Hi my name is Hans Solo born on 09/01/19 in a litter of 7 I am the youngest. I am large and still growing but with regular walks and conditioning I can maintain my muscular frame. My foster human says I am a gentle giant love bug, sweet temperament, soft disposition and motivated by food, baths, and tummy rubs. I have acute touchdown dance, and a big boy bark, which sounds ferocious when I need to while I am learning to be protective of my people and packmates. My Mom is a full German Shepherd and my dad is half German Shepherd half Belgian Malinois both from working lines. I have inherited my mom’s sweet temperament but am learning to be protective and more active like my Dad. I can be a bit lazy and prefer short intense bursts of activities followed by rest, treats and cuddles. I have had introduction to basic commands but would love more one on one work. I have a medium-high prey drive so squirrels, cats and moving targets get me excited. Noises and lights do not bother me, and I love toys that make sounds and light up, or metal clanking food bowls. I give good lap hugs (on signal) and if I think you are upset will crawl on your lap, cuddle, and love on you. I like my man cave (crate) for safe space but prefer to sleep near handler. I was placed with a single male handler for a while, but he is moving cross country and cannot take me with him. I have not been around children very much, though I have been around other dogs, cats, and a house rabbit. I can be stand offish with strangers and am starting to be protective of my home but once I know I can trust you I like to stay close. I prefer to be a household dog and if left outside cry or find activities. I can adapt to more activity or less if I get to snuggle with my human at night. No vet records were provided, so I will need to restart vaccinations and be micro-chipped and am hugely discounted to offset that cost. A little cautious around new people and prefer girl to boy dogs as friends. Come meet me!
