Riverside Retrievers is a small family kennel located in Mount Airy North Carolina. Over 25 years of selective breeding. Exceptional Health, temperament, conformation and trainability. RiverSide Retrievers strives to produce dogs with a loving family orientated temperament but also to have a natural working drive and great "on/off switch. This allows our dogs to be able to thrive in any career or life style their new family may have. Several of our pups have gone on to have a successful career as service dogs as well as champion hunting partners. Our pups are exposed to a variety of different experiences prior to adoption, including other dogs, many species of animals, different ages of people (children and adults), loud noises (pans being drops, power tools, cap guns, ect.) We also believe good genetics create great dogs! Therefore, we have our breeders health tested, this includes but is not limited to OFA hip/elbow, vet examined for ocular and cardiactric health, and embark dna paneling. Our puppies also receive a health check prior to leaving our facility by a board certified veterinarian giving our customers the ease of mind that they are receiving a happy healthy new companion. If for whatever reason a customer is no longer able to keep one of our pups, we will take the animal back since we never want our pups to find themselves in a bad living situation.
