  • American Pit Bull Terrier-Unknown Mix Dog For Adoption in Fredericksburg, VA, USA

    Mia

    verified

    rescue
Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $150. Mia and her brother Dozer were just returned to our rescue. Stay tuned for updates as we get to know her better. Mandy is a beautiful petite girl that loves giving kisses to her favorite people and best-friends at daycare. She is has a moderate energy level and does well with about an 1/2 hour-hour of exercise a day. She is fairly calm and relaxed in a home setting and has been learning that inside the house is not a place to play and furniture is for relaxing not jumping on. She is a definite snuggle buy and loves to curl up on her human companions. She used to live with another female and was extremely tolerant of her high energy sister. Even when she was tugging on her leg while Mandy was trying to sleep she never got irritated or upset with her best-friend and even enjoyed attending daycare regularly with her. Mandy may be a small package, but she lives life full of passion and her intensity for everything shows. She loves intensely, bonds intensely, and approaches life eagerly and willingly. She can be a bit timid in unknown environments, but is overall a confident girl that quickly adapts to changes in her life. She has been learning better greeting skills with other dogs while living in an open daycare environment. She didn't understand that not all dogs are comfortable with greetings and this would often cause her some frustration, but she has learned that sometimes a good dog handshake just has to wait until the other dog is comfortable. Mandy would excel in a home with a confident male/alpha male that is playful and has a relaxed nature. Since she is passionate it is best that she not be in a home with another dog with a similar personality as it could be overwhelming for both dogs.

Dog's Name: Daisy Duke Estimated Breed : Anatolian Shepherd Mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: approx. 85 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $300 DOG'S DESCRIPTION Daisy was surrendered to a shelter in SC from the owners who she's been with since she was a puppy because they decided she was too big for them to handle. She is a giant sweetheart with an even bigger heart. She loves to gently stand up on her back legs and give you big hugs. She has tested well with other dogs and would be a great addition to almost any household (as long as you have the space!) Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $350. Hey, whazzup...I'm Negan...The Road Dawg!!! I have no competition. I am an old soul in a child's body. I like to keep to myself the most but that doesn't mean I can't create my own kinda trouble! I am the escape artist...lulling Mom into a false sense of security and then BAM...outta my pen, away from my brothers and snoozing on the nice soft stairs. I'm pretty good on leash because I know that means we are going out for treats and training and that's something I can really get into! I love food of just about any kind. I love carrots, cucumbers, coconut oil, blueberries and bananas...especially bananas!!! Since I'm the biggest, I like to bully my brothers and try to eat their food. But they're catching on and I'm getting much better about minding my manners. Like my brothers, my obedience training is a work in progress. I know sit; focus and watch me and I'm quickly learning shake and down. I will sit and stay but, me and my brothers are just messing with Mom when we do that. Oh and I understand leave it and drop but sometimes I just don't want to. Probably my most favorite training game is FIND IT!!! That one is soooo much fun and I get to run off leash to do that one. My potty training is a work in progress, too. I just stop and go where I'm at most of the time but, I will hit a pad and sit by the back door once in awhile if I really think it through. I like my crate and share it with my brothers so, I will go into it when asked...just like they do. I like playing in the kiddie pool and getting wet. Mom says that's because I come from the deep end of the Lab gene pool, whatever that means. I also like sitting on the couch or the stairs with Mom and Dad so I can soak up some attention away from my brothers. I love sleeping on the sofa with Mom and Dad and now I'm big enough to get up there on my own if I try hard enough. But I'm just as happy sleeping on the floor at their feet. Don't tell my brothers but, Mom says I'm her favorite. I really like it here with Mom and Dad, the big dogs and cats but, I'm ready to settle down in my own place and lead the good life. Anyway, that's my short story. Since I'm only about 14 weeks old there is quite a bit more to be written and I'm looking for somebody to help me do that.
