  • Chug Dog For Adoption in St Mary's, Ontario, Canada

    Blanche

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Chug
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: Canada
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Pug / Mixed (short coat). 6 year old "dainty diva" mix. Good things do come in small packages, or at least that’s what ARF adoptable dog Blanche wants to make clear. This tiny treasure is loving, fun, active, social, and would look exquisite with a mini-sized tiara on her head. Although she weighs in at only 4 pounds, Blanche is a heavy-weight when it comes to doling out affection. She lives with multiple humans, dogs, and cats and loves them all. Her every-day aim is to snuggle up to anyone, and wants to be on a lap at all times. Blanche is housetrained and sleeps through the night, under the covers in the master bedroom. No crate time needed for this independent Miss, and she even comes with her very own favourite doggy bed for nap times. When she’s not cuddling, she’s outside zooming around and enjoying the exercise with other canine buddies. Divas like Blanche are delightful, yet they do have a requirement or two. Blanche is not a fan at all about being left alone or being denied the lime light. She will indeed let EVERYONE know of her displeasure should this happen, so for this reason her adopter should live in a detached family home with plenty of time to meet the needs of this little dynamo! Blanche would make a great “take your dog to work” companion and easily excel at visits to retirement homes, camping trips etc. Everyone that meets this pup falls instantly in love with her. Blanche is all set to find her match as she has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has received flea/tick preventative. If you’re looking for a teeny tiny sidekick that will light up your life, why not visit .arfontario and apply to meet Blanche!

  • Mastador Dog For Adoption in St Mary's, Ontario, Canada

    Oakley

    rescue
    Breed: Mastador
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: Canada
Posted Breed: Mastiff / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). 8 month old "bold and bubbly" mix. Oakley has a non-stop wag in her tail, and zest for life in foster care! Oakley's a young dog, still learning about new experiences. In her past, stranger dogs were not friendly so she's a work-in-progress using treats/reward when meeting new dogs. Oakley is living with adult humans, adolescent children, 2 kitty critters, and multiple dogs she has now befriended. Although she gets along fine with this furry crew she is proving to be very selective of the canines that she has met so far. ARF will provide professional training classes with a wonderful dog trainer in the London area to help ensure an adopter is well equipped with knowledge and skills to do intros with other dogs. Oakley is almost housetrained and sleeps all night in her comfy crate, and loves to snuggle on the sofa with her people after a long walk/run. Oakley is growing into a gorgeous gal, with a passion for activity! She loves her people so much and will form a bond quickly, ready to wag her tail off and succumb to ear scritches and belly rubs. Oakley is ready to find her perfect match as she has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has received flea preventative meds. To apply for Oakley’s adoption visit .arfontario.

  • Rottweiler-Unknown Mix Dog For Adoption in St Mary's, Ontario, Canada

    Callie

    rescue
    Breed: Rottweiler-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: Canada
Posted Breed: Shepherd / Rottweiler / Mixed (medium coat). 1 year old "sunny 'n social" mix. Affectionate, athletic, and loyal. ARF girl Callie is all of these things and more! After taking time to recover from an injury to her leg, she is ready to enjoy all the benefits of her very own loving forever family. Callie has been enjoying her time in foster care with her 2 humans and one large-breed doggy friend, all in a country setting. The easy-going environment with few cars and distractions seems to agree with Callie, so a rural adoptive home would be her preferred choice. Callie is very social with all humans she meets and would like nothing more than to wind up in someone’s lap. Work is still underway to polish her doggy manners, so her forever folks would need to support the use of positive reinforcement training techniques only. Callie is still growing and is already a large gal, so family members in her new home must be old enough to be very steady on their feet so that her smooches won’t bowl them over. Although Callie has grown to cherish the friendship of the resident canine, she has not had experiences meeting other dogs or cats yet. We think that Callie would be happy as the only critter in her new home, but do certainly recommend that introductions to any potential new doggy pal be slow and controlled. Callie has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is eager to learn and has so much love to give. If you would like to meet this beautiful ‘n bubbly dog, visit .arfontario.

    Guinness

    Breed: Collie-Labrador Retriever Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: Canada
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Collie / Mixed (short coat). 3.5 year old "bouncy bestie" mix. Greetings hoomans! I’m Guinness and I’m looking for a very special adopter…could that be you? I came into ARF’s care as a bit of a sensitive soul, and I’ve been working very hard with my foster family to understand how wonderful my life is going to be! My history included some use of a painful prong collar, and that has meant that I can be wary of new people or doggie friends, especially when touching my neck area. However I love my harness I get to wear now when out for my walks, and there are treats, treats, treats galore! I really shine at many aspects of my training. I know how to ask to go outside to do my business and I love my crate, even going to it with a one-word cue from my family. I love to play tug with my rope and am catching on now to making sure I give my people a chance to win. Walks are a must for me, and my adopters should use only positive reinforcement to guide me, both at home and in an ARF-approved training class. I can be both a goof ball and a snuggle bug, whichever moves me at any particular time. I’m a master level cuddler, making sure to keep you warm on the couch. My foster family describes me as “the best mix of bouncy fun, and a chill low-maintenance dude”. I would prefer to be the only resident pet in your home because, well, cats sort of frighten me and although I can meet other friendly pooches it does take me a while to get comfy with them. My pooch foster sister is my BFF though, since she is OK with my crazy play style. Since I’m active and need some extra special training attention, I would do best in an adult-only home or one with kids old enough to actively help with my training plan. I’m a healthy lad and have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and received flea & heart worm preventative. If you are looking for the ultimate in companionship and loyalty, and a dog to give you continuous hugs, then visit .arfontario.
