    Justice

    Breed: Rottweiler
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Rottweiler (short coat). If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved. We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application. As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants. Imagine being rescued from a home that had 29 Rottweilers! Justice is a small 3-4 year old male Rottie, weighing in at just 60 pounds. He has the cutest face with just a hint of a beard on him. Justice is a shy dog at first. Being a Rottie, he is a bit standoffish when you initially meet him. Being one of so many, direct contact with humans was more limited. He wants to be sure you won’t hurt him. If your hand flies towards the top of his head to scratch his ears, he will flinch a bit, but every day he is with his foster this reflex is lessening. Justice is coming to his foster expecting pets, scratches, and love more and more each day. Watching the other dogs in his foster home, it took him 4 days to decide that he should nap on the bed with the other dogs. Ditto with his expectation of a treat when he comes in the door. Seeing him slowly turn into a family dog is very special. He has discovered antlers, bully sticks, and plush toys are the bomb! He is starting to act like a teenager - loves to growl, chase, and pounce on brooms and mops. He warms up to every woman he comes across and is slower to warm up to men. Seems like in his past home he wasn't treated all that well by the man of the house. Preference will be given to people with experience with Rotties and/or a home with another dog for him to play with. This sweet boy needs some TLC and patience, but once he trusts you, he is your constant companion! Justice is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, working on house-training and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Justice 's adoption fee is $400. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Justice fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting. If you’re invited to meet an animal: Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals. All household members must be present at the time of adoption, including dogs. We appreciate your cooperation!

Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants. This handsome 3-4 year old purebred Rottweiler boy is Gabriel. He came to A.R.F. from Southern Illinois frightened, untrained, scarred up, and undernourished at only 51 pounds. In only 4 days Gabe is playing with toys (watch his video from day 2), gaining weight, doing great with house training, has a shiny coat, and is learning some basic commands. Gabriel is crate trained. To say that he loves cuddles is an understatement. He's such a loving guy, especially toward women, and he is tentative when meeting new people. He appears to have some fear of men at this time. While we're learning more about him we'll tentatively list him as needing adults or children over 13 and an only dog. This may change as we slowly try him in various situations. So far, he has been indifferent about the foster's cat. He's starved for attention and just wants to make you happy. You can't help but love this sweetheart. Only homes experienced with this breed will be considered. Gabriel is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Gabriel's adoption fee is $350. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Gabriel fill out an Online Application today! Carl is a 3 year old neutered male Chihuahua. He is housebroken and does pretty good on a leash and does well in an apartment setting going out on his leash for potty. He likes to walk longer for going #2, but typically goes #1 right away. Carl is a boy that is a strong walker and wants to play. He has lots of energy. When out, his nose and ears are going full on. he gets excited about birds, ducks, and squirrels. Carl loves everyone. He is ok with other dogs and cats, and may need a little time to get to know other pets, but will do fine once introduced. He does like to talk to other dogs when out on walks and likes to let his foster know when he hears unfamiliar sounds inside. He is crate trained and does well in the crate when left alone. Carl likes to cuddle under the blankets with you at night and sleeps through the night just fine. He loves to give kisses and would be great with an active senior citizen. Peaches is an adorable 10-12 month old chihuahua mix. She weighs just under 7 pounds. Peaches came to ARF ready to deliver. The vet said that she had already previously had a litter of pups. Peaches delivered prematurely, and her 4 puppies didn’t make it. Peaches wants to regain her youth now. She is still a puppy and desperately wants to be loved and cuddled. Life hasn't been all that kind to her thus far, but you can change all that by making her a part of your forever family and loving her as she was meant to be loved. ARF requests kids over 6 years of age due to her small, fragile size. Peaches is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. Hello - I am Cesar, a fun and loving 2 year old chihuahua mix. I weigh 12 pounds, am microchipped and up to date on shots. I have a beautiful brown coat. I am good with other dogs but not cats or some men. I also would do best with children over the age of 10. I was found as a stray in Chicago and have been in a foster home with other smaller dogs. I am a laid back guy, given that I do need a regular walk as I am still a young dog. I am hoping for a new family soon! I am house trained. I am a good watch dog, but don’t bark a lot as some chihuahuas do. Please consider me as part of your family - I have a lot of love to give! Cesar is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Cesar' s adoption fee is $300. This little boy is ready and waiting for his forever home. He'd like a family that wants a loving little guy they can spend time spoiling. Arnold, aka, Arnie, is a small Chihuahua that weighs in at 6 pounds and is about 8 years old. Because he had a very bad beginning in life, he has lost all of his teeth and requires a soft diet. One of the things that Arnie loves to do is prance and run around in the back yard and play with his foster brother and sister. He does not have any problems with other dogs or cats. Arnie loves to cuddle at night in bed with a loved one but is not much of a day-time cuddler. He will follow you around all day long but he knows to stay out from under foot so he does not get stepped on or trip you. Arnie is house-broken and will let you know when he needs to go outside, which if you let him, would be every time the door opens. Arnold is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Arnold's adoption fee is $275. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Arnold fill out an Online Application today! The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants. Meet Coco! She is a 1.5-2 year old spayed female Lab/Retriever mix who weighs in at 53 pounds. She is housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go out. Coco gave birth to 12 healthy puppies a week after she came to A.R.F. She was an amazing mother and loved playing with all of her puppies! All of her pups have been adopted and she is looking forward to finding her own forever home. Coco would do best in a home that has a high energy young dog or pup, or in a home with no other dogs. She currently lives with an old, grumpy Dachshund and is always trying to get him to play (he's 11 - so he has earned the right to be grumpy). When she sees a young human boy or girl she can't wait to get close to say hello, however, her higher levels of energy may be too much for an unsteady toddler (she may knock them over unintentionally). Coco would probably be happiest with a large outside area to run and play. She also enjoys going on walks. Coco still has many puppy characteristics (i.e. playful, energetic, clumsy), but she is very sweet, loyal, and loving! She doesn't mind when new people come in the house and she warms up to them quickly. However, when outside, strange people and other dogs seem to make her anxious. Coco enjoys playing with toys and even has a few favorites! She will toss the toy in the air and then go chase after it. She loves being in the company of her humans. Sometimes she will lay at their feet, playing with a toy. Other times she would prefer to be on the couch snuggled right next to them! Coco is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and house-trained. Her n ew family will be required to complete a basic obedience course with her. Coco 's adoption fee is $275. Rascal is a full grown 2 year old neutered male Terrier mix who weighs in at 23 pounds.. Although he is 2 years old, Rascal still has plenty of puppy in him. H is fully house and crate trained. Rascal is affectionate and playful once he has warmed up. He gets so excited he swats himself in the face with his tail! Rascal also enjoys relaxing in his crate. He is excellent with dogs and all family members. Ideally, he would be a great second to dog. He gets along phenomenally with the other dog at his foster home, and likes to play. He takes his cues largely from the resident dog. For example, when the resident dog comes for affection then Rascal wants love too. He is very content being independent, but also likes the companionship. He does not have any anxiety or fear of playful loud children, storms, or being left alone, etc. He can be skittish during transitions, so doesn't like to walk on a leash.
