READY TO GO HOME Beautiful Dark Chocolate Male Havanese, "Lewey", from Squiggles and Shakespeare. He has pretty green eyes! Lineage has AKC CHampions. His size should be between 8-9 pounds. He has a beautiful personality as well as beauty on the outside. Since Havanese are a small, but sturdy breed, I don't let puppies go until they are about 10 weeks old. I believe in letting the natural, mommy-dog-instinct decide when to wean puppies. This natural weaning usually occurs for Havanese between 8-9.5 weeks of age. Many other breeders pull puppies away from Mom before they are ready because they want to sell the puppies sooner. This means more money for the breeder, but less healthy for the puppy. I put the puppies' health as the first priority. Puppies are born right by me. They grow up in my kitchen where lots of young adults, as well as some older adults, are always in and out. They get plenty of socialization by the time they go to your home. They have de-wormer, 1st set of shots, Veterinarian check-up and a clean bill of health before they are allowed to leave their birth home. Puppies are puppy pad trained, outdoor training, crate training, and leash training in progress; and working on “come” before they go to your home. All of my Moms and Dads have extensive health testing completed before being allowed to breed. This includes CERF, BAER, cardiac, hips & patellas, and blood work to check liver and kidney function.
