Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (short coat). Adoption Fee: 250. DISCO was saved from a kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on Saturday 3rd August. We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Disco is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of January 2024 and at the beginning of August weighed around 35 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. DISCO is a big, goofy, affectionate love bug. He gets on great with other dogs, sharing a communal living area with 9 other dogs and has a great time playing and wrestling and making sure he gets his human cuddles when I am over with them all. He is responsive and will be fun to train as he wants to please. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life. DISCO has a reduced adoption fee of $250 in hopes to find his forever home and family. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.
