German Shepherd Dog Puppy For Sale in KANSAS CITY, MO, USA
Black German Shepherd, 14mo intact female, trained as a service dog since 16 weeks; washed out for failure to bond with disabled handler. She is healthy, smart, learns fast, a great companion, fully housebroken (eliminates on command), well-trained professionally and personally, a loud doorbell and intruder alarm. She responds appropriately to the following commands: sit, lie down, off, heel, yes/no, leave-it, stop, kennel, place, in/outside, wait, lick, kiss, settle, out, get it, drop it, come, toy, play, and will fetch for hours. She can identify different objects such as tug, rope, ball, water, bowl, and treat. She knows the Service Dog tasks: tuck, deep pressure therapy, alerts/responds to crying by licking handler's face, and is good in public (but loves kids and other dogs). She is familiar with a prong and e-collar, fully vaccinated, healthy, microchipped, and most recent vet visit was 07/21/22. She is reactive to kids and people (non-aggression, just too excited for service work), hates cats, washed from service dog training due to an inability to bond with disabled handler. She is allergic to beef products (diarrhea), avoidant of extreme anxiety/panic, needs a lot of mental enrichment, physical activity, will run wildly out an open door, and is unfamiliar with ordinary dog greeting behavior, so other dogs can be aggressive to her, but she has successfully integrated to a dog park. She does shed. would be delighted to keep her as a family pet, however she would be best served by a family with older kids and a big fenced yard. I do not recommend her around infants or toddlers as she can jump and knock someone down, potentially hurting a child. She will try to "shepherd" or "herd" a young child by mouthing a hand/arm. This can feel/look like biting, it is gentle with no pressure and is not aggressive, but will bother a young child. This is inherent in the nature of a German Shepherd.
