    Breed: Labrador Retriever-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult

Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved. We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application. As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants. Lexi is a 1 year old female lab/shepherd mix who weighs in at 45 pounds. Lexi lovingly raised her babies in an ARF foster home and now she is ready to find a loving home of her own. She will be available for adoption on or after May 25th after being spayed. Lexi is affectionate, eager to please, and curious about household activities. She enjoys cuddling, snacks, fetching toys, and trying to sit in her peoples’ lap. She is very graceful. Lexi has not lived with any cats since coming to ARF, so not sure if she is good with cats. She does fine with all sized people. Lexi is ok with dogs when introduced properly. Lexi would do great with a fenced yard to run around and play. She is still playful like a puppy and enjoys all toys, running, and jumping. Lexi is looking forward to the next chapter of her life, hanging out and cuddling with her human! Is that you? Lexi is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and spayed. Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Lexi's adoption fee is $275. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Lexi fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting. If you’re invited to meet an animal: Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals. All household members must be present at the time of adoption, including dogs. We appreciate your cooperation!

This little boy is ready and waiting for his forever home. He'd like a family that wants a loving little guy they can spend time spoiling. Arnold, aka, Arnie, is a small Chihuahua that weighs in at 6 pounds and is about 8 years old. Because he had a very bad beginning in life, he has lost all of his teeth and requires a soft diet. One of the things that Arnie loves to do is prance and run around in the back yard and play with his foster brother and sister. He does not have any problems with other dogs or cats. Arnie loves to cuddle at night in bed with a loved one but is not much of a day-time cuddler. He will follow you around all day long but he knows to stay out from under foot so he does not get stepped on or trip you. Arnie is house-broken and will let you know when he needs to go outside, which if you let him, would be every time the door opens. Arnold is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Arnold's adoption fee is $275. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Arnold fill out an Online Application today! Alice was originally adopted from ARF as a baby. She was then named Dulce, but for ARF records she is known as Alice. She is an owner surrender for reasons that are no fault of her own. Best guess when Alice and her siblings were babies were that they are Chihuahua mix - but, obviously the "mix" part was another slightly larger breed! (The current picture of her with another dog is her reuniting with her sister for a visit and playdate). She is a sweet girl who loves to be near people and toys!! She loves playing with toys by herself and with you. She is working on house-training and will benefit from typical obedience training that is beneficial for all pups her age. She is a typical puppy and has a lot of energy and loves to run around. Alice would do best with active people who would bring her along on their journeys. or would be happy to expend her energy by playing or running with her. Alice is looking for her forever home - is that you? This pup is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations. The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. The pup's adoption fee is $350. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants. This handsome 3-4 year old purebred Rottweiler boy with a gorgeous natural tail is Gabriel! He came to A.R.F. from a Southern Illinois hoarding situation frightened, neglected, untrained, scarred up, and undernourished at only 51 pounds. In only 4 days Gabe was figuring out toys (watch his video attached from day 2 where he's not quite sure what to do with the toy but knows it's fun!), gaining weight, mastered house training, has a shiny coat, has learned "sit", and is crate trained. To say that he loves cuddles is an understatement. Notice the unmistakable improvement in his photos from his arrival in April to late May! He's starved for attention and just wants to make you happy. You can't help but love this playful but uncertain sweetheart. He loves to chase his ball and Wooba, and has the toy thing figured out as you can see in this latest video: youtu.be/hroRva_kJO4. Once he feels safe with you he will be your best friend and give you all the affection and love that you could want. So that Gabriel does not feel intimidated, children should be over 10 and respectful. Gabriel is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, crate trained, and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Gabriel's adoption fee is $350. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants. Hello to all my potential forever homes!! My name is Coco. My fosters call me Coconut. I think it's because I'm full of energy, playful, and occasionally like to do "zoomies". I am a female Lab/Retriever mix, and approximately 2 years old. I had 12 healthy puppies, who have all be adopted. I loved each and every one of my pups. When they got older, we would play for hours. At my last vet visit I weighed in at 53 pounds. The vet made sure I was healthy, up to date on my shots (including rabies), microchipped, and spayed. I am housebroken and I will let you know if it's been too long since my last bathroom break. I love children. I have not really had much exposure to cats. With dogs, I am a little bit shy at first, but do like most dogs. I have learned to enjoy walks and no longer try to hurry. I only pull when I see something I really need to get at. I would still enjoy a fenced yard that allows me to run and work off my energy. I am working on commands. I am doing well with off, stay, leave it, and sit. I really enjoy being in the company of humans. I am very loyal and loving! Although I like being snuggled and pet, I also love to play with toys. I will play fetch all by myself, tug-o-war, and I will run after toys when you throw them, I'm still working on bringing them back, though! Coco is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and house-trained. Her n ew family will be required to complete a basic obedience course with her. Coco 's adoption fee is $275. Rascal is a full grown 2 year old neutered male Terrier mix who weighs in at 23 pounds.. Although he is 2 years old, Rascal still has plenty of puppy in him. H is fully house and crate trained. Rascal is affectionate and playful once he has warmed up. He gets so excited he swats himself in the face with his tail! Rascal also enjoys relaxing in his crate. He is excellent with dogs and all family members. Ideally, he would be a great second to dog. He gets along phenomenally with the other dog at his foster home, and likes to play. He takes his cues largely from the resident dog. For example, when the resident dog comes for affection then Rascal wants love too. He is very content being independent, but also likes the companionship. He does not have any anxiety or fear of playful loud children, storms, or being left alone, etc. He can be skittish during transitions, so doesn't like to walk on a leash. Rascal is not a fan of adoption events, so appointments will be scheduled at the foster home. Rascal is a super sweet, and a relatively low maintenance companion!
