Casper is good with dogs of all sizes. He is indifferent to cats. Casper requires another dog in the home to learn from and to model behavior. His best friend at the rescue is another standard poodle named Roman; Casper follows him diligently and looks to him for comfort and guidance. What is my personality like? Casper is a sweet young boy who has a lot to say. He is shy when you first meet him but when he does open up to you he will show you just how sweet intelligent and curious he is. He sleeps in a crate and does well with keeping it clean. He often seeks out the comfort of his crate so it’s recommended he have one in the home to help him adjust. It is required he have another large calm dog in the home to show him that life as a pet isn’t so bad. Casper has very little experience with most things in life so Casper’s family will need to understand he needs patience and time to be the best version of himself. Casper will also need positive reinforcement training and will exceed in this as he is very smart. He is food motivated and is not picky about what he eats. He enjoys puzzle toys and lick mats. He has several doggy friends that he enjoys playing with and would like for his k9 companion in the home to be playful and energetic but know when it’s time to just kick back relax and enjoy life. How do I act when I first meet new people? Shy Other tips and tidbits: Casper is estimated at 18 months. We celebrate his birthday as 11/30/2020. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
