Buttercup reminds me of Baby Simba in the original Lion King movie: whenever we go outside to play, she will lay flat on her belly until something (anything!) in her sight line moves and then she POUNCES! She has the most inquisitive eyes..I often glance down to see her staring up at me with the slightest tilt to her head and a ‘What ya doin?’ in her eyes. She is on the quieter side, though very playful and affectionate in the extreme. Her pitch black coat has recently begun to add a subtle shading of her mom’s chocolate color on just her ears, and she seems to add a few more of her dad’s curls every few days.

Tucker is a 2nd generation Labradoodle born of a Labradoodle (Labrador retriever/std. poodle) dam and a standard poodle sire. He is a big boy, weighing approximately 85 lbs-all of it sweetness and outgoing personality. His favorite hobbies are making new friends and collecting socks fresh from the dryer.

Kona is a chocolate Labrador retriever who proved with her first litter of puppies to have a great maternal instinct-delivering 10 full-term, healthy babies that she didn’t just feed but fattened—all 10 weighed between 6.5 and 8.1 pounds at their 6 weeks vet visit! Like Tucker, Kona is also a large example of her breed, with her normal (non-pregnant) weight always in the 85-89 lbs range; however, she is also tall and long and while solidly-built, not at all overweight. She loves to hunt ‘critters’ and will actively stalk or wait vigilant and still for hours in pursuit of a target of her curiosity. Her favorite animals are cows and her favorite place is on top of the levee, riding with the windows rolled down.
