I got my name because I look like a Kodiak bear, with a white zig zag on my chest. I am the largest in a litter of four and the only male, so I got used to a lot of female dogs. I will likely be between 80 and 90 lbs fully grown with a more German shepherd look than Belgian Malinois, but as I mature it could go lighter or darker, based on prior litters adult looks. I am super sweet and tend to enjoy short bursts of activity followed by long naps. I have had a little bit of harness time and intro to agility but am content to enjoy my medium high prey drive with toys that make noise, light up and move. I really like going in the pool, and I am getting fairly good about bath time, though I prefer to roll in dirt to dry off than be brushed, and I love the water, running through sprinklers, jumping in the wading pool or mud puddles. I am motivated by food and yummy treats though I am very responsive to praise and pets. I like to sleep where I can see my handler, I’ll tolerate the crate for short periods of time, I prefer to have cooler sleeping arrangements, but I’ll share if I need too. I have a sweet consistently calm temperament and am growing into a smart, confident little guy. I will explore a little on my own but like to keep eyes on my handler. I have been around my pack and some other vaccinated dogs, occasional children, but with the quarantine have not had my puppy shots nor as much socialization as I would like. Call for a play date and we will see if we can become a fur-ever loving family.

Sire Tuko is a five-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois (European import working line) and German Shepherd (European import working line) male. He has long elegant lines and weight varies between 88 and 94 lbs of wiry strength. He’s a handsome boy who excelled at finding and tracking scents in urban situations. He’s not registerable because of the mix, and he requires hours per day of structured training and activity in addition to his own games. Highly intelligent and clever, he does get bored easily and we often mix up our routine. He’s quite adventurous and sometimes too independent minded but when his harness goes on, he’s all business. He becomes hyper focused on mission until its completed. While he’s not big on affection, he does love getting bathed, groomed and fussed over. He has a tri color coat from beige, to black to silver tipped, with a diamond mark on tale and white star on chest.

Dam Kaia is a three-and-a-half-year-old, pure German Shepherd (American) and at a solid 86- 88 lbs large for a female. She has long, clean elegant lines and big bat ears with a very long tapered tale. She has the more traditional black and tan coloring. She is one of the sweetest shepherds I have ever worked with and her calm temperament and adaptability make her a joy to handle. True to her nature she is a fierce protector of her offspring, yet I can leave her alone with baby rabbits, kittens, small children and know that they are safe. This is her third and likely last litter, which she graciously allowed me to assist with the birthing and allowed me unfettered access to her puppies as we all slept as a pack. Kaia’s temperament is such that more of the puppies show her calmness and loving side and I kept one from her last litter because she is such an amazing girl who is doing very well in her training.
