a real sweetheart. Wayne is potty trained as well. He is playful and likes to run around in the yard with other dogs but settles nicely once inside. Wayne is a medium sized boy making him the perfect fit in most any living situation. He travels well in the car and enjoys to go for walks but does pull a bit. I believe he would do best in a home without kids. Wayne is a good boy and will make someone very happy but we do feel that he would be best with an experienced owner. Thank you and have a good day. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. “A dark eyed beauty with a smile all her own.” Hi! I’m Ellie, a sweet, affectionate girl who is on a journey to find my forever home. I was rescued from an abandoned yard and am so excited to have an opportunity to find a family that I can love. Training and trust have been key on the road to my transformation from orphan to loyal companion. I’m learning how to interact properly with dogs of various sizes, and how to listen to my handler when distractions exist. I know many commands, such as sit, stay, shake, no, come, go potty, down, roll over, and give kisses. I’m house trained, leash trained and crate trained. I love as much positive attention as possible, (who doesn’t?) and am not certain I want to share your affection with other animals. I like Nylabones, Kong toys and real bones but have a hard time sharing such treats with canine buddies. (I never got any before I was rescued.) A home where I can be the sole shining canine star would be ideal. I’ve been described as very affectionate, (I love cuddles!), sensitive, and mostly submissive. I can be insecure when it comes to loud noises, such as thunderstorms and fireworks. My future owners will need to be patient and kind, and continue with my training and socialization. I’m a sweet girl who is longing for a home where I’ll never be left behind again. Can you help me complete my journey and make my dreams of a loving home come true? Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet Caspian! Caspian is the sweetest, most lovable boy ever! He loves to be at your side even if that means laying at your feet chewing on his favorite toy. He is also super silly; not only does he love to help clean up the leaves, he likes to lay in them and be buried in them too. Caspian loves to play with his football, rope and chew on his bones. If you don’t watch him closely, he will sneak outside with his favorite bone and burry it. Caspian seems to enjoy a swim in the lake during the summer months. He loves his dog beds and never chews on things that don’t belong to him. Caspian is pretty low maintenance dog and is great in his crate. He knows basic commands like sit, lay down, stay, come and shake(paw). He is strong on his leash but is much better with his harness. Caspian has a great temperament and gets along well with cats, dogs and kids but they all make him way too excited so we are looking for a home where he will be the only kid/pet. Caspian loves to be outside, loves to lay in the sun and is super happy all the time! He is up to date on shots, neutered, house trained and micro chipped. If you think Caspian is the dog for you and you would like to meet or adopt him, please fill out an online application at .lastdaydogrescue. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Sunny was adopted in Oct 2013 and returned to us through no fault of her own. Sunny is with her original foster and is a happy girl. She lives with large dogs, cats, knows several commands, rides around in the truck, sleeps on the bed. She likes to snuggle and hang out with us. Heelers can have a tendency to herd small children (we have not seen this). For this reason Sunny would do best with children 12 yrs and older. Sunny's perfect home is one where her person is around most of the time. She loves to putter in the yard, go run errands, basically do whatever her foster does (velcro dog). She is fine with or without another friendly dog. Sunny is a medium energy dog, would not want to go on long walks or runs. Sunny would be a wonderful companion for the right person or family. She is a terrier mix with possibly some bull terrier in her. Harley is very affectionate and is happiest when she is cuddling with you and actually touching you. I think she would be better with older children than with real young ones. She would enjoy a fenced yard where she could run and play. Harley is housebroken and tells you when she wants to go out. Harley is smart and would most likely excel at obedience or agility or possibly other dog sports. It's hard to see it in her photos, but she is white with black spots (like a Dalmation) on the backs of her ears. She is quite unique and a beautiful dog.
