Born September 1st, 2019, my name is Zelda, like the video game. I am a solid black female German shepherd Belgian Malinois who will likely be between 50 and 70 lbs fully grown. I am very smart and adventurous with a medium to high prey drive. I am a soft temperament, so a little correction goes a long way. I am very smart, highly active, and always looking for adventure and exploration. I love following my nose to new places, even if I should focus on my handler. I am smart, sweet eager to learn and please. My handler had a split arrangement with my fur-ever home where I would stay work week with her and weekends with my other family. As I shed my puppy coat into adult fur my other handler developed serious allergies that kept getting worse. At first I was crated in another room, but made a few doggy jail breaks with my wire kennels, then I was kept outside but got lonely and had to dig out, then was in a garage but I was so used to being around my handler and pack full time that I did not deal with the separation well and developed some bad habits like digging, howling, bending wires and fences, and eew sometimes eating poo. When I went back to my first handler full time, I literally slept on top of her so I would not be kicked out of the pack again. I have bad separation anxiety and am now acting fearful, anxious, and yippy in new situations or getting into strange cars, yards, or homes. Since I was giving free range for nose work while in a harness, could use a lot of polish on my leash and collar manners. I was started in basics sit, down, stay but am a bit rusty. When I came back, I had a litter of puppies as competition and did not get as much time as I needed to thrive. I had puppy class and started basic formal obedience before the quarantine, since then I have been isolated from unfamiliar dogs, people and situations, and missing the critical socialization and structure I need. Sire Tuko is a five-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois (European import working line) and German Shepherd (European import working line) male. He has long elegant lines and weight varies between 88 and 94 lbs of wiry strength. He’s a handsome boy who excelled at finding and tracking scents in urban situations. He’s not registerable because of the mix, and he requires hours per day of structured training and activity in addition to his own games. Highly intelligent and clever, he does get bored easily and we often mix up our routine. He’s quite adventurous and sometimes too independent minded but when his harness goes on, he’s all business. He becomes hyper focused on mission until its completed. While he’s not big on affection, he does love getting bathed, groomed and fussed over. He has a tri color coat from beige, to black to silver tipped, with a diamond mark on tale and white star on chest.

Dam Kaia is a three-and-a-half-year-old, pure German Shepherd (American) and at a solid 86- 88 lbs large for a female. She has long, clean elegant lines and big bat ears with a very long tapered tale. She has the more traditional black and tan coloring. She is one of the sweetest shepherds I have ever worked with and her calm temperament and adaptability make her a joy to handle. True to her nature she is a fierce protector of her offspring, yet I can leave her alone with baby rabbits, kittens, small children and know that they are safe. This is her third and likely last litter, which she graciously allowed me to assist with the birthing and allowed me unfettered access to her puppies as we all slept as a pack. Kaia’s temperament is such that more of the puppies show her calmness and loving side and I kept one from her last litter because she is such an amazing girl who is doing very well in her training.
